Carla and Alyssa have been so nice to me, and the maintenance team is so fast and nice and do a good job! Char the manager however has hardly done a single thing for me, blamed a homeless person for stealing my kayak, hasn’t shared concern or given me any breaks for having a unlivable apartment for two months so far in my lease.
Beautiful amenities and great location. Good price for the area and how large the apartments are. Only complaint is leasing agents lacking knowledge on floor plans. One of our bedrooms doesn’t have a door, even though we were told there would be a door before we moved in. I know the agents work hard and stay busy, but missing key information can be misleading and frustrating.

I chose this place because it included washer and dryer in each unit, hardwood floors (a necessity for me to have a pet), and modern amenities in an environment where the noise level has honestly not been an issue. Even though it’s located next to train tracks, and I’m a light sleeper in general, I haven’t had any issues with getting quality sleep here.

Overall, I moved less than a month ago and everything is as expected. The community feel safe, the maintenance team is always available, the leasing team is very supporting. It is quiet during the day and the night, there are not noises or problems. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.

This is not a good place to live. I have had 17 maintenance cases and one is still unresolved. My unit was given to me with hot water turned off and a broken toilet. It supposedly passed inspection for make ready.

Living at City Gate has been an awful experience. Communication with management is poor, the apartment complex itself is in poor shape, and things we pay for, we do not even receive. It should not take over 100 hours to respond to emergency maintenance for an uninhabitable apartment. I’m beyond disappointed.

If you want to live here you must get a top floor unit. I hear the footsteps of the people above me every second. They have woken me up at 6am everyday since I moved in. I hear every single noise they make. The footsteps sound like earthquakes. I hear the people walking down the hall the floor above me it’s so loud. Their steps shake my wall it’s so loud. Moral of the story this place was built like cardboard. it’s extremely poorly built. I’ve lived in worse apartments than this that were built better, but this is on another level. The constant circus of sounds is exhausting especially because this place is so expensive. I’m highly looking forward to moving out soon. If you want any sort of peace and quiet I would avoid this place.

This place is in disrepair. There is no security. Many neighbors have had their car's broken into. We have reported the broken gates to management numerous times, with no fix. For an apartment right next to a homeless shelter, I can't believe management takes security as a joke. Spare yourself a burglarized car and move elsewhere. There are better and newer apartments up the street for less.
I've been living at City Gate for over a year. The location is great and the team is wonderful to work with. Management is always quick to help get any issues resolved. They always have fun happy hours, breakfasts, and get-togethers, which is wonderful and you can get to know your neighbors. The pool is beautiful, the hot tub is open year-round, and the gym is a good size. The gym does get a little toasty in the summer, but that's something they're aware of and looking for more options. They also have 3 other courtyards with grills, comfy seats, cornhole, firepits, and nice open areas. The building is gated, which makes me feel safe. I'm in one of the concrete apartments and I love it! It's super open, very lofty feel. The hallways can get a little loud, and parking late at night will end up on an upper level, but overall I love it here.

Just moved here and landed at City Gate. The people at the front desk are really great, nice to talk to, understanding and willing to work with you in your daily apartment living situations. In addition the on-site maintenance is great and attentive. There's a lot of amenities, bbq's seems like everywhere, patio funiture, heated pool/spa, ski/snowboard room, concierge electronic package thing, gym, etc. Location is really great, parking is ok, no car wash area. The building has been going thru some renovation, they just put a new roof on the building so that's great, repainted the building to give it a fresh look. This building is very pet friendly so you have to consider that before moving in. What I am mostly surprised about is that I've lived here a year and yet I have never heard my neighbors laundry machine or ice maker, it's pretty quiet. I would have rated it Excellent, but since the building has been going thru a transition over the last year plus just regular apartment living situations it would be very difficult to rate any place as Excellent. They just got a new building manager, they are doing constant improvements to the building and safety around the building...So this place is solid Good. For my living situation this place works out great, everywhere is accessible by foot, lime, train and to live in Rino, this was the best deal for the money.

I have lived at City Gate for 2 years now and I am now moving out of town to another location closer to work. I have to say, the saddest part about leaving City Gate is that I will no longer get to see the people that work there! They were always there with a smile and made sure to take care of anything i needed! Big shout out to Alex and Vanessa who literally made my living experience that much better! As for Maintenance requests, they were always on top of it and so friendly. If you are looking for a great location where you can walk to EVERYTHING, this is the place. The people who work there make it that much better! City Gate, I will miss you!!!

Where do I begin? Living here really sucked, like a lot lot. Our hot water heater broke and wasn't replaced for a week! We had no access to the coffee maker or common areas for 4 months, 1/3 of our lease, with no compensation or rent discounts. It was very often not working in the morning even when we had access to it. The pool chairs were ALL broken and weren't fixed until mid August, by that time the summer was nearly over. The hot tub was out of commission on a regular basis. Those amenities were a big reason I decided to move here. The WORST thing they did and biggest indication they have no idea what they're doing is that we agreed to move out on April 14th, but they only billed us until the 4th, even though I have the email correspondence showing we agreed upon the 14th. Then a month later my former roommate tells me he's receiving calls from a collection agency! These people reported us to a collection agency without ever even billing us for the other 10 days! Without ever even calling or writing an email, then when I called to find out what was going on they didn't even apologize for what they'd done. They just acted like oh well, those are the breaks. People make mistakes but this was an epic one and they don't even have the decency to assist in fixing the problem or offer an apology. This could've affected my credit and my ability to get a new apartment or a new car or anything else. I am furious they didn't even pick up the phone or send an email before sending it to collections, and this was their screw up!
The management company for this building is incompetent. They tow their own tenant's guests, and the place is constantly under construction. Don't expect any good customer service or decision making - just pure profiteering here. Steer clear!
I moved to CityGate from out of town without having ever visited, and I really have enjoyed it. It is in the coolest part of Denver (I think) with too many amazing restaurants around to even name. There are always fun festivals and events happening within a few blocks of the apartments. The actual apartments are nice - we really like ours even though it is small. They are fairly reasonably priced for this part of town, and the amenities (pool, hot-tub, workout room) are very nice. There does seem to be a lot of very young partiers here - but I really only have to deal with that at the pool. I don't hear much noise from my apartment. Definitely make sure you are aware of all of the things you will be charged for- our first few months here I kept getting surprise bills on our rent charge! But other than that, theres nothing really to complain about.
