Located in Downtown Seattle, First Hill is the city’s first neighborhood. The historic neighborhood is also known as “Pill Hill” for its abundance of medical and research institutions, such as Swedish Hospital and Virginia Mason Medical Center. First Hill is also home to Seattle University and the famed Frye Art Museum. Defined by steep hills, First Hills juxtaposes the old and new with historic brick apartment buildings, modern high-rise apartments, and charming houses. First Hill is extremely walkable and there are a variety of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood for residents to enjoy. Living in First Hill also places resident minutes from some of the city’s most popular hotspots like Capitol Hill, the International District, and Lower Queen Anne, home of the iconic Space Needle. First Hill has several rail stations and Interstate 5 runs on the western edge of the neighborhood making traveling through downtown easy.

Property Ratings at Cielo
Google Cielo, Yelp Cielo and you’ll find the real truth. The building is nice on the surface but is plagued with issues, the biggest being the property management. Avoid at all cost.
I recommend it to everyone. If you looking for a great place to live Cielo is the best place.
I have loved living at Cielo, it is a great community with great staff and management.
Great location, friendly staff, excellent amenities
Beautiful building, great location and terrific staff. Definitely you get value for your money at Cielo!
A beautiful building with a friendly and responsive staff. Superb location between downtown and First Hill. I have lived in the building for five years and have never loved a place so much!
Cielo has been a great place to live with updated apartments, great amenities, and close to my work. I do have some noisy neighbors who have parties though (and concierge/Cielo management will not regulate this).
Perfect home to stay well maintained building.
Cielo is centrally located in North First hill, just a few minute walk from downtown and capitol hill. There is a great sense of community here without sacrificing privacy. Staff from management to concierge to maintenance are friendly and helpful. It's a joy to live here.
Leasing staff is ver nice and always quick to help with any issues. Maintenance has been very quick to attend to work orders, clean, and friendly.
Cielo is a fantastic community. The staff are wonderful, each and every one of them. The quality of the apartments are solid. If something breaks, they get right on it. It's a fantastic place to call home and I hope to stay here for a long time.
Nice place to live, recently added new amenities. Also this place is pet friendly.
Great place to live, lovely people to work with. Going to miss it.
Essential living in the heart of Seattle. Cielo is great for families and its staff truly maintains a high standard of living.
Good attention, hope still having it once I moved here. I have found a valuable space to live.
Quick communication (found and signed lease within a few days)! Easy online paperwork. All the amenities wanted were included at this community.
Poor management and dirty building. I’ve never ever seen a ‘luxury’ community with rats running in the garage entrance and moth flies in the room. My new BMW got hit and run and no camera is in the garage. Leasing staff who doesn't know the difference between "wire" and "paper & electronic"routing number gave wrong advice which results in decline of online payment and a $25 fine and late fee. The property manager refused to waive the late fee nor re-activate my online payment even though it was their mistake. I got declined twice so I have to write a check to pay for rent every month. Move in if you want to pay for others' mistakes.
This building has withstood so much when so many others have faltered during the pandemic. The building is beautiful, modern, and still stylish. The management team/concierge always been stellar and reliable. Highly recommend this building.
I have really enjoyed living at Cielo! I had read some negative reviews online before I moved in and was nervous about living there. However, my experience at Cielo has been great and every day I think how happy I am with my home. Erik and Carol and concierge are great, the building is clean and quiet, and location couldn't be better for getting to my office downtown and walking to bars/restaurants. I hope I don't get priced out of the building!!!
I have lived in Cielo for around 3 years and I am happy with my choice. The friendly staff, management, location/neighborhood, reasonable rent prices, quick responses to maintenance requests, amenities, cleanliness are the main reasons to recommend Cielo to the others. There is only one downside and it is the noise from the highway that affects the units facing highway, however it does not bother me much.
The staff was very attentive and helpful to our needs. The building is newly renovated and in a great neighborhood, which makes it extremely convenient. Not to mention the top notch amenities like the 31st floor gym and rooftop really make this property stand out.
Overall painless leasing experience, competitive rates for the area, excellent amenities, leasing and concierge staff that know the residents
Excellent concierge staff. Engaged and responsive leasing agents.
Love living at Cielo. Convenient to work at VM and can walk to Downtown and Capitol shill restaurants, shops and activities. The building and apartments are beautifully kept and security is top notch. Love the staff, they go above and beyond to accommodate and make you feel at home. (Convenience store attached is amazing too, great wine/beer selection, cheeses, fresh produce, nice little market with reasonable prices!)
Good apartment.
Leasing team was very helpful!
Nice apartments with reasonable rent price. Beautiful community and professional staffs.
The staff here is absolutely wonderful!
Beautiful building, prime location, fairly priced, the gym is stunning, and the staff are always genuinely kind and friendly .
Best leasing, best front desk, and best maintenance and service teams
Great staff and wonderful amenities
Very attentive and helpful concierge. Great tight knit community. Great location to go anywhere in the city
Love Cielo. Robert, Joseph and Trisha were so helpful with my lease and move in process. Eric, is wonderful as the Resident Support/Concierge. The community is spotless and secure. I am very happy in my new apartment home.
Great building, great staff, luxuriously comfy & cozy. Love it here.
Nice building, I like my unit, the sound insulation is nice and very much appreciated. The staff do a good job and I'll continue to rent here as long as I can afford it.
Awesome place to live. The managements are great. Living in my dream
Everybody from top management to custodial staff are Cielo?s best! Like family!

Outstanding staff!
Great apartment with great views
A great place to live.
Friendly staff, great views, beautiful amenities
This place really is just so great. The energy is wonderful and the building is so chic.
So far, great experience. I'm glad I chose Cielo
I love living at Cielo. The apartment has a nice layout with great features, there are fantastic amenities, and the staff is the best.
My commute was killing me, so I moved into Cielo so I could walk to work downtown. Five stars for location! Regarding noise, it's pretty quiet, so that's good. I wouldn't say it's too quiet though as Capitol Hill's close by and great for nightlife. Most of the residents here seem pretty laid back and I've made some friends here. I've got no complaints about the staff nor my unit. My lease expires soon and I'll definitely be staying!
I've lived here for almost 2 years now (moved in about 3 months after the building opened), so I figured it was probably time for me to write a review! Overall, I have to say this is the best apartment in the downtown area of Seattle, hands down. My fiance and I toured countless apartments before finding Cielo and none of them came even close to the level of quality that Cielo provides. The building is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Incredible amenities that are very underused (which is great for us!) We pretty much have the game room, yoga room, office, gym, etc. to ourselves anytime we use them. The apartments are beautiful - giant windows, stunning kitchens with granite counter tops, huge bathroom, large closets, washer & dryer in the units, air conditioning, etc. The rooftop is incredible. Good luck finding a gym on the 31st floor of a building with 180 degree views of Mt. Rainier & Elliott Bay anywhere else - it is unbelievable. The rest of the rooftop is beautiful with wraparound windows, awesome kitchen area for entertaining, fireplace, TVs, beautiful deck with huge grills, etc. I adore this rooftop area! Everything about living here is extremely convenient. Super short walk to Capitol Hill & downtown, 24-hour concierge who will literally help with anything you ask, market & deli attached to the building, secure underground parking, and they just added guest parking for MUCH cheaper than anywhere else nearby. Anytime we have a service request, it is completed within 24 hours. Dry-cleaning and package drop off & pick up at the front desk (that the concierge will hold in a locked room for you until you're able to pick it up). The staff is unbeatable, at every level. From John & Chea in the leasing office, to Ashley at the front desk, to Brent & Marta in the service staff, everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and honest. I was a little concerned early on with turnover of some great staff members, but the group working now is by far the best. Although I love the building itself, the staff is ultimately what keeps me here and I could not be happier with the current employees!! I honestly could go on and on about how great this place is. Cielo is a hidden gem and I am absolutely thrilled to be living here. Some of the reviews complain about trivial things that you'd experience at ANY apartment (especially in the first month or so - moving is HARD!), but I can guarantee that the good outweighs the bad, BY FAR. This place is the best :)
One of our elevators has been broken for 6 weeks now, and the staff could care less. They literally roll their eyes at you. We're down to two elevators for 31 floors (if someone is using one of them to move in or out, it's one elevator for the 31 floor building). We wait half an hour to get to our apartments or down to the main floor. There are break-in's in the garage, and homeless surround the area. What a nightmare.
DO not live here unless you want to constantly worry about someone breaking into the garage. It allows access to the transients that live outside. We had 4K worth of damage to our brand new car because there is no active security for the building. Simply a concierge that can only monitor the cameras a few minutes a day. All of the bikes were stolen out of a secured parking locker and just this week several cars were vandalized by a transient, including ours. The management does not take any responsibility and thinks they are doing a great job. Save your money and live elsewhere. Otherwise you will always be looking over your shoulder when you park here and wonder if your car is being broken into as we now do.
The building is brand new, with an amazing set of amenities that are mostly top notch, but not everything is as perfect as it could be, especially for the prices being charged. While the building has impressive modern features like built-in high-efficiency AC, it lacks some things that make the difference between great, and just OK. The level of sound isolation is severely lacking, and was a surprising disappointment, given the concrete construction. The building has an unusual "smart" elevator system that often ends up leaving people waiting in frustration, with no indication if they've correctly called an elevator or not. Depending on the unit you get, you can end up with a very nice walk-in closet. The fitness center on the top floor has an amazing view of Mt Rainier. There are several semi-private meeting rooms that can be reserved for entertaining. The building offers multiple true high-speed internet options, with actual fibre connections and pre-wired network ports in the walls. There is a 24-hour concierge who can accept packages, and is available to help you retrieve them at any hour.
