Toledo’s Southside neighborhood sits along the Maumee River with easy access to several major roadways, including Interstate 75, US Highway 24, and Western Avenue. Southside Toledo is home to the Toledo Zoo, Highland Park, and Middlegrounds Metro Park, a 28-acre urban park near downtown with a riverfront path for bikers and joggers. Swan Creek Preserve Metropark sits just outside of the neighborhood and offers scenic, forested trails.
The University of Toledo sits a few miles north of Southside, making the neighborhood a popular place for students, faculty, and staff to call home. Separated from Downtown Toledo by Swan Creek, Southside residents can easily reach the heart of the city for work opportunities, as well as dining, shopping, and entertainment. Local restaurants and shops can be found in Southside as well, but the majority of the neighborhood is residential.

Mouse infested ! I gave notice plenty of times and been seeing mouse since I moved in here. The walls at the bottom of the floor is open and I believe mouse are coming from apartment to apartment. They was supposed to fix my wall in the beginning but never did.

I thought finding a place to rent would be impossible in this era as a millennial. Claire Commons offers personal assistance directly on the property. Angela, the Assistant Manager, is willing and considerate. For example, she found a one bedroom unit that I can transfer to within my price range. I moved into a studio efficiency in March of 2023, not sure how I was going afford the entire lease. But thanks to the Flex App that is offered, allowing me to split my monthly rent into two payments, I can now see myself moving into a one bedroom as of 2024. Lastly, whenever I have any issues with electric or a closet door, the maintenance man is professional, and takes care of issues on time. The AC units work in the warmer season and the heat works in the colder season. Thankful for the kitchen appliances and laundry facility as well.
