Property Ratings at Chez Paree Apartments and Townhomes
My experience here was horrific!!! Nothing absolutely nothing was ever fixed they look nothing like the pics they never ever ever answer the phone and the leasing door office is always LOCKED I could not see my apartment before move in because of Covid but when I got the keys and went in there I couldn’t believe my eyes I cried my apt was horrible there was two people outside smoking weed and then came in apt they said the unit was there’s I had to get the locks changed spiders Rollie pollies and NETS!! The sewers are all backed up my apt was INFESTED with NETS! The tub takes at least a hour to drain and whenever we took a bath or shower it leaked onto my living room floor!! My mailbox had no top all of my mail use to get wet when it rained my bathroom tub was disgusting never got resurfaced I signed the paperwork for it 5 times! My carpet was never cleaned at all my basement carpet was never cleaned and I was missing a few steps these my basement flooded and all of my kids clothes was destroyed insurance did nothing about it these are the worst apts in ST LOUIS!!!!! I am so glad I moved!!! You paid for it channel 2 news need to do a story on this apt complex
DO NOOOOT MOVE HERE. There is trash all around the complex definitely in the back where I live. Maintenance if very unorganized. It will take weeks for something to get fixed. Place doesn’t look anything like pictures, or the show room. They literally just paint over everything to make it look new, but after moving in you will notice peeling, and a lot of things chipping off. If you are young and don’t have credit yet and desperate then this is a easy place to get approved for. OTHERWISE GO ELSEWHERE. I really can not express enough of how unorganized and outdated these apartments are. They also charge about 100 extra for black appliances and well the only thing that’s newish is the stove the other black appliances look like sht.
Bug infested!!! Spiders (big spiders) , roaches, silver fish, all type of bugs. The leasing office never answers, apartments are raggedy, “look and lease” special is false, they show a completely different unit then if you lease the unit you get is not the same. The walls are thin, so not much privacy. Apartments are not worth the price. These should be in the hood some where.
I currently live at Chez Paree , the units are pretty spacious and I love the location, very close to the highway, plenty of parking. It's pretty dark at night, it seems there should be more street lights, but perhaps the trees need to be trimmed around the street lights to shed more light. After moving in I didn't realize how cheap the paint is on the walls that they use, there's a lot chippings and cracks from the paint. There are few spiders that I've seen but nothing a little bug spray can't take care of. I've had concerns with items to be fixed and replaced, yet nothing has been resolved. They are slow on responding and addressing your complaints. For the amount of rent, I expected more as they expect the rent to be paid and on time. (Disappointed Renter)
My experience has not been great over the last year. I was there more than 5 years and recently just got feedup. My town home has had several floods and back ups in the basement. The basement had a wet smell. They just paint over the wet walls when there’s a flood. Maintenance requests have been processed slowly or not at all. The community at Chez Paree is declining. Think before you rent here...
I've lived at Chez Paree almost a year. Overall the apartments are spacious and are in a great location on Lindbergh near everything. I like that maintenance come when they're requested and you will see them getting things done around the complex. My primary concern are roaches and spiders. I keep a cleanly home and was in complete dismay when I noticed baby roaches and several adult roaches. I've stocked up on Raid. It shouldn't be the tenants responsibility for pest control. Everyone does not live the same or keep their homes up as their neighbor and this is something all apartment communities should offer as a courtesy with the range of rent that is being paid.
I would never recommend these roach infected apartments to anybody! Never in my life have I had roaches in my house & never lived a lifestyle that would cause them to come. I've called the leasing office to have pest control spray 4 times. The third time I was told to tell management this entire building should be checked out. I called twice yet nothing else has been done. Other than that these are ok apartments but having roaches is just unacceptable & overlooks everything positive.
The property manager and maintenance crew are very friendly. The manager was very patient with walking us through the entire process of getting this place as it was our first time renting. The townhouse itself is very nice. There is new carpeting throughout,and we have the option to add brand new aplliances for only $25 extra a month. We have a washer/dryer hookup which is a was a huge plus, although we did have to get our own washer and dryer. Everything was very clean when we moved in and the manager even helped us to locate little problems ( such as a chip in the mirror in the bathroom) so that we will not be charged in the end for them. The complex is quiet. No complaints of our neighbors. There is a pool and gym that we have access to. There is no assigned parking but there is enough space to park that we have not had any problems so far parking in front of our townhouse ( and we have 3 cars ). Price is very reasonable compared to other places in the area. $913 a month including sewage and water and 2 pets (20 per month per pet). That is for a 1400 sq ft townhouse with a finished basement. Only about 150 more a month than apartments in the area that were about 800 sq ft. There are some little things that kind of aggravated me when i noticed them ( after we moved in of course), such as paint flecks all over the kitchen counters (those were easily scrubbed away) and the way that the cable hookups are set up throughout the house. The ones in the living room and smaller bedroom are set up in places where it just doesnt make sense to put a tv. So it was a bit of a hassle to run the wire accross the middle of the living room but we got a carpet to cover it up. Other than that no complaints really. Love our new place!!
