Living in the neighborhood surrounding the Citadel mall puts you in the heart of Colorado Springs’ premiere shopping destination. The mall itself is home to over 120 stores and restaurants, plus the additional shops, restaurants, and movie theater at Citadel Crossing right across Academy Boulevard, all just steps outside your front door.
When you want to get some fresh air, you’ll also be just minutes away from scores of public greenspaces and golf courses, including the massive trail network of Palmer Park to the north and the links at Valley Hi Golf Course to the south. The neighborhood is also centrally located between Downtown, Peterson Air Force Base, and Colorado Springs Airport, allowing you to reach some of the city’s most popular amenities with ease.

Property Ratings at Citadel Village Apartments
The water has been out every two weeks for two years straight in my building. The box that allows you to let people in the building from your apartment has been broken for two years, and I have to go and pick up all of my packages at gas stations or post offices, because the building buzzer does not work. They refuse to use pet friendly salt during the winter for the sidewalks. My dog has burns on her paws every-time we go on a walk in the winter. The list goes on and on..... Thanks
You will regret moving here. They bait and switch you with the units, if they show you a unit at all. They will tow your vehicle if it has a flat, hasn't moved, expired tags, or if you have a guest over and their vehicle isnt registered in the office. If you get a rodent or bug problem ( chances are there already is) they will tell you it's not their fault or their problem, and it's not a health risk. Maintenance takes a month or more to show up, then they do the worst and cheapest job, which fails pretty quick. Management is snobby, you will usually only be able to talk to the secretary, the manager is always too busy to be bothered. The water bill doubles sometimes triples during summer because of the pool and watering all the dirt that used to be grass, not to mention the dog poop and cigarette butts that are everywhere. The area is okay during the day but at night its completely different, the bus station and mall bring a bad crowd. There's shootings at the mall every three months lately.
Little to no notification system they just drop a note on your door and run Didt notice I paid a dollar over till I said something The water and electricity bill just dosent make sense ital be 80 then it will be 130 Good luck getting them to fix anything in a timely manner as well Outdated apt for the price way nicer apts in town were the ac actually works They recently had the roof done, which was amazing if you want guys standing around looking at you like you don’t belong or blocking parking with their truck just cause and the apt complex does nothing so cool And two months from the end of my lease they say your dog is out of reg even though I’ve lived here for 2.5yrs And the security nonexistent either have own protection or call the police ????? Oh yah and they are not even on the office half the time and good luck getting them on sat when working ppl are home. No accountability no customer service no sense of management
What's the worst? Rodents from neighbors in the walls. Squirrels falling down the chimney. Management refused to help via wildlife or pest control. Constantly changing how we could pay (one month online. Next by money order only...) and ever changing management. Refusal of last payment. They are trying to charge me still for the few days of the month before I moved out(as agreed in writing) but for a whole month instead. They refused my payment so unless forced to it's their problem now.
Pretty central to everything in Colorado Springs, Citadel Village is close to Shopping, public transit lines and, food. The apartments are old but nice, work orders are taken care of quickly, and the new management staff is always friendly.
