Property Ratings at CITRUS TOWER APARTMENTS
The apartments are clean, well maintained and have a comfortable layout. What by far makes this apartment community a 5 star rating is the staff! Both the maintenance staff and the office staff are so very helpful and friendly! If you have a question - they get you an answer! If you have a maintenance request - they come right away and fix whatever is wrong! It doesn’t matter whether it is a holiday, Sunday or an end of the day unexpected AC malfunction. The maintenance staff will quickly and diligently solve the problem. Our experience has been that the entire staff goes above and beyond for their community.
A black garden snake found its way into my porch. My children and I were very afraid. After calling animal control in a panic and hearing they don't remove snacks, I informed our awesome office staff. To my surprise, they responded "don't worry Jose will come by shortly". Sure enough, JOSE saved the day!!! He captured the snake like a professional and released it back into its rightful home. It totally made my children and I day. It's great to live somewhere with caring, responsive, and BRAVE staff members.
We moved here in July of 2021 and this place was fine at the beginning. However, in the last 6 months or so there has been a rapid decline. I will list them below. 1. Maintenance: Our dishwasher broke three times. Once when we had first moved in. The second time was in September of 2022. It got "fixed." And the third time, in October 2022. We put in a request for maintenance. I got a call about a week later from the leasing office (Beddie) telling me that they were ready to fix the dishwasher. I told Beddie that both my boyfriend and I work 8 am-5 pm, and we would rather not have them enter our apartment while we weren't home. She tells me maintenance only works until 5 pm. I ask if they can come Saturday. She tells me Saturday is only for emergency repairs. Well, what about Sunday? They're off on Sunday. So what are we supposed to do? 2. Our apartment is above a garage. The owner of this garage has a "sports" car and likes to idle the car while it is in the garage. This happens Mon-Fri at 5:30 AM and happens frequently in the evening and on weekends as well. This results in our apartment vibrating and the sound of the car engine buzzing through our walls. It also causes our place to smell like gas; the smell is so strong that twice now we have had to leave to let our apartment air out. We have contacted the leasing office about this car and the owner at least 5 times to which we are told they will speak to the owner. Finally, we decide to go into the leasing office to speak with someone, after the second time our apartment smelled like gas. We speak to Beddie who says this is the first she has ever heard of the incident. It may be the first time SHE has heard. Beddie knows the owners of the garage/sports car, and seems to be friends with them, she tells us how apologetic the owner is. It was not solved. 3. Courtesy officer: This ties in with the story above. There were many times when the car idling was happening on the weekends at night when the leasing office was closed. We called the CO many times and never got an answer. 4. Aggressive breeds: Our neighbor has an aggressive dog that lunges and barks at other people and their dogs. The dog has lunged and barked at our dog before when we opened our front door to walk our dog. If I see the dog being walked I will wait in my car or inside the apartment. There is a breed restriction. Not enforced. We will not be staying until the end of our lease and have already started moving out. Do not recommend.
I have been here 1 month and I can only give 2 stars because of the lack of parking. I feel like a prisoner in my apartment. You get 1 parking spot and then told to find an open spot....even though there are NO spots! Management tells people to keep your 1 assigned spot open (since you are guaranteed that spot) but for your 2nd car to park in reserved but if everyone is doing that, there are no reserved spots then and the visitor spots are always taken, some by apartment sticker cars or work trucks. I have asked a few times, what happens if there are 0 spots when we come home, where are we supposed to park and I have yet to receive a response. We now have to play car swap when my husband is at work and drive him back to work during his lunch and pick him up at night if I want to go somewhere just so 1 of our cars is in a reserved spot. It blows my mind that you pay this much for your apartment and you have to worry if you leave where you are going to park when you come back and if you want to have someone over, good luck with them finding someplace to park for a few hours. Either give people 2 designated guaranteed spots or have MORE THAN ENOUGH parking spots for tenants/visitors, not LESS! This will make me not want to stay here for longer than a year, it's not fair and is VERY upsetting.

DO NOT SIGN ANY LEASE!!!!, since I moved into this community i've been told LIES! first they tell me that there is a move in ready apartment, and that I would have 2 parking spaces... before paying security deposit and moving, I was not told about about my change apartment of apartment per contract, they did not inform me ahead of time for this, then last minute they tell me that i do not have the same apartment number, so I had to go through contract again and different move in date which is unfair and a waist of time. so i let it go, thought positively, but then when I move in they only tell me that I have only 1 designated parking spot, but that we are allowed to park in parkings that is faraway from my apartment and sometimes there are no parking then i have to park at my work place and I have to get uber to come home. And in my Apartment washer didn't work from first day. i complain by call and email even voicemail to office as well management company and they never reply to me back. so it's really frustrating for us. it's worth it if i don't need to pay rent. but their rent is too much too. BETTER FIND SOME OTHER PLACE TO LEAVE.

I have been a resident at Citrus Tower Apartment Homes for almost 6 months now and in my opinion I believe it qualifies me to give a well thought out review. I am giving a 2 star review just because I have more cons than pros. When I first came to Citrus Tower I thought this was a great place to live. It soon changed as the days and months went by. They advertise as new renovated apartments, yes they are renovated but with very cheap materials. On top of that it seems like the work was rushed so the finishes look sloppy. Also, about half of my wall outlets do not work and the garbage disposal switch let out sparks once so it seems to me that the electrical work was also rushed and it is a fire hazard waiting to happen. Another thing that I don’t like is how cheap the pain on the walls are. There was dirt on the wall so I got a paper towel with just water and when I went to wipe the dirt off, the paint started to come off. I’m guessing on the rush of finishing the work, they forgot to prime the walls. The “wood” floors look like they are stickers. If you like your sleep and peace forget about that here. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything! Especially if you live on a downstairs unit and you have noisy upstairs neighbors. It always sounds like they are dropping bowling balls onto the floor and it is a constant banging that will rattle your head. The first time I complained to the property manager about this, she simply said that she is working on it but it seemed like she was not and like she did not care about my situation. She was only there to sit at her office and get a pay check. The management team only cares if you are a new tenant, once you have moved in they really do not pay attention to you. There has been multiple times where I have walked in and they are all on their phones until I say something to get there attention. The property manger rudely dismissed me once for looking for coffee cup lids. Now for the pros, I do like the pool area and the BarBQ area. My family came to visit once and we had a fun time by the pool and the grill. I like the he gym, they keep it clean and tidy. I have used the cyber cafe to print a few things. I love how they are dog friendly and have dog areas around the community. The only one from the management office who has always greeted me or anyone as they walk in and had been extremely helpful had been Amanda. I hope that this review helps on your apartment search.

Hi, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Citrus Tower!
They don't care if you work night shift and they decide to install carpet at 11am... Very rude...
This apartment complex is a perfect example of a place designed to make as much money as possible per square footage. There is not enough parking and not enough dumpsters to support the population of residents living here. Positives: - nice walk in closet - nice large bath tub - nice landscaping Negatives: - not enough parking - one space per unit and then scrambling to find reserved/visitor spots - no dumpsters within walking distance - they scam you into paying a $25 service fee for an old woman to come by and pick up trash at night to take to the ONE compactor for 36 buildings - I wish health services would look into this because on days that they "forget" this place is disgusting - people leaving trash out because this company thought it was a great idea to have another company in charge of picking up trash because they don't want people to "forget to dump out trash and make community dirty" (as told to me by staff here) but then the company doesn't pick up the trash for 2-3 days a week - making the whole argument inconceivable. - toilet tank insides - flapper and valve are fully molded and rusted - bad customer service and calls about leaving a clean trash can outside on days that the trash company doesn't come. - very thin walls/ceiling - you can hear everything upstairs if you are on first floor. - very old appliances - microwave is from 2000, for example. - very overpriced for middle of nowhere Clermont - I would not recommend living here and am happy I am only staying here temporarily.

The units are very expensive and small. Management make sudden decision without giving residents enough time to make the necessary preparation. They just don't care.

Turnover in the leasing department is crazy. Every other month there seems to be new leasing staff. Been here for three years and none of the original staff that got our apartment work in the leasing department.

The pool is pretty awesome and there is a lot of space to have a BBQ. The exercise room however sucks and most of time the equipment is broken or out of order.

This apartment complex is crazy expensive. I have never had a problem with management however the prices are an injustice! They are tiny. My closet is a joke and I live in a 1/1 unit with very little wardrobe. I can barely shut my closet doors. The washer and dryer in the unit are also very small in size though they are stackables. I have to do many loads because of it. I will not be renewing my lease to say the least. Parking is also a nightmare and a half. Visitors are always taken especially by the residents themselves. The rent is almost $900.00! The value of the apartments are just not worth the asking price. I will be looking elsewhere next time.
I recently went by to get information on an apartment, from the moment I walked in I was sold. The apartments are beautiful, the area very clean, the staff professional and understanding love it can't wait to hear back on my application. Considering the prices of the other communities in the area this one had everything I was looking for less than the competition.

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
My husband and I have lived here for seven months, our is apartment is beautiful....the office staff have always have always gone out of their way for us. We woke up Sunday morning (father's day), with the air conditioning broken, we called the emergency number, two hours later Juan from maintenance was knocking on our door to tell us he had already fixed it.. Really thought we'd have to wait all day...
