The cities of Livermore, Dublin and Pleasanton form a loosely shaped triangle within California's Tri-Valley region, a cluster of three small valleys about 33 miles east of San Francisco and 35 miles northeast of San Jose. Known for its Mediterranean climate, rolling hills and historic vineyards, this once bucolic region now boasts three separate downtown areas, a bustling business community and some of the best wineries in the state.
At the eastern end of the region lies the city of Livermore. Once known as Livermores, Livermore Ranch and Nottingham, the city sits at the center of Livermore Valley, a historic region dotted with more than 5,000 acres of mostly family-owned vineyards. A pastoral neighborhood known for its charming yet functional hilltop windmills, Livermore hosts the internationally recognized and sometimes controversial center of scientific research, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories.

Property Ratings at Civic Square
Moved into complex in July of 2024, the 6 months have been pleasant. Have not lived in an apartment for over 30 years, what is strange, we travelled the United States in our RV for 23 years, and after we sold our home, we stayed in an apartment for 3 months prior to hitting the road, IT WAS HERE!! Full circle.

Hi - thanks for letting us know we went Beyond Expectations! We'll be sure to share with the team here at Civic Square Apartments!
Worst apartment complex I’ve lived in. Dont live here! Management always giving you the run around . they say they want to help but they don’t trust me. The place is dirty and the buildings are squeaky and loud. If you unfortunately have to live here I advise you to live upstairs and you be the one to bother instead of getting bothered lol people are inconsiderate anyways. I chose to live downstairs thinking I have a dog and a baby on the way its best so that we dont disrupt our upstairs neighbors lmao! such bad call. there are multiple families living in one apartment and make noise at different hours of time. also, I swear to you im not making this up, there are guys that pee almost right at your door! yes! guys peeing outside the apartment its outragious. thankfully my contract is almost over and then were out of here thank god.

Hi - I'm so sorry to hear your experience didn't meet your expectations (or our standards), and one of us will get in touch directly to see what we can do to make it right.
good access to downtown and parks and bike trails.
Good staff at Civic Square. I’ve had positive experiences with office personnel and I appreciate the great maintenance team.
We love living at civic square. It is close to schools and library. We feel safe living here at all hours. The management team is super friendly, they organized back to school ice cream social which our kid loved. Overall I recommend these apartments to anyone thinking of moving near the downtown pleasanton.
Excellent facility so far, think that we're going to enjoy living here. Only been here for 3 days, but overall experience has been positive.
We have been living here for more than 5 years and planning to stay here longer. Office staff friendly and knowledgeable. Maintenance staff are prompt and pet friendly
We have been and still in civic square apartment since 2017 never see any issue beside the rent increased. It’s nice and quite enforcement and clean.
All good during the 3 years I spent in Cuvic square except the laundry rooms are occupied over the weekends by couple of cleaners. I But when I moved out they imposed a extra dirty covid cleaning fee eventhough I handed over the place the same way. I even did a walk through with one of their employees as well.
Ive not had a good experience. My car was vandalized twice. Too much partying and noise. You need more security between 11pm and 2am Thursday thru Sunday.
Nice Apartment community. It would be great if we have children's park near by.
It nice a quiet environment very clean. The maintenance and staff friendly.
The water and power and laundry rooms break down regularly.
I like CIVIC SQUARE Apartments. Near by library, play ground, walkable distance to middle and elementary schools
Great location! Super friendly & easy to work with.
Es un lugar muy tranquilo, muy agradable para vivir…
We were shown a staged apartment and were told we were getting the same floor plan and amenities just with different countertops, and that is not what we got at all. Our apartment ended up not having balcony storage, we have a smaller bedroom, poor paint job and windows with broken weatherproofing. On our move in, they wrote down everything we wanted fixed and said they would help us ASAP, but never did. They ignore our calls and emails. They don’t help us when we visit the office. The gutters on our building have been clogged since our move in date so there’s a rain waterfall at our front door whenever it rains, which brings in water whenever we open the door. The only good thing about this property is we haven’t had any car break ins, stolen packages, water shut offs or trouble finding parking.
so bad management and communication , plus old poor apartments , with poor maintenance
Peaceful, great location, friendly and helpful staff.
Civic Square is very conveniently located to beautiful downtown Pleasanton and is a well kept happy community to be a part of.
Tengo más de 10 años viviendo aquí es un lugar tranquilo El personal de oficina es amable y dan buen servicio
If you have a pet don't rent here. Be sure you insure what you own because it just might get ripped off. Keep lots of bottled water stored because if there is another water line break the management will not help you and leave you dry for days.
I really love living at civic square. The staff is exceptional. I do have one BIG COMPLAINT and thats about my mailbox. I would not recommend civic square to anyone until my mailbox situation is rectified. But I do believe that is not due to the immediate staff. It has been months since Ive not had a mailbox and its extremely difficult to get to the post office due to my schedule. Other than that, this place is amazing.
Is located in a good area, easy entry and exit and environment is clean and well maintained.
Civic Square Apartments are centrally located near the Pleasanton Public Library. With an attentive staff, it is a perfect place to call home if you are working in Pleasanton.
Read this and the others that have the one start because these are the REAL reviews from current renters!!! Right now it is 7:35 pm at night and the KIDS and STILL YELLING and SCREAMING running on the Dog Park Lawn!!!! Funny thing is, they go HOME to their Apartment with "CRAP" all over their shoes and clothes. I see them now YELLING and rolling on the lawn... LOL! So noisy here!!! Many of us Renters here have told the office, over and over again. They just sit back in their office... I asked, "Do you ever walk around and see what's going on?" Dear in the "headlights" was the look I got... They have Golf carts (the office staff). They don't even have to walk. Visit around 3:30 pm, this is when the noise starts. Also, BECAREFUL backing-up our of the car-port or any spot here!!! THE SAME LOUD KIDS ride their Bikes and Scooters RIGHT BEHIND your car -- we all have tp drive so slow like snails, because the KIDS and THEIR PARENTS have NO REPSECT for anyone else living here!!! Due to COVID people work NIGHTS and SLEEP in DAY!! TOO noisy to sleep in the day!!!! People WORK from home during the DAY!! TOO Noisy to WORK FROM HOME!!! DO NOT MOVE here unless you want to lose your job because of the noise, or lose Sleep because of the noise!!!! Leave while you can!!!!
WORST APARTMENT EVER, all appliances are very old, very poor quality mat flooring and very harsh apartment office staff
The communication from management is absolutely horrible! Make sure you get the total monthly amount of what you are going to pay. I have received a full amount and after a year they said I owe more for utilities that was never discussed. Make sure you get everything in writing! Don't trust this management team. Anything along Bernal street is LOUD day and night! It is nice to be at the end of main street but with COVID there's nothing really open. Maintenance team is on it.
Civic Square is one of the best places for family. The team is very supportive and professional. I recommend this place for family and friends.
I have been staying here for 3 months and completely happy with the apartment. I get prompt responses and resolutions to the maintenance request and overall happy with my 3 months of stay here at Civic Square.
Great location, community, staff and excellent maintenance staff.
A really excellent space with nice people in the community and great location. Management and maintenance staff are top notch and have been excellent, even with all of the challenges of Covid.
Quiet and beautiful community. Great maintenance team.
Love our new apartment at Civic Square. We love the diverse community and the proximity to Main Street! The location is central to everything! We especially love having our dog with us & living amongst other dog lovers
Staying in Civic Square Apartments for 11 years now are excellent choice, the perfect neighborhood to live for is the best. the maintenance staff are the best
Civic Square Apts, in Pleasanton, CA hosts a modern living community in a beautiful setting close to historic, downtown. The awesome office personnel and maintenance crew provide a welcoming and well cared for environment for all. Laurie Nipper, September 10, 2020
Great place to live!!
I have been living in civic square for last 1 and half years community is really good and staff at office are really supportive i always call Floyd if I have any issues and they will fix it immediately. Near to Ace train and good schools I would recommend civic square for my friends
Management is completely non existent here. Nobody monitors the parking, there is constant work being done that requires the water to be shut off almost once a month with little to no notice. There are 2 units next to me have probably 15 people living in each of them and have at least a total of 7 cars taking up guest parking at all times. Garbage is a nightmare, there is one dumpster for 4 buildings and it is always overflowing. The appliances are all outdated in our apartment. Nobody enforces the no smoking policy, as I'm constantly smelling cigarette smoke from my room window. I've had people park in my personal spot and the management was reluctant to do anything to help, but ended up placing a sign on the window of the car after some discussion resulting in me having to find another spot to park other than the spot I have been assigned by the management office themselve. Honestly this place is a joke, and has no sign of any attempt at improvement.
I have lived here for more than a year. Their management is very unprofessional. Maintenance is poor and at the end they deducted our security money without legitimate reasons.
I cannot stress how much I hate this place. I lived at Civic Square for about a year and dreaded the whole time I was there. IT IS SO LOUD. There is absolutely no insulation whatsoever. I could hear my neighbors conversations word for word and the street noise was unbearable. The parking sucks. You will never find a spot oh and if you do, it's too small to fit in. You can also guarantee that when your lease expires, they'll raise your rent. To top it all off, they failed to return my security deposit. I called and sent MULTIPLE e-mails and demand letters with absolutely no response. I am now filing a small claims suit against Civic Square and am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Trust me, you DO NOT want to live here.
I have lived here 1 month and my overall reaction so far is disappointed but still hopeful. On the positive side, the complex is very quiet and the staff is kind and friendly. The gym, though small is clean and has high quality equipment and is seldom busy. On the negative side the complex and most of the amenities have fallen into disrepair and are not being updated / maintained. I chose a unit without a washer/dryer so have to use the community laundry. The laundry closest to me now has 2 out of 4 washers down. One has been down since I moved in, the other just went down. The washers and dryers themselves are very simple, similar to what you would find in a laundry mat. As to my apartment, the carpet is old (not replaced) and has many stains. The painting and cleaning that was done prior to move in was below standard. I have had to clean almost everything over again. There were even cobwebs in the windows and a huge hair clog in the bathroom sink. As to the painting, I have had to sand down and repaint one wall (they panted over nails and left obvious drips that dried on the wall) and clean almost every window frame and appliance where they didn't bother to tape off or paint carefully. I am holding out hope that updates and repairs will come as the we move from winter to spring. If that happens I would be happy to change my score because this complex does have potential.

Our top priority is our wonderful community members. The dissatisfaction you have experienced has spurred a team meeting, meant to improve the items you listed here. We have a repairman coming to inspect the washers and dryers in all of our laundry facilities. All amenities will be inspected and tested until they are in proper working order. Civic Square Apartments are well managed and in a great location if you have school aged kids. Located across the street from the school, library and police station it is best suited for convenience. There are 2 types of apartments, the newer ones are nicer for a premium but all are well kept. Pets Allowed. Because of the convenient location, noise is an issue, takes getting used to.
Them are so afrenly and cold persons and inprofessional

My husband and I have visited this property. On the phone, we were told a certain price but the office staff welcomed us said completely different! Why they didn't have the same information?? That made us unhappy. Making appointment didn't mean anything! BTW, the location is very nice and close to the cute little downtown! I wish they had laundry in each unit!

Here at civic Square we have many options as far as lease terms are concerned. We offer anything from 3-15 month terms your first year. After the term has been completed you have the option to renew or you may go month to month. Our pricing changes daily. This means if you were quoted a price the day you made an appointment, the day of the appointment pricing will have changed a little. It could go up or down depending on the market and many other factors. If you do a same day appointment the price will always be the same. The leasing office can be reached at (925) 484-1011 if you have any questions. We are here seven days a week (except major holidays) for your convenience.
