Property Ratings at Christiana Meadows
I've lived here for 2 years, and I'm overall satisfied with the experience. You can't hear neighbors through the walls, just through the front door. We had a water leak in our ceiling last year that was fixed right away - the maintenance people are friendly and prompt. They came once to blow out the laundry vent, and they replace the filters for the HVAC. I am not a fan of the traffic noise from Route 1, but you get used to it. Would recommend!
I stayed there for 5+ years and had good experience till I informed them that I need to vacate the apartment since my assignment has been cut short and I have to move back to my home country. 1. They took a lease break fee even though me having to vacate the apartment was not per my choice at all. 2. They charged me a ridiculous charge against damaging the kitchen countertop saying that there was some hardened glue drops because of which they have to replace the entire countertop. I send them move-out video which showed there was no such damage. Also, asked them to provide pictures against their claim. They refuse to share pictures and are forfeiting my entire security deposit. How can a damage of hardened glue drops (not caused by me) cost $1200? Even if there are hardened glue drops, doesn’t it cost some $10-$20 to get som chemicals from Home Depot to clean it? Since they have the control over the security deposit, they are misusing it to forfeit the same showing ridiculous reasons!

The lease break fee is charged for anyone that breaks a lease for any reason per the DE Landlord Tenant Code. Upon the move-out inspection the countertop damage was seen and the damage was not listed on the tenant's move-in inspection form, which then created the charge for replacement. The video only showed the kitchen from a distance and didn't show a close-up of the countertops. Our company policy is not to send pictures but I offered the tenant to stop by the rental office to view them.
If I could give this place a zero, I would. I stopped by the leasing office today in the hope that I could rent a one-bedroom apartment from them. There were two leasing consultants in the office. One of them was okay, but the other one was very rude and unprofessional. She acted as though she did not want to rent the place to me at all. When I asked to view the apartment and the clubhouse, they basically asked me to view them myself. Even though the clubhouse was 30 seconds walk to the leasing office, they were not willing to show it to me. I have never had such a poor experience during my apartment hunting process. Everywhere else I went, the leasing consultants were always friendly, and at least did not ask me to view the property myself. Also, when I asked if I could park my U-box in the parking lot for a day or so just so I can move my stuff to my apartment, without knowing what a U-box is, they said I cannot park it in the front, and I can only park it in the middle of the parking lot. How accommodating they are! I would have rented from them if the leasing consultants were not rude! Too bad! I don't do business with rude people!
The Leasing manager Allison is awesome. I went to her with an issue, even many years after we moved out and she still helped me. My issue was complicated and they could have easily refused, but Allison understood my problem and helped me. I am very grateful to her. We lived here a few years ago. The Apartments are great too.

Thank you! I do remember you and your issue. I am glad I was able to help!
I lived in CM's apartments for 10 years 2005-2015 and I had an okay experience. In 2009 I had very noisy neighbors on the 3rd floor above me, I made several complaints to the office, complaint after complaint. Needless to say I was told I could move to another apartment, so a year later I moved to another upgraded apartment and a 3rd floor unit. Never again will I live anywhere except the top floor of any apartments. So when I moved to the 2nd bldg in 2010 I absolutely loved it, I had decent neighbors and an overall better experience. I got all brand new appliances except the refrigerator which was okay. The maintenance staff is great and they are very prompt, the don't meddle in your things when your not home and I trusted them. The reason I moved from CM's was because the rent was getting too high for the same old thing. So I parted ways with them but if I could I'd love to move back it's a great place to live, quiet and very clean. The management is very nice and helpful.
We stayed there for almost 6 yrs and they charged us so high for carpet saying its oily and life span is 10 yrs which is no where like that in DE. Very rude property management, they just hung up the call.
I have currently lived in Christiana Meadows for two and a half years and I absolutely love the community. They allow dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes, where most apartment communities in the area only take small dogs. It's a gated community, with plenty of grassy areas, sidewalks and street lights for those night walks. Maintenance has always been very attentive, even on weekends. Every time I have called to place a maintenance request it was taken care of within a few hours. I have never explored the pool or the clubhouse, but if it's anything like the rest of the community, I am sure it is immaculate! I would highly recommend Christiana Meadows to anyone looking for a one or two bedroom apartment in the New Castle County Delaware area.
SUPER COOL THAT THE CLOSETS ARE LIKE BEDROOMS, AND THE LOCATION IS PERFECT! QUIET AND NICE! CONVENIENT TO THE MAJOR HIGHWAYS AND LOCAL SHOPPING CENTER! LOVE IT
Extremely quiet. Spacious apartments. Maintenance is quick to respond. Gated community. Love love love.
Current residence for 5 yrs and they have done lots of new changes, management and staff are very friendly. However this past year a lot has happened the first floor the building flooding and my car was hit in the lot at 7 am all though they have security its only the front gate no cameras any where else. maintenance gets around to the problems and most of the time it takes a week for problems to be fixed. The new prices are too high for what they are offering
Christiana Mdws has been home for five years and it is still a place I love calling home. The complex is always beautifully kept. The well manicured, dog friendly common areas are plenty. The pool, gym, and tennis court are welcoming. The apartments are spacious, mason constructed, (which means you don't worry as much with what your neighbors are doing), and a master bedroom that actually accommodates a king size bed. It's better than a house because the wonderful maintenance staff will fix or replace the appliances, we don't have to pay for basic cable, trash, water, sewage, property taxes, or security systems. It is all provided along with living in a gated community. We are within a few miles of the major roadways, the mall, hospital, and Del Park. I would and have recommended Christiana Mdws to anyone looking to move.
Christiana Meadows is a top notch apartment community. The property is beautifully landscaped and conveniently located near all major roadways such as I-95 and Rt 1. All of the units have a private entrance, they're spacious and pristinely maintained. Crime rate= 0%, Security= 24/7, Pool and fitness=100% My highest recommendation to those in search of a great place to live in the Bear/Newark DE area!!!
My time at Christiana Meadows has been absolutely amazing! I have been here for a five years and love it! The apartments are clean, renovated, and the property is well kept. Access to the pool, gym, and tennis courts provide a lot of entertainment and fun. I also love the fact that the complex has gated security. I highly recommend Christiana Meadows.
We have lived here for 3 months and we love it! The office staff is awesome and very friendly. Have had no issues for maintenance!
The apartment seems to be very old, though they have remodelled them but because of old walls. There are lot of bugs, spiders are there. I have to clean the webs almost every weekend. There are small bugs here and there. I don't feel safe for my baby. The counter tops are so old and eaten by termite. The small bugs spoil my food. I will move out as soon as my lease will expire. I have to clean my cabinets and drowers very frequently. I have to say that the aprtment is not worth the rent. Moreover, they increase the rent every year with lease renewal. :(
The area is good. incentive for seniors poor for senior you must be 65, seniors start at 6o year or 61years not good for me but the place is gorgenous
