Arcadia is a former citrus orchard that has been recognized by Money magazine as the “Best Place to Live.” Today in this predominantly residential community, you can still see traces of standing orange and grapefruit trees alongside roads and in the plush landscaping.
This neighborhood is attractive to renters because of its beauty, great location, and excellent schools. Its culture, cool restaurants with astounding food, and walkability helps, too. A very large cycling presence can be found at the Arizona Canal. Though, if hiking is more your speed, Camelback Mountain is close by.
Scottsdale Fashion Square and Biltmore Fashion Park are just a short distance away from the luxurious Royal Palms Resort & Spa. Foodies enjoy the delectable offerings at the Henry, Mastro’s City Hall, Buck & Rider, and a number of fast-casual eateries.

Property Ratings at Citrine
I'm really surprised that a community of this size isn't more closely monitored by management, and that we don't receive regular communication besides announcements of office hours/closures and food trucks. I have had to call the security vendor numerous times for after hours noise. I live on the lap pool and it's party time on the weekends during the summer with loud, drunk people and music. As well, the apartments themselves are poorly constructed and you can hear neighbors having basic conversations, open and closing doors, drawers, flushing toilets, etc. A very noisy living environment, particularly in my location.
I have never lived in such an amazing apartment complex/neighborhood. My friend actually just moved in after touring because she loved it just as much as I do!
I have always thought the maintenance crew and office staff are incredible at this community. Five star all the way! Their kindness stands out above all others.
I loved living at Citrine but I am disappointed about the increase in rent. I had lived there for almost 3 years and felt like in the end the company would rather have me leave than try to work out a new lease agreement.
You cannot beat the location & I Iove my floorplan! I would just warn them about the cleanliness and poor condition of some of the amenities.
I do really like the idea of this building, however there are a lot of little problems like.....neighbors smoking pot on their balconies, smoking pot in apts, smoking in the park, very dirty stairwells and common areas that new residents dont really see, broken entrance doors and a lot of stories of theft from the parking garage.
I would, but I have not heard from the office about my request to replace this washer for days now.
The interior finishings are outdated. Hallways are dark. Hard to compete with the new communities going in without addressing this.
My husband and I moved into The Citrine about a month ago. The staff does a great job in keeping the property looking pristine. We see the janitorial team cleaning the amenity spaces daily and they even vacuum the hallways on a frequent basis. There is also a pool technician that comes almost every day for cleaning and upkeep. Lynn (Leasing Consultant) was super helpful during the process of our applying and moving into our unit. Jose (Community Manager) is always warm and personable. Carlos and his teammate (Engineering) address any work orders at lightning speed and they are super nice. Everyone else we have encountered have been great (cannot recall remaining names). The residents - so far everyone we have met have been super friendly and respectful. I am a super light sleeper and have not had any issues with noise. Although a few of us may have a good time at the pool during the day, those that go to the pool in the evening are considerate to our neighbors with noise levels. The location is perfect - The Citrine is in the middle of it all! When reading any negative reviews, please note that many more people complain then those who set time aside to say something nice. Perhaps there was sub-par management a few years back. My husband and I are very happy here and proud to call The Citrine home! Emily
Very nice place in a prime location with good amenities. I understand that part of the marketing is to pet (i.e. dog) owners, and I realize it might be difficult to "marshal" this, but there were many dog owners in the complex that were irresponsible/inexperienced dog owners (dogs off leash, owners not cleaning up pet waste, etc.), and that diminished my living experience. Also lacked solid enforcement of trash/recycling policies. Also didn't understand why the pool nearest the dog run didn't have a hot tub, and wasn't heated in the winter.
Anytime I have an issue in my apartment, Carlos is right on it and very helpful, he always fixes the issue on the spot or follows up to fix it. He is very friendly and does a great job, I think this is very important in an apartment complex.
Excellent work, all the way around
The only thing I say negatively about the building is that the carpets are very dirty in the hallways.
Love community and the people in leasing office are always helpful and friendly. Would like to see wallpaper that' curling up on the wall in the mail office fixed. Does represent this property.
This is a great community! Very friendly staff and residents. The amenities are outstanding.
Unit is extremely loud - you can hear everything from the upstairs tenants and all of the cars driving by all day and all night. Can't enjoy sitting on the patio. The dog park/green area is beautiful but so many people dont pick up after their dogs.
Location, amenities, floor plans, quality of Apts. Except builder should have placed better sound barrier between floors. You can really hear those above you.
yes
In a very beautiful area, everyone at the leasing office was extremely nice. Love the gated garage and the amenities around the complex. Very beautiful complex.
Great location, decent property, and for the most part nice tennant's. Overall not very satisfied with management and office personnel.
I feel safe in this apartment community and any questions I have had have been answered in a timely manner. Lynn has been amazing!
The community is beautifully maintained and features tons of great amenities I would use on a daily basis. I especially love the dog park and rooftop terrace, with the awesome gym and view!
I enjoy living here! I recommend it for the cleanliness, safety/security, views/location and amenities (specifically the clubhouse areas for working and meeting).
There are lots of things about Citrine that I find positive.
Little things like not having cups when you go and get coffee and the hallways staying dirty.
Great apartment. Clean and always up kept. Common areas are very nice and the aren't overly crowded
Staff is friendly and expedient. Only issue is the hot water not working appropriately. Other than that, great service!
Aside from the way we were treated at move-out, I enjoyed living in this community. It was safe, clean and beautiful.
Clean, quiet and a friendly group of people and dogs.
Would recommend because of the location and diverse amenities (two pools); would not recommend because of the price point for a no-longer-new complex, as well as the lack of a sense of community and the scarcity of resident socials or community-building events.
The apartments are pretty nice. I am considering moving here to be close to my family. The downside is the available ground level unit patio is useless due to overgrown vegetation. The available 3rd floor unit has a large tree blocking the pool view. I would recommend some serious vegetation trimming. I think finding the right unit is the trick.
I had 3 service request. They were all completed to the fullest. My Closet door handle was definitely attached most properly. My light bulbs were absolutely swapped with ones that obviously work. Lastly, and dare I say most importantly, my fridge filter could not have been more replaced. 10/10 would def sunlit more maintenance requests. I love you
Very efficient in the service I was provided. Thank you. I would definitely recommend this apartment based on this service I received.
the community is amazing and professional staff apartments are well done to fit everyone's life style
The dog park has had grass in it a total of 1 month out of the 12 we have lived here. The property managers cannot give a straight answer on when there will be grass or why there is not grass. It seems to be a drainage issue due to poor construction, but it’s frustrating that they advertise a lush, green dog park when in reality it is nothing but sandy dirt.
Property Manager at Citrine, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We removed the grass in the dog park to make the space more desirable for our dogs. Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss further 602.840.3111.
I would definitely recommend this apartment community. Service was quick to respond and fixed all major issues. My only reasoning for neutral answers is that one item in my service request did not get fixed. There is a cable stuck on one of my outlets... but it looks like it's still stuck even though is was said that it was fixed. (it's kind of a hidden outlet, so I understand the confusion).
The apartment as a whole is wonderful. We love staying here. Only reason I didn't list my recommendation at a "10" is the price increase Citrine is going through.
Great people, great atmosphere, very peaceful here, such a good location and never have any issues
Because of the dirty stairwells that I've requested a few times to be cleaned on the third floor heading into my apartment floor. It is very unappetizing and dirty. Not acceptable to walk through day in and day out. Also, a lot of urine smell when you walk to the outside from the pets that must be urinating by the back pool area.
There really is no sense of community there's a lot involved when you talk about community and this place is lacking a sense of community there are no events nothing put together to bring people together to get to know each other that's lacking big-time so this is just a place to call home but there is no community here.
I feel the place is overpriced. The lack of detail to paperwork in the office is very frustrating.
The only big complaint I have is that they do not clean the stairs to parking garage. The mirrors and windows in gym could be kept cleaner - especially when there is such a beautiful view.
The community is outstanding. I loved the roof top arrangement.
Maintainance department is good at taking care of my things after I arrived. My feedback is that apartments should be given with good inspection before the new renter comes. I have many things that were out of place as missing refrigerator cabinets, broken cabinets, missing kitchen, and bathroom drawers. Head shower old rusty and not working well. Some things I will get them and have maintenance kindly help me. I know all this will be fixed soon.
Parking garage that could possibly match your floor number is biggest plus. Balcony was quite large. Community spaces were very very nice. Location is a 10.
I would recommend for location and amenities. I would not recommend because of overall cleanliness, noise between apartments, inconsideration between residents - we had several near miss accidents in the garage (because some people choose to use it as a raceway rather than take things slowly), poor apartment ventilation and condition of the apartment. Also the fitness amenities such as inablilty to use the lap pool during the winter months is a huge disappointment.
Submitted several service requests late Friday night; all requests were completed during the next business day on Monday. Every little detail was resolved and fixed in a timely manner, which exceeded my expectations! Great work by the maintenance team!
While the issue was only sort of resolved, I'm confident from the servixe I received that maintenance will be fast and responsive to any other inquiries I have
The leasing staff went above and beyond to help me find the right unit within the property to fit my needs, alleviate my concerns, and respond honestly and openly.
Excellent location, beautiful property, lots of floor plans to choose from, rent to value ratio is very good, friendly staff, safe parking area, high quality gym, a built in dog park.
