Property Ratings at Claremont
I have lived at the Claremont since October of 2020. I don't have a single complaint and enjoy my peaceful and spacious home here. The property management is always working on improving the renter's experience. Since moving in, the pool has been repaired, new roofing completed throughout the complex, new fitness center, new space created for delivering all of your packages so they aren't stolen off your doorstep or locked up in the office where you can't get to them after hours, new patios and balconies as needed, refinished parking lots, refreshed landscaping, and a newly upgraded dog agility park! Maintenance is always timely and responsive and the office is friendly and helpful and was very understanding and forgiving when my husband passed within a few months of moving in and I fell behind on the rent while I settled affairs out of state. My apt has always been bug free and may only see a roach or two within a couple of days after a neighbor moves out and a house spider on occasion as the weather changes. However, I have some good pest control/barrier spray that I use that prevents anything from taking up permanent residence. My neighbors have sometimes been a little sketchy (and usually high) but I never had any direct problems with any of them. I love my other building tenants who act like the neighborhood watch and let me know if something seems off. My car was only ransacked once when I left it unlocked by mistake on the weekend but mia culpa. I will miss this place when my lease is up this summer, but it is time to get into my own house now. Note: I live in one of the "outdated" apartments and I love it more than the newer ones. But I am a classic kinda woman so that is probably why... although I do wish my old oven had a window and an interior light to check on food while it cooks.

Application process seemed easy at first but then I had to deal with some of the employees and they were rude only, one them was nice to me so I kept going back to her. My move-in was delayed because of a contractor issue and one of the fees caught me by surprise (I thought I had it paid already). I have never had issues like this before so I almost went somewhere else. Nothing that I requested fixed at move-in has been fixed and there is no ticket on my account, which is what the employee I turned the paper into said she would do. I got my keys but I still have to go ask for a key fob for the gym, if not you have go through the office to unlock this door in the clubhouse and it feels weird. However pros are apartment is in good shape, nice closet and clean. Pet friendly, Plenty of parking, nice lawn and amenities for residents. Package room is a great feature. It’s a good value but office people left a bad taste.

If i could leave 0 starts I would. Do not, and i repeat, do not get an apartment here. In the 11 months I’ve been here my car had gotten broken into at least 11 times, my fiancé got his car window shattered and they stole everything out of his car. I reported each and every time it happened and the complex has yet to do a single thing. We had a police standoff in the complex and i was kicked out of my apartment, which had my puppy in it, for almost 12 hours. They refused to let me grab my dog. All they did after that was send a “Thank you for sticking with Claremont” note on my door. They’re online payment system constantly messes up, making my automatic payments late hence causing me late fees. Worst management team i’ve encountered, tried to get the corporate number and they either gave me a fake or corporate just never ever answers. They do not work with you. Ive had to have maintenance come out multiple times because my ac keeps going out and my water heater. My apartment was infested with cockroaches, and they didn’t do a single thing about it other than “oh maintenance can come”. Worst place i’ve ever lived, if youre thinking about coming I highly recommend against it.

Have lived here under a year, but have had a pleasant transition so far. Any maintenance issues were addressed quickly and most were finished the first time. The issues that needed multiple trips were simply because supplies were needed to be ordered/obtained. Every work order placed has been promptly solved and handled with care. Special shout-out to Tony for his friendliness, professionalism, and diligence in ensuring the job is done correctly each time. Having a reliable, courtesy, knowledgeable maintenance team is one of the more important aspects of an apartment complex and I believe Tony and his colleagues fit the mold. The office staff are also among the friendliest people, I’ve never felt out of place or as if I was unimportant. The community truly does feel like home.

Office staff are very friendly and helpful. I was in a bind because the apartment I secured elsewhere fell through and needed to find a place asap. They did what they could to get me in and maintenance were quick to address any concerns I had. Prices are reasonable and it is a convenient location.

We’ve only been here 3 weeks and we are desperately trying to get out already. We already had a few minor complaints but then my car was vandalized. NOT a safe place or area at all!!!! No cameras and the “security” patrol doesn’t watch close enough to ensure your safety. My car was damaged for about 14 hours and no one reported it or said a word!!

The front staff are all sweethearts and the maintenance crew do great work. It’s always a pleasure popping into the front office to say hi and pick up mail packages as the girls are super friendly and assertive. Whenever a maintenance request comes up the guys are sure to work out the issue and even take extra time to get it right. Well done for an older place really.

I've been living here for more than 10 years with great satisfaction. The manager and staffs are always very nice to me and take care of my trouble calls without delay. also the location is perfect for everything. thanks.
Crappy maintenance been complaining bout black mold since I've been here. Huge gasps in doors. Shitty security. My apartment gets broke into complex does nothing. They over charge on water bills im home 4 times a month they charge me more than others. Maintenance guy hit on me. Dude i don't swing that way.. consistently complaining bout neighbors being loud. Foundation splitting in my apartment.they say that is normal. People smoke in the pool ash in pool sell drugs in parking lots here. U ask for corporate number they give u the run around. Pet crap is everywhere you walk they don't maintain iced side walks slipped on side walks all office said is be careful its slick. By law there supposed to take care of this.. all this place cares about is taking your money. They want you to give them good reviews well take better care of property.
I tried to get an apartment here. I talked with a few residents outside before going into the office and reviews were mixed. Some said it was okay. Others told me to look elsewhere. I decided to take a shot in the dark since the lower rent looked appealing. The room was small. There were a few scummy people who looked like addicts around the deeper parts. The application process was slow and the woman who was doing the application was... nice... but kind of bubbleheaded. I needed to show proof of income, which would have been fine if she'd gave me the WiFi password so I could get the info. After waiting 20 minutes, I went over and she was just talking to other workers. I also got screwed out of the 200 dollar "application fee" that's non-refundable. If you're thinking of renting here, try elsewhere.
I’ve lived here 3 months and already had the sewer back up (so couldn’t shower 1 day) and now the hot water heater is broken. Called the emergency maintenance line and instead of being able to leave a message like I was supposed to, it says “thanks for calling goodbye.” When I finally got ahold of a voicemail the next day they sent maintenance to look and said it wouldn’t be fixed until Monday because I need a new one and the store already closed for the day... WELL MAYBE IF YOUR EMERGENCY LINE WORKED YOU WOULD’VE GOTTEN TO ME SOONER. So that’s another 3 days I can’t shower here. Then went into the office to talk to someone and she told me I should’ve called the number on the website.... then why do you have this number in the residence packet for emergencies?? Asked if there was anything I could do and I got told I’d have to take a cold shower if I want to shower for work Monday. Ridiculous. Wasn’t offered compensation or anything.
I really wanted to live here, and at first I was welcomed by a sweet girl, she was incredibly accommodating, and made sure all of my questions were answered. Then it came time to place a holding fee, well I want everyone to be aware that this apartment complex is going to try and nickel and dime you for everything that you are worth. I had to put down $200 to hold the apartment, $50 was non refundable(it goes towards the application fee), which I thought was incredibly reasonable. Now, the other $150 does not go towards ANYTHING if you are approved for the apartment, and is refundable if you are NOT APPROVED or if you decide within 72 hours FROM THE TIME YOU SIGN the application that you do not want the apartment. I was told outside of the 72 hour window that I was approved, and that it was going to be an ADDITIONAL $200 on top of a $175 nonrefundable bond. It was going to be nearly $900 just to move into a studio, and I thought that was ridiculous. The manager was not friendly and Needless to say I did not move in here based on my pre-leasing experience. Here is a compact list of the items that I would like potential tenants to be aware of(and honestly I just would not recommend this community): 1. Do not let the apartment complex scare you into putting down a holding fee, unless you are certain that you want to move in, because you only have 72 hours to have the money refunded and chance are the complex will be deceitful and tell you that you are approved out of the 72 hour window so you cannot be refunded the money. I do not want you to be out $200 like I am. 2. Chances are you will never speak to the same person twice. I had the hardest time keeping track of who I spoke to and when because it always changes. Excuses you'll hear are " They are off today and will be back tomorrow" (yeah no, they were out all week) "They are at lunch, is there something I can help you with? " Keep note of who you speak to and when. 3. They will not show you the apartment you are moving into until you move in. When you ask for a showing they show you a lovely staged apartment, that may or may not look like what you are moving into, and that quite frankly is scary. 4. Be mindful of your pre-leasing experience, because how you are treated during that time will be indicative of how you are treated while living there. 5. Ultimately, the decision is yours, and I simply want others to keep their hard earned money, and have a more pleasant experience than mine.
When I first moved in many things didn't work so they replaced my dish washer and left the broken one literally on my front step, I asked the office to get it moved and it took them about 2 weeks to get it to the trash. Bathroom ceiling leaked for about a month before they made time to come look at it, when they did, they cut a large hole out and didn't fix so the leak increased, I went to the office to ask when they were going to correct it and Jessica ( the property manager) and one of the maintenance guys laughed at me and said it wasn't a big deal, I then asked for Jessica's supervisors number and she quickly became professional and said it would be taken care of. Maintenance never leaves notes when entering apartment, even tho I asked several times for them to do so. The apartment above me caught fire, and I was at work, never notified so came home to my ceiling soaked with water as well as half my carpet ripped up and a fan blowing under it. I asked if they would replace carpet to prevent mold and was told if I wanted it, I could use my renters insurance to do so, this is noooooooot what renters insurance is for, it is solely to cover my belongings , not the apartments. Amenities included were not even sanitary enough to use, so laundry was taken down the road to a laundry mat and the pool was never used. Gym key costs $25 , which when you move in they tell u it's also included. I have photos of the pool where the scum was so bad you couldn't see the water..... staff was told about this and again they laughed and said " oh my gosh I know it's disgusting" . I would go somewhere else, anywhere else actually if you are looking for an apartment, the whole experience was terrible, made worse by lazy staff and poor leadership.
Would not recommend. A few days after I move in I put in a maintenance request to put a light bulb in the light that was in my courtyard. At night it was pitch black and made me feel unsafe. Over the course of my stay there I put in multiple requests for this. Even after reports of armed robberies taking place there, they still did not replace it. It wasn't fixed until the week I moved out. Also, my next door neighbor had what looked like a bullet hole in his window. Overall, this place made me question my safety. I also had more problems with maintenance. My toilet was constantly running while not in use. Maintenance had come out to look at it a few times, however it was never fixed.
Run. Run as fast as you can. Do not sign a lease here under any circumstances. The only decent people that work here is Shawna in the office and Jeff the maintenance manager. The manager Jessica is a snobby individual who thinks she is better than everyone and consistently talks down to residents. From dumpsters overflowing with trash, animal feces everywhere, stairs with wood flaking off, bathtub spouts coming out of the wall, huge gaps in the door frames which maintenance refuses to fix, neighbors who scream at each other in the parking lot at all hours, bass music as the constant soundtrack to your life, it doesn't get much worse than this. Can't wait to move!
By far the worst apartment I have lived in so far. Maintenance team does not fix issues on the first try, causing the tenants to have to continue calling/contacting office staff in order to get issues fixed. They also do not leave notes when they are in your apartment- so things are moved around and you have to call the office to see if they were in your place or if someone broke in.!! Very unprofessional staff and unwilling to correct any problems right away- they take there sweet time. I would not recommend this complex to anyone, nothing but a headache since day one.
We have been here for over 3 years. Prompt maintenance, nice workout center, elevators, dog friendly, great location, safe, beautiful indoor and outdoor pools. I'm not sure what more we could want.
I have been pleased with the apartment and staff. My only regret is that there is no laundry hook ups in the apartment as I am somewhat limited in my ability to get around and had I known before I moved that there were apartments with laundry in the unit I would have looked around a bit more.
I'm sitting here in 90 degree temperature indoors on a spring day. Their conditioning unit is so old that it still needs freon, and every summer we have to call in a maintenance order to have the freon refilled. This summer, the motor for the ac unit failed and its been days since they promised it would be fixed. The walls are paper thin, and a conversation is guaranteed travel within our living room. We have had nothing but problems since we moved in and would not recommend Claremont Apartments to a friend
