Property Ratings at Cheyenne Crest
Beautiful place to live, recommend it, the neighbors are the best, very quite neighborhood but Just know staff is not really up there, if they only had people that actually cared and are not there just to collect it would’ve made it even better.
Very clean apartment complex with helpful staff and maintenance team. Location is great, within walking distance of a nice grocery store and a park, and is a fairly safe area.
Very friendly and easy to work with staff! This is the first apartment I’ve ever moved into and the staff has helped me every step of the way.
Grounds aren't clean. Dog poop.eerywhere. Dog park unusable just a giant litter box. Pool dirty. Needs maintenance. Older but would be kept up better.
I really love the apartment and we have had no real issues at all. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a new place to live!!
It’s an okay place to live. Do love the wood burning fire place and the closeness to shopping and to work. Staff is a lot better and friendly.
Very chill community. So far living here I have had no issues or problems in any area. The neighborhood is nice and maintained and its always nice coming home to the great view of the mountains
Best place ever I love how everyone is so attentive when submitting work orders office staff is amazing also help you in anyway they can make you feel right at home
I've been very satisfied so far. Its a quiet area and the grounds are kept clean. The amenities are nice, especially the pool. The clubhouse is always very clean.
No complaints about Cheyenne Crest except for the lack of enforcing the pool hours during the summertime. Having drunk pool parties till 2 am on a weekday is not appropriate!
Great place to live! I really enjoy my balcony and mountain scene as well as the friendly staff, especially Alexis has been super helpful!!!
It’s a great place to see live, neighbors are nice and friendly also the staff is wonderful. I feel very safe being in this neighborhood knowing that we all look after each other.
So far I have been enjoying my stay here. The application and move in process was extremely easy. The management here is nice and helpful. My spouse and I have only been here for a short time so far but it has been good so far.
My experience at the apartments have been wonderful. The community is nice and the people and neighbors are great. The pool is also a great place to go to relax .
GRIFFINS BLESSINGS TOOK OVER AND I HAVE 0 COMPLAINS. They are an amazing group of people. Always on top of things, and I just have to say that Sharon is one of the best leasing consultants I have ever worked with!(:
Many failed maintenance attempts! Freezing apartments during the winter, loud neighbors! You can hear everything!! The floors squeak, the “upgrades” are cheap and require upmost attention to keep. People park in your paid parking and nobody tows cars regardless of you paying. 3 occurrences thus far. Nothing is perfect but this is too much. Cars get broken into, mailboxes broken into… seriously consider your options…
I have had a great time here so far! The staff is always easy to contact and everyone is very understanding of situations that come up that may cause tenants to struggle. I always feel comfortable reaching out if I need to.
Infested with rodents, insects, and spiders because there are tons of cracks in every corner of the trim and holes under the sink. The staff told me to call pest control myself. They overcharged me in rent $500 and the check they wrote to me bounced. The rent prices you see aren’t what you will pay, expect 400+ extra a month for the random things they tack on. I could go on with 5+ more examples of how horrible they are but seriously just avoid this place.
This place has definitely turned around! It's been under construction for some time, but the pool, outdoor kitchen, dog park, basketball court, and fitness center are all completely new! The newly renovated units look great too! The leasing staff and new maintenance team are very helpful! They prioritize resident maintenance requests as much as possible.
Property Manager at Cheyenne Crest, Responded To This Review
We do our best to provide you with professional service, so we’re happy that our team has contributed to your wonderful experience. Thank you for all this positive feedback!
Cheyenne Crest Apartments is by far the worst I have ever seen. We have notified them multiple times regarding water damage in the ceiling, to the point where the ceiling is falling off, a non functional dishwasher, sink, and garbage disposal since moving in, and a toilet that is nearly detached from the floor. They have yet to come fix it or even look into it after 8 months of multiple notifications. Their office managers are never available to assist with anything. This property is very poorly managed, terribly unorganized, and just an overall wreck.
TL:DR; Pros: Nice staff, laundry was ok (locked out twice with my laundry inside), parking is fine. Cons: Terrible maintenance (broken closet for 3 months), moved into a dirty and broken apartment (sticky drips on all kitchen walls, furnace not working in winter, towel racks falling off), dog poop everywhere, new staff so information is not up to date, and water shut off 1-2x per month for other apartment maintenance. I moved across the country (7 days) into an apartment I was told was ready but had a broken furnace, broken towel bars, and sticky drips all over the kitchen walls. Also I was given the incorrect key on move in and our apartment was just left unlocked when we arrived. Maintenance took 3-4 weeks to get to you initially but near the end of my stay I had a broken closet door for 3 months that was still not fixed on move out. People don't pick up after their pets and the property isn't fast to fix the issue. There is dog poop everywhere and multiple notices are sent out to residents to pick up or to get bigger fine. When the poop is left out it took a month for maintenance to pick it up and the smell in spring was terrible. Water is shut off at least 1-2x per month to fix other apartments. In 6 months we had the water shut off 7 times, there was a fire, and a gas leak on two other occurrences. The laundry was fine but there were a few times I was locked out around 1-2pm (after lunch, before close) and I had to wait extra time for the laundry. All new management and staff so not everyone knows what is going on. When moving out I had 3 people tell me I would pay a reduced rate for the month and 2 tell me I pay in full and get reimbursed with my security deposit. It gets 2 stars because I got my deposit back without a fight.
Live anywhere else. There's dog crap all over the place. Even the dog bag buckets are overflowing. The maintenance staff is lazy and terrible the ripped the floor in my kitchen to get behind the fridge. The office is impossible to reach unless you go see them during the work day. They neighbors are a mix of loud and rude soldiers and loud and drugged up dependas. Parking is impossible. The computer room in the office is either locked or doesn't work. The workout room is also always locked and the equipment is older then the apartments.
Was a newlywed when we moved in around 2011, while signing the lease the manager implied we would divorce. Had a break in while on vacation, a neighbor was broken into a few months later and I found her cat hiding under a set of stairs. Had strangers in black knock in my door in the middle of the night, went to walk my dog one night and a naked man was sitting in some bushes, he jumped out and ran away. Got a notice on my door about a squirrel murderer who was torturing and killing squirrels on the property, neighbors who were loud and then called the police on us because we were watching tv too loudly at 8pm. Had my car towed with no notice. And had the manager and city surveyors let themselves in while I was in the shower. I asked the manager if she could come back so I could put on clothes and she said no. And another thing to note about the apartment is that the bathroom and kitchen are the only areas with lighting installed, so be prepared to buy a lot of lamps, this was something we didn’t notice as first time apartment renters. This place is the absolute worst, all of the one star reviews are accurate. They do an excellent job of making you think it’s a great place to live but don’t be fooled, the crime that occurs within this complex is reason enough to stay away. I have never felt so unsafe in my life.
They told us utilities were covered and that we only had to pay for electricity and gas. Then we received a bill. Fine, understandable. However when we moved out, they took our deposit and billed us for a paint job, drip pans and a whole bunch of other things. We left the apartment clean. I’d attach the photos if I could but it’s not an option on here. When they did the walk through the said it was all good and didn’t point out any deficiencies. We were billed 27 days later and told we had 3 days to pay to addition to taking our deposit. There were multiple things they said that didn’t add up and so many additional charges they gave us throughout the time there. Ended my contract due to deployment and thank God for that.

Thanks for sharing your concerns. We're saddened to read about your negative experiences upon move-out and we'd like to encourage you to reach out to us in the office if you feel like you were wrongly charged. Thanks again for your feedback, and we hope to speak with you soon.
After living in these apartments for a year, I can honestly say I wouldn’t recommend, unless you are looking to fork over a ton of money. Be looking to pay too much for an average apartment, plus electricity and gas, and not to mention water (shared by tenants in the building, meaning I’m paying for other people’s water usage something they don’t tell you upfront), trash, service fees, and cam fees. Not to mention the fees if you would like to have a covered parking spot or a pet.
The management is very friendly and welcoming, and the apartment is pretty spacious and comes with enough storage. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because no matter how much we’ve tried to clean the bathtub, toilet and all sinks, it still has a stink smell. We’ve bought scented candles and air fresheners, and even with those we can still smell it. Moreover, the floors are squeaky and walls very thin. We can hear every movement our next door and upper floor neighbors make, and it can be very loud. We can even hear when they flush the toilets or take a shower, and even just watching the tv. The resident parking lot has recently been “updated,” however, it’s still very bad with so many pot holes. For all of these, I’m giving 2 stars.
For the love of god, don't make the same mistake I did by even considering living at this jail of a complex. The owners of this property care about one thing and one thing only: your money. Here's a list of the pros of living at Cheyenne Crest: 1) They allow Alaskan Malamutes (only reason I moved here, and they may not even allow that breed anymore) 2) It's close to Ft. Carson if you're in the military, as basically only service members live there. Cons: The workers at this complex have done nothing but lie to me since the day I moved in. They showed me an upstairs apartment on my initial tour, but when I moved in I found out I got a base level apartment under THE WORST upstairs neighbors ever. They also changed my rent total at the last second before I moved in, and lied to me multiple times about my monthly utility charges (something I found out they do routinely to all visitors when touring). I had to have about 7 maintenance/repair appointments on my apartment in the first 2 months I lived there, and for at least 3 of them I had to go in a 2nd time just to get those requests placed (all were finally finished after the dates they told me they'd be done). You will regret living here the moment your first rent payment is do GUARANTEED!!!!

Ryan, we are deeply disappointed to see that your experience in our community has not been better. We would also like to apologize as this type of miscommunication is not something that we aim for. We do our best to be as transparent as possible in regard to our fees and charges and we are sorry that the majority of your frustration stems from this. If you would like to discuss this in greater detail, we would be more than happy to chat about how we arrive at our figures. Additionally it is quite typical to experience some amount of noise in multi-family housing, but we encourage you to please alert us if your neighbors are not being respectful during late and early hours of the day. We strive to provide a comfortable five-star home for everyone in our community and we are dedicated to improving upon your experience. Please reach out to us by giving our office a call, or by stopping into the office at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
Quality of the apartments suck, the management doesn't properly replace or maintain buildings what so ever. Parking lots are crammed and certain workers are extremely disrespectful. They do not take care of military members let alone civilians and are only in it to take your money. Way over priced! Can't wait to move, DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Do you like having a rude landlord? If so you've found the perfect place. do you like being belittled and treated poorly by office management? Again, you've found the right place! Cheyennecrest is overpriced for what you get. DIshwashers,stoves,a/c constantly breaking down with 2weeks to 6 months to get it fix. Have you always paid your rent on time with no problems? Forget that. And once you sign that lease you have literally sold your soul to the devil. cause god forbid your military and have to move, they will lie and charge you up the wazoo for every little thing. oh left a pice of paper on the porch? 100 dollar fine. But hey if your okay with incompetent managers feel free to sign your soul to the devil and live here. but heed the warning.
I recently moved into Cheyenne Crest apartments about a month ago and have lived all over the United States due to being in the Navy. Yes, there is Navy personnel in Colorado Springs lol. I was blown away by how professional the staff members were when I walked into their office. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and made me feel welcome. That speaks volumes when there are properties out there where the staff is rude and the facility is rundown. I was impressed by how beautiful the apartments are and how respectful their staff is. I am recommending this facility to new personnel coming to Colorado Springs. This facility is close to Fort Carson and other establishments. I wanted to say thank you for making my move to Colorado an easier process and thanking me and other military members for our service. God bless :)
Cheyenne crest apparent a in Colorado Springs are the absolute worst! The pool/hot tub are always broken, vehicles get towed constantly without warning there is no 24 hour roaming security so the risk of a break in and theft are very likely the management staff is very poor and very rude!! I'd say the only positive thing to this place is the maintainer workers who seem to get the job done!!!
Office staff is great, hubby is military, so the fact the lease was able to be sighed online, through email, was really nice (especially when he was deployed and it was renewal time). Maintenance was quick (same day) to respond to work order and quick to fix the problem (leaky fridge and they had it replaced within a week). I don't hear my neighbors ever. We have a three year old and the downstairs neighbors said they have never heard him running around. The rooms and closets are really nice and big. My only complaint would be how small the kitchkitchen is.
