Majestic oak trees and large homes perched along hilly, winding roads define the Overton neighborhood. This picturesque community is located about 14 miles southwest of Downtown Mobile. Overton is especially convenient for those interested in living near the University of South Alabama, located just four miles northeast, or the Mobile Regional Airport, four miles northwest. Cottage Hill Park sits immediately east of town and offers ball fields, a walking path, and picnic areas. Shops and restaurants are available on the two western edges of town. For more shopping and dining options, locals can head northeast to the Shoppes at Bel Air in Brookwood.

Property Ratings at Cimarron Ridge
If I could give ZERO stars I would. The apartments are FULL OF MOLD- Coming from the walls- the air conditioner, the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are wood-rotten and full of fungus. You pay rent but they have some kind of dirty contract with a tow-company and no one’s car is safe! I have 2 friends that have had their vehicle towed and one that had a visitor’s pass! The management doesn’t care to do anything about anything- the only time they get involved is if it involves drama due to their own cattiness. Do yourself a favor and DONT MOVE HERE
The response to your needs are NOT addressed in a timely manner if at all. You are lied to and said that things are being handled and they never are. I have lived here several years and it has gotten worse. Will be moving as soon as I can without causing harm to my family and our finances. I am beyond disappointed with the lack of common courtesy.
I lived here for several years, and I’m not sure why I stayed so long. Maintenance is a joke. The office is terrible. You can expect your air conditioning to go out at least six or seven times during the summer. Along with an appliance or two, as well. And you can also expect to wait 1 to 3 months to have repairs done. And don’t bother calling them on the weekend, they will not come out. Whoever paints these apartments, does a crap job and leaves speckles of paint all over the floor and appliances. I moved into an apartment with stained carpets, and the carpet was actually coming up in one place in the living room. At one point, I had my toilet, shower and sink all go out in the same day and flooded my floor. It took them 2 weeks to come out and fix it, since I had a two bedroom, it was not a priority for them. This place used to be nice a few years ago, but has gone to crap. I really hate that too, because we me and my family moved in, we were very happy and comfortable. It is just not the same anymore. Do not move here, you will regret it.
I lived here 13 years ago (8 years in about four different apartments) I loved it then and I thought it would be the same. NOT!!! The landscape is the ONLY THING THAT REMAINED THE SAME. Before I moved in I asked the apartment rep did they have issues as far as rodents, roaches, bugs. She told me no. They had an entire month to get the apartment ready that was assigned to me. I had a walk through weeks before I moved in and it was in bad shape to be rented. I was told the issues would be repaired before I moved in. Came back two weeks later and it was still not repaired. I took pictures of everything. And the manager said email it to her. She should know what her apartment looks like that she’s renting. But assured me it would be repaired before I moved in a week later. They had dead roaches on the floor and in the kitchen light fixture. Chewed corners in the kitchen on the cabinets the master bathroom had a rodent chewed hole (but said a dog did it) but didn’t repair it before I moved in. The plumbing had opened areas behind the toilet. I was so scared!!! I stayed there two nights and left to stay back at another place til I could get my things out of there. The apartment reek the smell of cigarette smoke and weed. Termites were inside flying around. The bathtubs had been painted over chip marks. I reported all of these issues and the apartment manager said she’d send someone out and they never came. I never cooked inside the place because of fear of roaches. And somehow they still got inside of my unpacked boxes! This is the nastiest apartment I’ve ever seen. I cannot believe they let these apartments go down like this. 9 days of hell! I hope they can make this right with me. Because this is unacceptable!

My husband and I moved into this apartment in April 2014. We had just gotten married and this is our first home. I had never lived far from home but we moved over 4 hours away from my family. This apartment has made me feel safe, because it is gated and the neighbors are very welcoming and friendly. Since we moved in when have had just a few issues, for example when the pipes burst in front of our building. The office management and the maintenance team took great care in fixing the issue in a timely manner and for that we are grateful. Since we moved in we have also referred several families to the apartments as well. I am so happy with our choice of home to begin our lives together in.

Thank you so much for the positive review! We are so glad that you chose Cimarron Ridge Apartments, when choosing your first home! -Kayla Quint Property Manager
Cimarron Ridge is a quiet community, and has served me well in college. It is conveniently located, gated, and there are several police who live here. I feel safe here, and that was very important to me when choosing an apartment. My complaint, however, are that all my appliances are from 1985. That's not an exaggeration. They suck up power like nobody's business. I'm glad I chose to live here but I wish the power bill wasn't so high for a one bedroom apartment.
Property Manager at Cimarron Ridge, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the feedback! I am so sorry you experienced a high power bill in your apartment. Anytime you have issues like this, please let the office know and we will be happy to send maintenance in to check and see if there is something we can do to lower your power bill or if there is something we need to replace in your apartment. Please call the office if there is anything we can do to assist with this issue at 251-633-2233. Thank you for choosing Cimarron Ridge Apartments as your home! :) -Kayla Quint Property Manager
