Resting along the Salt River, Tempe’s major claim to fame is the main campus of Arizona State University. More than fifty thousand students attend classes here, and the university’s impact on the local culture cannot be overstated. In addition to being the city’s largest employer, ASU serves as the cultural hub for Tempe, hosting guest speakers, art and history exhibits, concerts, and other events that draw students and non-students alike. In addition to ASU Sun Devil sports, Tempe is also home to the spring training facilities for the Los Angeles Angels and the Legoland Discovery Center Arizona. Most of the nightlife and entertainment options in town are clustered near the ASU campus on the north side of town, with the areas further south mostly occupied by quiet suburban neighborhoods.
Along with the impressive campus of ASU, Tempe house beautiful green spaces.

A lovely place to live. This complex beats out a lot of complexes even in Scottsdale. The office team are a delight to talk to and very helpful

Hey there - our pleasure! Happy you had a great experience. We hope you have a great day!
If you plan to move here, please look through the apartment thoroughly. I was super disappointed to find ticks in my apartment. And these were fully grown so they've been there for a bit before I moved in. Management missed it and were not quick on the response when I alerted them after moving in. Ticks carry many diseases that can be passed to humans and animals and it is scary to know that I have to wait an entire week to get someone just to inspect my apartment for them when I've found over a dozen throughout my "newly cleaned" apartment. Along with actual leaves in the washer and dog hair in/on almost every surface. It has been a depressing move in since I've had to push everything to the middle of the rooms and will need to run my entire wardrobe through the dryer and then bag them while I wait for the ticks to die. There are plenty of slits between floor and baseboard where they can slip out of so then I'm sure I'll live in fear of them coming back. I'm not even able to fully move in and it's been a few weeks. Hopefully these ticks won't spread through this dog friendly complex.

If you enjoy having bad wiring and floods, by all means live here. Be prepared to do all of your own maintenance and don’t bother the office staff, they will just bark at you about being busy on lunch break.

Management follow-ups on requests and questions are effective and timely. Office personnel are courteous and professional.
My experience has been stress free and the staff made sure I had somewhere to stay in a small amount of notice and I thank them for that
Cityscape has been home to me for almost 6 years in May to be exact. It's Safe, Clean, Close to Lowe's where I work, close to anything you could want. The management team is very courteous and is willing to help with your needs and concerns. I would recommend anyone looking to have a safe place to live here in Tempe to check Cityscape at Lakeshore.
If you enjoy opaque management and poor communication, choose this community!
Best place I've lived. I feel like I live in a resort or something. It's a really nice place to live. The amazing maintenance team are really nice and do their jobs 100 percent which is really important to me. Management team actually care about you and are really nice as well. No bugs.
I absolutely love the staff here and when anything breaks they always fix it right now!!! The winter grass is just beautiful I love calling this place my home!
Love the front office love and maintenance and all the staff they are all wonderful
Its not worth the money. The Comunity is great and the staff are fine most of the time but the place you live in is not. Ive had the same bracket trip in the apartment every time I plug something in. The ac has broken 5 times now and other repairs are mostly fine. Save your time and money.
Just love it here going on 3 years they made me and my family feel like this is home to us as I never ever wanted to live in apartment I love it more than anything. I mean would be nice to have a back yard but my kids have fun at the pool or just walking the dog and running the in grass
Cityscape at Lakeshore is my apartment home for 5 yes now. It is very clean, quiet and safe. It is convenient to everything you would need. Close to my work. The office manager and staff are so caring and want to help you with your concerns. I love living here.
I love the community, it's quite accessible to just about everything, the residents are nice the people at the office are nice, especially Yvette who is super helpful.
This place has been a nightmare living here and dealing with how messed up this place. Management/ office workers are terrible.
The renovated apartments are surprisingly alright for older buildings. Parking might be an issue if you don't pay extra for a garage or car port, but it depends on where you're located in the complex. And unless you're a night owl who likes pool parties, don't rent anything close to the pool. During the spring and summer you will not get sleep a couple times a week. The maintenance staff are great- they are friendly and actually work to solve your maintenance requests and respond in a reasonable amount of time. This property is managed by Alliance, so you'll need to deal with the same hollow, scripted language you hear at any given location.

Hi, we truly appreciate your honest feedback. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Kindly, Cityscape Lakeshore
Awesome property, great location, Im excited to be here!
Cityscape at Lakeshore is an old apartment complex partially renovated to look nice but is actually run down with lots of loud music playing in apartments and cars driving by. Smell of weed everywhere you walk. The WORST part is the apartment complex plumbing is VERY old and we constantly had issues with the sinks and shower not draining. Our kitchen had been gurgling since we moved in and we had put in multiple work orders for it to be fixed until it finally DID back flow New Years day at 1030pm it completely back flowed with disgusting fatty, dirty kitchen water from the apartment above us. I had to carry buckets of water out of the sink to the back porch to prevent the entire apartment from flooding. After the plumber arrived to get the water draining, the apartment was left a disgusting mess with fatty material ALL over the cabinets and black dirt underneath the cabinets - had to stay up late after putting my toddler down to clean my apartment till midnight. No apologies or offer to have the apartment cleaned or the carpet cleaned!! AND they want to CHARGE me $912 to replace the CARPET in my apartment after this disaster took place! My apartment building isn't the only one with plumbing issues, each building has had the water turned off for the day for "plumbing" issues asking tenants to use the pool restroom. Most recently upon moving out and after being told my apartment was going to be renovated with vinyl floorings (removal of all carpet) we were charged with a "carpet replacement fee" and "pet odor fogging fee" of $912. After living here for 2.5 years the carpet had NO burns, tears, rips, or stains, my dog is 100 percent potty trained, a ten year old lab. And I feel the $35 pet rent we paid equating to $1050 over that time plus the $250 non-refundable pet deposit and the $250 pet deposit that was applied to this should have adequately covered any supposed "pet odor fogging and sealing". According to HUD carpet wear from normal use is the responsibility of the landlord or apartment complex which includes carpet thinning and worn. The tenant is ONLY responsible for carpet replacement if there are rips, tears, burns or urine stains, of which we had none. Ceiling walls exceptionally thin so if you don't like to sleep and want horrible plumbing and then be back charged for erroneous charges that you're not responsible for, then this is the place for you! P.S. They give new tenants incentives for reviews such as Free Amazon Gift Cards.

Horrible place to live, the apartments are falling apart and getting the office staff to assist with anything is impossible
I enjoyed the clean, quiet community. Every time there were issues, which was rare, management was ready to fix it. I did not have to wait at all fir my concerns to be addressed. The apartment was clean and very nice to live in. The community was quiet and safe. I enjoyed my stay here at Cityscape.
Very nice well maintained exteriors and landscaping. Office staff and Maintenance friendly and responsive as can be during panemic.

D O N T L I V E H E R E !! !! The only good thing about this complex is the location, the apartment complex itself is TERRIBLE. My partner and I HAD to move from one apartment because of roaches. Pest control came every Tuesday for at least a month. Once moving to the new 2 bedroom apartment the kitchen was ran over by roaches as well. My partner found where they came from, moved the dishwasher and cleaned out that area. When pest control and maintenance finally arrived to take care of the problem, we told them we took care of it. The floors and walls are so thin its like having a ghost that you can hear when they walk up the stairs, unlock and open the door to their apartment, enter their house, go from room to room, even open and close their windows. When Yvette told us the units are all connected through vents, its safe to assume through pipes and wires too! Our dryer went out and so did the our upstairs neighbors-every time she had a problem so did we. We have lived here for 3 years only because of not having transportation but being able to taking advantage of the different public transportation services around (hence why this is a good area), with that being said we have seen this place go down hill VERY fast

I want to take a minute to comment on this outstanding apartment complex. As a resident her for the past sixteen months I have nothing but very favorable words to say about the management team and maintenance team that see to it that every detail meets and exceeds my expectations. The buildings are perfect, the grounds are perfect, and the apartment is perfect. If your looking for a truly awesome home, these folks will provide it.

I do not recommend this place. Ever since new mangment has taken over things have gone down hill very quickly. The office staff and the manager does not care about there resident. They are not responsive and very rude. The maintenance take forever to come if at all if you have a maintence issue. Also the water bill is based on community usauage so if you don’t like a 100 dollar or more water bill a month don’t live here.

I'm so sorry to hear your unfortunate experience, That was truly not our intentions. We really appreciate your feedback, and hope you do give us a chance to make it right!
It's a good apartment but way overpriced. The community is fairly quiet. There was a robbery while I lived there which could have been avoided if they would put gates in. Apartments are well kept but show their age. Cracks in the boards, water damage, etc. I enjoyed my living here but you can find a LOT more just a few miles south or east.

We are sorry you had a negative experience here at Cityscape. A certain degree of noise is an integral part of community apartment living. We are always happy to address concerns regarding loud music, shouting, or parties that extend to neighboring apartments however the sounds of normal everyday living are out of our control. We are always willing to transfer someone to a different apartment if this situation persists.

I have been here about 3 months and love it so far. The complex is quiet and has a good mix of college students, young professionals, families, and retired folks. I moved into an apartment that was not renovated but i do have updated floors which I love. The office does take a while to get back to you if you email them but maintenance requests done online are done very quickly. I have only had a few issues like the people who moved into my building partake in some dug use (I can smell it at times when i take my dog out) and raising the rent so much higher. I love the place but will not be renewing my lease since the rent is going up so much.

I've lived here for one year now. The front office staff and the maintenance staff are great. They're very friendly and responsive, and they've always been very quick to get issues resolved (my AC went out on an 113-degree day and they had it fixed within two hours). The amenities are nice-- they take good care of the pool area and it gets a lot of use. However, one of the gate entrances to the pool has been broken for over three months and they have yet to fix it, even though they are definitely aware of it. The gym is ok-- it has the essentials, and it's clean most of the time. As for the actual apartments, I live in a 1-bedroom and it's ok. All the units are recently renovated, meaning they "upgraded" the kitchen (laminate flooring, and dark wood-looking wraps around the cheap cabinets that peel off from the heat of the oven.) The appliances are fairly new but VERY cheap, with the exception of the washer and dryer, which are just old. There is a lot of counter space, though, and the kitchen is pretty big compared to what you would normally get in a small apartment. However, the garbage disposal gets backed up very easily, as all three floors are connected on the same disposal system. The sink drain is also shared with the dishwasher drain-- the dishwasher ends up smelling rancid and water pools at the bottom (maintenance told us it was a lousy design and that I could run the dishwasher's rinse cycle to get it to drain...) The bathroom and walk-in closet are a good size. The windows in the unit are not very energy efficient, but they also let a lot of light in. The carpet was replaced when the unit was renovated, so it's in fairly good shape. They'll come and spray for pests if you ask (for free), but we've still had the occasional roach, spider, ant, and even a lizard once... all rare but still unnerving to someone who didn't grow up in the area. The walls are fairly thin, and we can hear every single footstep of the people above us, so I would recommend getting a top-floor unit if you can. The top floors also have high vaulted ceilings, so that's nice. Overall, the complex really is quite nice, with very friendly tenants, and they are pet friendly. It's in a great neighborhood (Whole Foods is right across the street) and the 72 bus stop is steps away and goes right to ASU. I would definitely recommend this complex, though I do think it's overpriced for the quality.

Thank you for your posting and we are very glad you like living at our community. We do strive to make our residents comfortable and enjoyable to live here. We are sorry you feel that the applicances are of "cheap quality", we will let our ordering department aware of your opinion of the quality. Arizona is a desert and yes, where ever you go you will see pests, I have them at my home as well. That is why we do have pest control here on a weekly basis.
The 3-windowed dining area is nice and bright, especially for the 2nd floor which has top windows above the main windows. The ceilings are high but cooling costs are still reasonable. Good location being down the street from a mini mall with Whole Foods and 3 or 4 other restaurants. Many places to walk to for lunch. Three major banks have branches within easy walking distance as well. However, the parking is behind the building requiring one to walk around the building for half of the occupants @ the far east end of the complex. The remodeled units are a bit nicer but i have seen better upgrades elsewhere for the money. I have had a problem in the kitchen that thus far has not been able to be solved, but this should not be a problem in a remodeled unit since those have newer kitchens. The air conditioner compressors are located on the ground directly in front of the master bedroom for the 1st floor and directly below it for second floor units so this does make more noise if one is sensitive to it. Sleeping in the smaller bedroom might be an answer for solo tenants or couples without children.

The apartment itself is lovely, spacious closets and living space. The grounds are nice and well kept. However, the lack of management who takes responsibility and fixes mistakes brings the rating way down. My apartment was not ready for my move in date and it was like pulling teeth to get the management in there to get things ready. Overall, be prepared to deal with unorganized management.
I just started living here and I love it so far. I love the 24 hour fitness center and pool. The thing I like the most however, is the community. Everyone is respectful and gave me a warm welcome when I moved in.
