Property Ratings at CityScape Flats
The management has run this property into the ground. Last summer the ‘pool’ that is 1 foot deep was unable to be opened with no apology or attempt at compensating residents for the failure. The only positive of this property is how close it is to the tincaps, but even that is taken back from how the gas station commonly known as Shady Shell is right next door; and with how easy it is to get into the building there’s concerns about safety. There is trash everywhere you look, and management appears to be content to overcharge residents. Seek residence elsewhere.
Was walking around with my friend that lives here and there was trash everywhere, in the landscaping and all over the common areas, I wish they picked up more…
I was scheduled to tour the other day and when I was arrived no one was in the office. The lights were on so I waited for about 20 minutes and no one ever showed up. The building looks nicely finished but the staff is clearly not tenative.
I toured the property today, and the lady couldn't answer my questions, I don't know if she didn't know the answers or didn't want to tell me the answers. The whole time she made me feel awkward and out of place...
City Scape Flats are great to live in as a young adult who is new to Fort Wayne. Most of the residents are business professionals, nurses, or something of the type and they are all very friendly. The apartment complex throws multiple events for the residents, including concerts in the club room! It has been a very fun environment so far. Also, the location is perfect as you can meet people while just going on a walk downtown. This is a very dog-friendly community, most people have pets! The rent is pretty expensive, but there are many amenities and these are probably some of the nicest and newest apartments in Fort Wayne. These apartments are also very secure as you need a fob to make the elevators go up. I do wish there was a way to buzz guests up so that I wouldn’t have to go down and let them in every time. My only other complaint would be that I had a lantern stolen from outside my door. I was suprised because other people have decorations outside of their doors, and it had been fine for the first month and a half that I lived here. Plus, I wasn’t worried about this happening due to how nice the apartment complex is, but I guess I’d be naive to think that theft isn’t something to be concerned about anywhere you live. Other than that, I’ve been really happy living here!
Amazing place to live downtown. You definitely get what you pay for; great floor plan, awesome amenities, great location, and great staff. No complaints!
Cityscape is a great place to live. It’s close to everything in downtown. The management is great.
I love living at CityScape! The apartments are beautiful and well maintained, we have a great trash valet service, and a beautiful courtyard. The office staff are amazing and always willing to help!
City Scape Flats is awesome to live at! I’ve been here for 4 shorts months and it’s been great! Centrally located downtown with well kept apartments and an awesome central gathering spot in the complex! The people are great too!
I emailed them for a possible apartment and they took forever to get back to me…
I toured these last week and was sad to see that there was not much offered for the high price. Apartments were nice but nothing fancy or mind blowing. Location is okay, is a little on the south side of town for me and there is a decent amount of train noise.
The location is good, the apartments look nice, and the neighbors are friendly. But since this management company took over, it has been a very disappointing place to live. Consistently the grounds are unkept, little to no communication, exterior doors/garage doors breaking often, multiple instances of incorrect fees applied to rent, and common areas (hallways/stairwells) are just dirty. Do NOT recommend under current management.

This is the worst place I have ever lived. The grounds look terrible, they were letting us swim in an unsafe “pool” for years. They charge you $250 if any pet waste is left behind (and the grounds are turf so anything messy does get left behind) and the management is so rude. Literally save yourself the money - it’s not worth it.

My wife and I moved to Fort Wayne, IN from Minnesota. We could not be any happier with our choice to move to CityScape Flats. Since we moved to FW in July we have been able to enjoy all that Downtown Fort Wayne has to offer. Great restaurants and entertainment are all in walking distance, and we wouldn't be able to enjoy nearly as as much of this if we lived in the suburbs. After living in Minneapolis, MN and Berkeley, CA I cannot believe how inexpensive this city is, as our apartment would go for at least twice as much in most other cities. We have enjoyed the TinCaps games right across the street probably more than any other opportunity. The biggest "negative" I here from my new friends in the area is an apparent old held belief that "downtown Fort Wayne" is dangerous, I can tell you as someone who has transplanted from different areas of the country I disagree. CityScape is very secure (if locked exterior gates and a gated private garage) and I have never felt unsafe in our community outside of the property, I feel this view is a hangover from prior to Fort Wayne revitalization of the downtown. If a gym is important to you the one here on property is great, and certainly wasn't an after thought as I saw in the other apartment facilities I visited when moving. It is state of the art and open 24/7 so I can still get in after a long day (I teach night courses at a university). I hope you check this place out, move here, and I will get an opportunity to meet you at one of the properties organized get-togethers.
