Property Ratings at Clocktower Place
unless you want to search for a parking spot for more than an hour that also , NON RESIDENTS USE AS WELL then this place is not the one for you. I thought non residents were towed after 9PM? that was clearly a lie. THEY LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING. GARAGE IS NOT $50. EVERYTHING THAT IS LISTED HERE IS A LIE. CLOCKTOWER IS A BIG LIE.
I could imagine another place to live, as if the property was not amazing enough Jennifer and the management team are amazing, they made our experience the best. If you are considering this place please do!
Great underground parking Great location to downtime nashua Great Staff Great Maintenance Good size living rooms, and bedrooms With the new road easy access to the highway Reasonably priced Gym/Indoor pool/Hottub. My girlfriend and I have lived at Clocktower going on 3 years now, on the 5th floor Phase 1 - We both love it, the staff are friendly and really do take care of you (i've seen them deal with really rude people and always keep it professional). We have never had an issues with maintenance they are always prompt; very efficient and do a great job. (They will even shampoo your carpets once a year at no cost.) The location is really nice, we enjoy morning walks before work (stopping off for coffee @ DD) which is only 15mins away, we are even more excited that Graffiti Paintbar is moving to main street. We have peeked in other apartments when they are empty and I think we are very lucky not to have any columns in ours.... everyone who visits us loves the space and the high ceilings are great! I've read some of the other comments on here and most are very exaggerated - Our heat bill last month was $12 - Granted we are on the fifth floor and probably get heat from below but even in the peek of summer with the AC I don't think our bill went over $70-$80. Our rent has increased 9% over 3 years which seems normal. If I had one complaint it would be very small - 1. Someone on the 3rd floor is a bad cook and keeps setting the fire alarm off! :) However it's a good chance to chat to your neighbors while waiting for the all clear. 2. As you walk into our apartment it's carpet (we have seen some that have a 5 x 5 vinyl flooring section) - we have an army of mats we try to use as you walk in but still manages to show it's age (dirt) more right by the door. Cheers
Clocktower apartments used to be a mill building from the 1800s. In the 80s it was gutted and renovated to be apartment buildings. This means there is a mix of old and new. When I was shown the apartment for the first time, I loved how there was lots of space. Big living room and bedrooms, can fit furniture and move around easily. Kitchen and bathroom are a bit small but still ok. Lots of counter space and cabinets in the kitchen. It comes with built in microwave, fridge, dishwasher, garbage disposal in sink. But, the appliances are from the early 90s and are in bad shape. Fridge is noisy and runs up the electric bill, does not have an automatic shutting door, have to push it shut hard or it can stay ajar and waste energy. They didn't make much effort cleaning the microwave before I moved in either, it was gross. AC/Heating is also built in and works well, has an air filter to boot. BUT you get billed extra for it even if you don't use it, and bills can vary wildly, from 30 one month to over 100 the next. On the rare occasion it fails they have radiator heaters they can give you until it is fixed. There are great views out the windows - if you are on the right side facing the river. If you are on the wrong side all you see is a big hill, a wall and old buildings across the parking lot. The surrounding neighborhood is okay, and one of the big benefits is that it is located near scenic trails through the woods called Mine Falls Park, one of my favorite places. There are a number of negatives as well. The management philosophy is to nickel and dime it's residents with fees for nearly everything. Like I mentioned the extra fee for ac/heating even if you don't use it. Water and trash are the only things they don't bill you extra for. There is an average gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi build in but you have to pay $25 a month to access it. If you want to have a cat that is an up front fee and a monthly fee. If you lose your key or laundry card that is a big fee. There are no assigned parking spots and if you have a guest park in the lot they have to move the car by 9pm or get towed for 200 bucks. There are parking garages nearby but then your guest has to get up before 9am on weekdays to move the vehicle. The building itself has water leaking issues. Sometimes during rainstorms brown rusty droplets fall from the ceiling and stain the rug or your furniture. Inside the ac/heating vent is a horror show of stagnant water, rust and mold.

One of the best features to the website is the option to review our property. We thank you for the time you took to do so. This tool serves as an inside view to what our residents are experiencing, management can then review and hopefully solve issues within our power. We are glad that the building size met your needs for the most part. I am sorry to hear you have/had troubles with your appliances. Management is open to assessing the condition of your kitchen appliances in order to make a determination for replacement. We understand that sometimes appliances do reach the end of their better lifespan. With respect to the microwave, I will address this concern with our cleaning staff so they can bring more attention to detail. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We want your home to be as near as perfect as possible when you take occupancy. Our views we offer are both city and river view. The river view is quite picturesque and our city view does provide quite a bit of natural sunlight on the most floors. The historical charm of this building is that it was re-purposed from a buzzing textile mill that functioned on hydro-power provided by Nashua River. This canal or "lock" as it was called, was once located in the parking lot in the front of the building - it is now our parking garage. Pretty great utilization of the space! The lower floors do have a view of the rolling hills that served as a barrier to this canal, but also gives a certain level of privacy to the apartments as well. Every resident has a different preference as to what is important to them when shopping for their new apartment home and as a result we are proud to be able to offer a wide array of space that suits most. Clocktower does have charges for various services we offer, and we have found that our costs are highly competitive with other properties in the area. The downtown area is a bustling area as the hub of some of the most fantastic events. Pair this with upcoming improvements parking sometimes does become a temporary inconvenience. These improvements have an effect on our parking as well and we do make every effort to keep our residents informed when these improvements will inconvenience them. We want to make all the possible options available to our resident in order to obtain a parking spot within the location of the building after coming home from a busy day. Our guest policy does allow for guests to visit and park on our surface lot until 9pm daily, any time after that we do encourage our residents to have their guests locate to the free parking lot on High Street. Our maintenance team highly encourages our residents to report any moisture issues they encounter whether from the interior of the apartment, (a/c condensation pan) or any exterior moisture concerns. It is a simple fix to clean out the a/c condensation pan, the surrounded affected areas, and treat with an algaecide tab in order to prevent the natural growth of any type of mildew. We ask our residents to place a work order in order to complete this process. We would be happy to discuss with you the instances regarding the concerns you have regarding ceiling spotting. Our work is never done as a management team and we are dedicated to improving your apartment home environment as it always benefits our residents as well as the community. Again, your feedback is greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to thoroughly expressing your concerns and the balance with the positive as well. Our phone number is 603-880-3961 if we can further help you with these concerns.
Clocktower Place is located in the heart of Nashua, the "Gate City" of New Hampshire. A short walk to the city's quaint Main Street offers residents an eclectic choice of restaurants (American, Thai, Greek, Seafood, Italian, classic diners, etc.) and the chance to shop in its small specialty, clothing, shoe and jewelry shops. CT place is ideally located for easy access to the Massachusetts border and many commuters find the living easy at CT place. You are also about a 20 minute drive from the Manchester, NH airport. Clocktower Place itself is a converted Mill building located on the Nashua River, and started life as a textile center manufacturing quality material and offering employment to many young men and women who came from the nearby farms to enjoy city life and good wages from the mid-1800s to the Great Depression. Its one, two, and three-bedroom apartments offer a variety of floor plans and views of either city or river views. The facility offers indoor parking, an Olympic pool, and a state-of-the-art gym, and laundry facilities on each floor. Throughout the year, management plans meet/greet functions where neighbors may enjoy entertainment and good food. Overall it is a good place to live. C'mon up to Nashua and check us out.

Imagine a panoramic view of a historical town with picturesque view from your apartment. The tranquility yet the ability to be in the excitement of city life gives it residents the best of two worlds. The professionalism of a staff who sincerely cares about their residents is second to none. The care and attention to detail of a well maintained apartment (the interior has modern appliances, spacious room with high overhead ceilings, soft carpet, superb bathroom)ensures one less thing to worry about when you are coming home. With a health club, swimming pool, garage parking and even a storage option, for those with extra items, this apartment allows me to truly relax. They even have 'concierge services' like dry cleaning pickup, grocery carts to assist you with bringing your groceries in, and package pickup if you are at work and unable to sign for your package from USPS, UPS or Fedex and or any other delivery services. On a personal touch, there is a laundry room on each floor with modern laundry equipment making cleaning easy. Clocktower place is truly a place in time that one will always want to be in, peaceful.

The apartment that I have leased for the last 5 years is a great value for the money. The staff are extremely competent and responsive to our needs. It is located in downtown Nashua within walking distance of all amenities. I would have given it a 5* rating if the GYM equipment had newer & well maintained equipment. All in all a good place to stay.

I have lived here since July of 2013 and I absolutely love it! The location is perfect if you want walking access to downtown and all it has to offer, library, city hall, post office, theater, city bus depot, nightclubs, wine bars, churches of various denominations, restaurants and quaint cafes that will please varied pallets and wallets alike. My apartment is a one bedroom with a large living/dining combo, a generous galley kitchen with an ample pantry. My room is very spacious allowing for a king sized bed, a tall-boy and a full sized desk with enough room to do a square dance left over! There are two large closets in the unit, as well as a linen/storage closet for all your extras and all of this in a beautifully restored mill building that boasts high ceilings and wonderful big windows. Whenever I entertain ,my friends and family all remark that it feels like they are in a classy hotel. The staff here is top notch and always eager to please its' residents, they offer 24 hour patrol in a security building that also houses a lap pool, hot tub, exercise/weight room just to name a few. I feel safe and well taken care of here and would recommend it to anyone, I hope to be here indefinitely as it meets and well exceeds all of my needs. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made!

When I first moved into this apartment I though for sure I wouldn't be here longer than 10 months. I didn't think I would like such a large building. Well I was wrong I love being here. The apartments are beautiful and each one is different and unique. The ceilings are all high which makes it seem larger and more open. Some even have sunrooms. The management staff is great. They take care of any problems immediately . They have cameras everywhere so you feel safe. Its conveniently located near downtown with great restaurants in walking distance. I love having the garage especially in the winter. We have an indoor pool, great gym, and convenient store. Everyone is very friendly . I have met so many new friends. I searched many apartments before making my decision. I am very happy I chose clocktower.

The industrial feel and unique characteristics of this historical Mill building at Clocktower Place blend the old with the new. The Nashua Manafacturing Company a textile company occupied the Mills from 1823-1945 and was later renovated to apartments offering 100 different floor plans (1-3 bedrooms). Clocktower Place is located on the Nashua River offering residents beautiful river views and also city-side apartments and views. The complex has an urban feel and is within walking distance to downtown Nashua for dining, local shopping, banking, public library and a summer farmers market. The openness and natural light in the main living space of the unit is created by the tall historic mill windows and high ceilings. Select apartment homes include exposed brick in the 3-season porch adding to the charm of this complex while other units offer loft space. Clocktower Place has an underground parking garage, on-site convience store, in-door swimming pool and on-site laundry. (additional cost) Our neighbors are wonderful and the management staff are very helpful. We are Happy to call Clocktower place our Home.

The apartment is spacious, heat/cool bills are pretty cheap so far, the apartment price is pretty reasonable (considering I use to live in Boston) and overall it's a nice place to live. Most of the neighbors have been pretty friendly and respectful. The office staff is pleasant and do try their best to help you when needed. I unfortunately have mixed results with the Maintenance. Most of the time things have been done at a reasonable amount of time. There is one person who always comes in and states there's nothing wrong. Then the good maintenance person comes in another day and fixes the problem. (This has happened more than once) But I wouldn't stress out about one bad penny. I had an issue with smoke coming into my apartment and they went above and beyond to make sure the problem was solved promptly. (THANKS MICHELLE) Plus, when we first moved in they were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay here would be great. FYI…. Watch out if you're on looking at an apartment on Clocktower 1 near the corner apartments. (Closest to Water St.) The noise on Thursday-Sunday from the near by club can be obnoxious especially if you need to get up early like I do. Maybe you won't care about hearing the base noise till 2 am. Depending on the day, some days are more annoying than others... but life goes on. All in all… it is a good place to live. GOOD LUCK Hope this helps! :) PS... This place is great for handling handicap accessibility. Elevators, all one floor, handicap spots and more…

Easy walk to downtown, many unique shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, on the edge of a very bad neighborhood. Units haven't been updated since they were built. Pretty clean, well maintained. Office staff is wonderful. Love the river view.

The amenities don't stop we have a convenient convenience store a beautiful Club house with a heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna's full bathrooms, ping pong table, full gym /weight lifting room. The office provides bulk mail service, dry cleaning, & house cleaning. Besides all that it's a great community and the people give you an option, If your outgoing and like to mingle there's people for that and if you're just a come and go kind of person nobody bothers you. The grounds and maintenance of the building are well kept. Oh I almost forgot we have underground parking, storage rooms, Two function rooms, Free community gatherings & security! my wife and i have lived here for a little over 2 years now. we had a house before. this place has underground parking so we do not have to run out and move our cars for the plow. when we have storms we do not even know it because this apartment is so quiet. there are over 800 people in this building and we can not believe how quiet this place is. we also have a pool, a store, and a gym. right outside the doors is the downtown area where we can really enjoy ourselves with restaurants, a farmers market and lots of community events. the building itself is always clean and the staff deals with any problems right away. my wife is very very happy here and does not expect to move ever again .

Living in Nashua for over a decade I am very familiar with the downtown area of unique restaurants, shopperies and thriving artisan culture all in walking distance of many parks to fish or kayak in, and with nature trails to walk or bicycle on. Clock tower apartments sit in the center hub of all this beauty and small city life. The apartment units themselves are not the typical boxed cookie cutter, white washed thin walled units. They are completely unique with interesting angles and floor plans. The high ceilings with huge windows spark creative possibilities when you hear that you are allowed to paint your walls your choice of color. For us the selling point of the unit itself was all the storage and the 4 season porch! The building is a renovated mill sitting along the river, and is incredibly maintained. Just this year new carpeting and paint graced the halls and all parking was seal coated. Speaking of parking, there are plenty of spots available but at times quite a walk is required and guests are not allowed to park on grounds after 9pm for this reason. While this rule is helpful to tenants it can be a hassle for their visitors. Underground key pass garage parking is an option at 25.00 monthly. Laundry rooms and trash chutes on every floor (WE LOVE THIS!) kept operational and clean. Tenents have a website to literally do everything on, from making payment to submitting a maintenance ticket or receiving a package delivery notification, even chatting with other tenants like a facebook page. The staff is incredible! this includes the security team that patrol the building and grounds. So friendly and helpful. The amenities are reasonably priced at 25.00 monthly for access to a weight room, cardio room, hot tub and heated pool; although, the pools temperature is inconsistent and at times too cold to swim in and the hot tub is more of a lukewarm tub lately. There are TVs in the cardio room but they are difficult to operate and I am not alone in struggling to operate them, often I ask others for help and they can not work the TVs either. The weight room has no TV. There is also changing /bathroom/shower/locker areas that have saunas in them (I have not used the sauna yet). These areas are all key pass protected, kept very clean but could use maintenance and some updating.Cats are welcomed, not just tolerated. As you may have guessed we LOVE it here! Everything far exceeds other apartment complexes in Nashua and surrounding areas.
Facts first, then opinions... BAD: -You will NOT be able to have visitors park on Clocktower property -Clocktower staff will robo-call and email you more than most internet spammers -There is a convenience store in the building - which is never open -During snow season, you'll have to move your car from the parking lot at 7am -There is never enough parking -Apartments are spacious, but poorly designed (i.e in my 2bd/2bth, the living room is 35'x15', while the kitchen is 3'x8' - same goes in the bedrooms/bathrooms) -There are two security guards (one 75ish and one 17ish) - either way the building lacks reasonable security features -The homeless congregate around the back of the building, where many can often be found sleeping or defecating -80% of the windows in your apartment will not open -There is an old man that wanders the halls, looking lost, who doesn't speak english or spanish GOOD: -Clocktower receives packages on your behalf, storing them under lock and key -You can pay rent online with the resident portal Overall, don't move here. It's fairly priced, but does not live up to what you would expect for the money. Some residents are nice (and normal) others vary from the kind who shouldn't be allowed near children to the kind that should be in retirement homes. People warned me when I moved in, but I didn't listen and here I am. Consider this your warning.

Thank you for your review. With regard to parking at Clocktower, visitors can park on the lot until 9PM nightly. After 9PM parking on the surface lots is reserved for our residents. It is important that our residents have parking available. We do have a covered parking garage available for an additional monthly fee. Snow removal can be challenging in a downtown location. We do use our automated system to courtesy call our residents and remind them to move when we clear snow from the lots. Residents can adjust how the system notifies them by adjusting their notification preferences in the resident portal. Clocktower has controlled access doors so you do have to swipe an electronic key for access. We have courtesy patrol guards on the property nightly to assist in monitoring the building, package pick up and dry cleaning. While we cannot completely control the panhandling in the downtown Nashua area, we continue to work with the Nashua Police when we receive any reports from residents. We have no problem issuing a no trespass order to any panhandlers found on Clocktower property. Our windows are the original mill windows, if you need assistance with windows in your apartment, don't hesitate to contact the management office at 603-880-3961 and we would be happy to assist you. Thanks again for your review and do let us know what we might be able to do to make your stay a pleasant one.
This is a well cared for place to live, just close enough to downtown to walk to restaurants, cafes, and great little shops. There's no excuse for not getting your daily dose of exercise and fresh air with walking and bike trails very close by. Also there is a swimming pool and fitness room in the building. Communication between staff and residents is excellent.
My family and I have lived at Clocktower Place for almost 3 years and we love it. I love the cathedral ceilings/tall windows in the apartment, and despite the building having hundreds of units, it is very quiet and the neighbors are very respectful. I love that garage parking is an option, and that maintenance is very quick to address any issues we have. Everyone who works in the main office are fantastic, so genuinely friendly/kind, and very accommodating. The building is conveniently located to downtown which is a plus. It is well worth the monthly rent to live here.

This complex by far is the every best. We have electronic pads for entry exterior doors. We have a Security Patrol for Nights and Weekends. A full Health Club well equipped and maintained. A Lap Heated Indoor Swimming Pool, a Hot Tub, which also is well maintained. A great Office and Maintenance Staff, always helpful with personal and pleasant attitudes no matter what is happening. Plus a very clean and well kept building inside and outside , by great Janitorial staff here working days a week to keep up the facility cleanliness and appearance. All of the above and a secure Interior Parking Garage for automobiles along with electronic entrance entry pads.

I live at 1 ClockTower Place in Nashua, NH. The facility is strategically well-situated on the south side of the Nashua river, two blocks from the center of town. I can walk or bike almost everywhere I need to go. It also borders on Mine Falls Park with miles of trails for running and biking. Every floor has plenty of laundry and trash facilities. The staff is incredibly pleasant and helpful; they'll do a number of little extras that make life simple there; for example, they will watch and move your car if necessary while traveling, hold your mail, alert you when you have a package. Maintenance issues with the apartment are addressed quickly and efficiently. Management sponsors several social events throughout the year as well as a facility-wide web site with bulletin boards; great ways to get to know your neighbors. They also accept cats for an additional monthly fee which was a must-have for me. My two bedroom, two bath apartment is 1300 square feet on the top (5th) floor facing south. The 10 ft high windows and 30X10 sun room provide incredibly efficient solar heat in the winter. Unbelievably, I needed to turn the heat on only twice during this past, brutal winter. The large open windows and venetian blinds keep things tolerable in the heat of summer as well. The facility is a converted mill building so the ceilings are very high; up to 20 feet which as a musician, I absolutely love for their wonderful acoustics. My rent is only a few pennies over a dollar per square foot; very reasonable. There are only a couple minor issues: The facility has a gym and underground parking, but each requires a separate, reasonably substantial monthly fee. I personally think the gym should be included in the base rent. There is also no way to grill outdoors... really miss that. Overall I am very pleased with ClockTower Place and give it 4.9 out of 5 stars.

Thank you for that wonderful review! Our community health club does have a nominal charge and this cost generally goes toward the upkeep and functioning of our 23 meter lap indoor pool. We love our resident feedback and if we can be of service, please don't hesitate to contact our management office. 603-880-3961
Nice location... Except the tree streets being so close. But you can walk to most of the best restaurants around. The interior is very dated. It looks like the late 80's throughout most of the building. If they kept it like a mill style building with exposed brick and wood... It would be amazing.

Thank you for taking the time to review our community. We appreciate the feedback from our residents regarding how we can improve our much loved building.
we have been living in clock tower phase 1 for over 2 years now. be honest with you, I can't say anything negative about it. the management is very helpful on all my calls and concerns. I love the location right in center nashua downtown, it had surrounded by many great restaurants. mine fall park was only 10 min walk from the building. we are in the first floor, summer time is very cool and winter time is very warm. so did save money for utilities. don't forget the building itself are over 150 years old, yes can bring some updates, if hardwood floor or granite counter is available will make it prefect! we have been very happy stay in this place. very satisfied !
When we first moved in the apartment was awesome. It's within walking distance to main street which has lots of restaurants and little shops. It's close to the highway and even to a park! The rooms are huge, there are tons of nice sized closets, everything was clean and we even got a sun-room! While we have had no major issues, the issues that we have had have not been handled well by the office and maintenance staff. It took 5 months to fix a leaking sound in our ceiling and I can still hear it occasionally. They have fixed other issues, but they are slow. We had a window pane popped out of place for 10 months and since it is fixed by an outside company during the summer every year, it had to be secured with duct tape for all that time. While maintenance has been slow, they are quick to come to the apartment when you have an emergency and they are very polite. The front desk staff, Jen, is fantastic and know a majority of the residents names and where they live which makes package pickup super quick and easy. The gym, pool and underground garage are very convenient but also come at an extra price. We'll be signing the lease for another year.

Jen is terrific! It sounds that you have had some challenges with maintenance timing and turn around. We would like the opportunity to speak with you regarding the service you experience. Our staff does try to accommodate the residents with the requests they can handle with their level of expertise. Our windows are part of the historic charm, but have proven to require a little more TLC and each year we are faced with possible tweaking to continue correcting the problem. This is why we refer this type of project to an outside expert in the field of historic windows. It sounds like otherwise you do enjoy your apartment home. Again, we would love to hear from you and discuss what we can do to better serve our residents by improving an area that may need some polishing. 603-880-3961

The location of our apt is very convenient to downtown Nashua. We relocated here last fall from a small VA town and are excited by the variety of dining choices, plus the ability to walk to the public library and senior center as well as downtown shops. The office and maintenance staffs are always courteous and responsive to service requests. We enjoy the view from our 5th floor window and love that we live in a re-purposed mill building in a historical district. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice of living arrangements.

Probably the best affordable apartments by Maine Street Nashua. Grounds are kept clean and the community is very friendly in saying Hello in passing and holding doors open when you are carrying something. Neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves, you can hear noises through the walls sometimes but never turns into a problem. Winter can be annoying with moving of vehicles for plowing. Apartment rooms are spacious (2 bedroom at least). Carpet could be better they went environmentally friendly with recycle material for carpeting, but it doesn't feel the greatest walking on or sitting on. Kitchen appliances in my apartment are seriously outdated, but still work perfectly fine - just looks old! Utilities are awesome! Never ran heat once in two years during the winter and even opened the windows some days to let cold air in! The A/C is used during the summer on humid days, but that's expected in any apartment. Fees - cat fee is not terrible, but should be free with a deposit really. Garage fee is way too high, it has doubled in monthly cost since I have lived here. Overall, great place to live in the city of Nashua. Walking distance to anywhere near Maine St.
