Property Ratings at City View Apartments
I’ve lived here for almost 6 years now and 2 of those years ago if you asked me to review the building I would’ve given it 5 stars. However, since Angeline became the property manager there’s been nothing but issues. Maintenance work orders? Ignored. Emails complaining about mold and leaks in common areas? Ignored. Everything else you can possibly think of? Ignored. But they’re happy to keep raising your rent every year! Some specific examples: A few months ago my neighbor across the hall - who, mind you, lived in her unit less than 3 months - knocked on my door to ask if I had hot water. I did thankfully, but she hadn’t in weeks and no one helped her! She ended up breaking her lease and leaving early due to that AND secondhand smoke in her apartment. Smoking used to be banned in all units but this year when I renewed my lease I noticed it actually isn’t anymore. I lived in a 1bed 1bath from 2016-early 2021 before moving to a 2bed 2bath on a different floor. My original unit had almost no issues for my entire stay; however, my new unit had a leaky window when I moved in which I noticed when we had a big storm and tons of water was coming in. I filed a work order which went ignored until ANOTHER big storm at which I called the office and was told this was an issue in multiple units and was being addressed. When I asked why my work order from over a month ago hadn’t been tended to, Stacy told me she had no idea. No one ever came to my unit and it took me calling AGAIN to finally get my window fixed before it rained again. And btw, it wasn’t even part of whatever issue was happening with the whole building. Another recent frustration came when I called the emergency maintenance number that came on the fridge in our unit. I was told by the woman on the phone that they weren’t even our emergency maintenance company anymore! No one at the office has provided us with a new number to call! This long winded review doesn’t even skim the surface of issues I’ve experienced. So yeah, if you wanna live in crap conditions and breathe other folks’ smoke for through-the-roof prices, move to City View! At the end of the day I’m thankful to have minimal problems in my unit (for now) but it certainly isn’t that way for everyone, and if you DO have issues come up… they will not care.
I've been looking for a long time for the perfect place to live with everything I need, just the simple comforts, in a clean beautiful setting, for an affordable price this is it I found home.
