Property Ratings at Citrus Gardens
Apts aren't good for multiple reasons to many to list here you'll have to see for yourself. However the only plus is location but up to a certain point being that it's in a busy street it's very loud everyday parking is a nightmare for guest especially if it's a minor drop off there's no place to park my sister never visits me because she hates coming lol The floor plans are small closets aren't big bathrooms no space for anything making a list of pros and cons I'd say there's more negatives I can't really think of a positive thing to say about this place for what they charge in rents $$$ you can get better else where.
Rents are to high for what it really is. Very small kitchen space ideal for college students or non cooks who just order out everyday.
I toured the property yesterday but the unit I was interested in was not available to view since it is still occupied. The floor plan was confusing, even to our tour guide and no photos were available. The application is $45 but includes a $250 deposit charge that is non-refundable unless you sign the lease or cancel the application within 72 hours. Unfortunately I would not risk $250 for a unit I have not seen and would not be able to see until a month from now.
I've lived here with my roommate for the last 2.5 years (Fall 2018 to present) and, for the most part, this is a great place to live. The management is very helpful. Maintenance is usually pretty quick and always very polite. The main issue we've run into is sometimes a neighbor plays loud music or watches a movie turned up extremely loud and it echos through the courtyard so everyone can hear it (even when the windows are closed).
Terrible staff, also maintenance will never come until things is going bes and you have to call emergency.
I love living here!! I had just moved in on New Years Day and I’ve only noticed great things! First, the location is great! I love how it’s centered where the mall, Porto’s, DMV, post office, and more is just less than 10 min away! Every morning I walk and all I see are friendly people walking their dogs or taking their kids to school. It’s just such a nice area overall! On top of that, I feel like the office is SO RESPONSIVE. When I first moved in I had a couple issues with the heater and sink and so I put a work order in. NEXT DAY, someone comes in an gets it fixed immediately! So overall 5/5 stars!
This place is horrible. We have had nothing but issues since we moved in. Our room shares a wall with the laundry room and has been flooded 3 times. Twice within a month. Also had a rat infestation, used my bbq as a nesting site per the maintenance man, my plants were burned and my clothes were stolen from the laundry room. The management couldn't do anything unless I submitted a police report. However, there was a camera in the laundry room. I would not recommend this place to anyone. These are just the few issues we have had since living here for a year and a half.
I hope to be as objective as possible when writing this review. I lived here for about a year since last June. The price couldn't be beaten. I live in a 2 bed, 1.5 bathrooms and I can say that I feel comfortable and safe living here. It is gated community and so I don't really see who seem like strangers or homeless. You get one assigned parking space with some storage and additional parking is rated at ($55 a month). Laundry facility is maintained quite clean although machines fail on you time to time. Trash is hard to find on the community ground because there are men in blue shirts who maintain the community quite nicely. The best thing I like about the apartment building is how thick the wall is. And I tell you I lived in many apartments & houses, this has the thickest walls. My neighbors can get loud on the weekends. No worries. Once you close the front door, you'll notice near silence. It is great. I have to mention here though that I did not realize the fire station is literally around the corner. And yes, you will hear sirens daily. Well, it is much better than noisy neighbors, if you ask me. I can handle a few seconds of sirens. There are two pools, three laundry facilities, you pay most if not all utilities. Since the structure is based on community system, the meter will count all the water, sewage used and will divide that into the number of tenants. I have never heard of that but, I don't really complain because the fees are very low. Some units have dishwashers and some don't. (Mine doesn't but I don't use them). Location, location, location. The place is near everything. Shopping mall, post office, restaurants, Asian market, school, DMV!, gas station, medical centers, 24-hour fitness, fire station & police stations, and 10 freeway (HUGE PLUS). I wish I could give 5 stars, but since the new management since two months ago, they have increased the rent by 3 hundred dollars after a one-year lease. It is quite absurd and I am surprised to see that high of a jump. Nonetheless, the management just added a security guard at night and they continue to develop the area with renovations. One last thing. A few of the neighbors smoke marijuana. Some smoke cigarettes in the parking space. The management says they have a zero-tolerance policy against drugs. I think they have enforced the policy but some my neighbors still smell like it once I walk past them. So I give 4/5 stars. Jackie at apartment management is super nice.
