Property Ratings at Cloisters and Foxfire Apartments
Have lived here for over a year now and will be leaving once our lease is up. When we moved in, we had a wonderful experience. The gentleman that helped with our application and getting us in, went above and beyond. Sadly, he left the company a few months later, and it hasn't been the same since. Management is never available to talk to. Would try calling for an entire day straight, and never get a hold of someone. When you do get a hold of someone, they are very short with you, to get you off the phone. You can try e-mailing them, but they don't believe in getting back to you, until at least 24 hours later or longer. They have had a revolving door of individuals working and leaving shortly after. Says a lot about management. Maintenance is the one saving grace here. They respond to work orders in a very quick manner. Have never had an issue with them at all, in fact, some will make an effort just to say hello and ask if anything is needed. Security is none existent. My wife's car was broken into and almost stolen, as were other cars in the complex. Several times, on our ring bell, we have noticed individuals just walking around in the middle of the night, trying to open random car doors. When asking about the security measures to the Management, they said that there was nothing that they can do about it, other than the residents forming a watch program. Don't bother going to the pool area during the summer. Last summer, they locked the pool for periods of time, due to kids 'damaging' the area. There is no supervision or accountability. (more of this is on the parents then on the complex, but still) Management appears to want to do the bare minimum and just take money. If it weren't for the maintenance here, this would easily be a 1 star review. In short, if you are in a pinch and need to find a place to call home, this isn't your worse option, but there are several other locations out there that will be better for you.
Moved here 2019 into a 2bed it started out rough. Had a major leak and camel cricket infestation. Took almost a year and a half for the crickets to go away and I still see one every now and then. Maintenance had always been quick to respond. Only had 1 issue for awhile. My storage door rotted at the same time as a few other residents. My water heater being in there made it to qhere there was no insulation during the winter causing $300+ power bills. They couldn't replace the door due to covid and supplies. Took them forever to only compensate me a little on my rent for that. The company owning the property changed and they have filled up the pot holes in the parking lot and fixed up the pool. The staff is pretty friendly and the amount of space you get is alot compared to other apartments. The main complaint is these are old apartments so the power bill is high. $140s warm and $250s in the winter. Luckily you don't have to pay for water. This place is not that bad especially if you get the new renovated apartments.
Stay away from this place, we have been here . Nothing gets repaired , the office sucks in all aspects and they change the last number in the contact when they have out papers so that you can’t contact them. When addressed it’s a “mistake” . This was the worst place I’ve stayed along with others telling me the same
The first terrible sign I saw when I moved in was ROACHES crawling on the wall. It took about 2 months to get rid of them. Gabby, Mike & the property manager have to be the worst people you can deal with. These people LOST my deposit that I handed to them!!!! Turn around and don't look back!!
When we first started to move in we had nothing but issues!! Set our move in date and was forced to rent a storage unit for all of our belongings because they changed the move in date on us twice!! I was 8.5 months pregnant and that was terrible! Through the entire 3 years we lived there it was a headache!! Leaking ceilings, mold, leaking toilets and super cheap carpet that messes up with just vacuuming. When we moved out we followed all guidelines given to us and have been charged for a the month of June when we moved out in May! And charged $150 for carpet repair. Taking our deposite and leaving us owing over $200. Fantastic! Office staff are so rude and you can never get In touch with them to figure anything out. I must say, I became friends with the maintainence guys bc they had to come out so much, and I believe they did the best they could with what they had, but this place is overall crappy and no one is happy living there! Several of our neighbors felt the same way! U kinda get stuck there!!! Save your time!!!!!!!
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! This is the WORST place My family has ever lived. Not only is the office staff rude, lazy, and incompetent but so is their “maintenance” crew. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional and act like residents are bothering them by calling the office with simple questions and maintenance requests. Our ac/heating unit has broken multiple times and we were left in 85+ degree heat inside our unit for over 4 days. Maintenance has “fixed” our shower 4 times and it’s still broken. We couldn’t even use it for months at a time! Not to mention our average electric bill is $400+ and they refuse to replace any of the old and broken appliances or even look into the issue. We have a balcony but can’t use it because it is not maintained and commonly infested with spiders for most of the year. At one point maintenance/office lost their copy of our key and had to borrow ours to make a copy! We have been here almost 2 years and relieved that our lease is almost up. Save yourself the headache and don’t sign with Harvest properties. P.S.-Gabby & Mike in the office are exceptionally awful!
I relocated from Colorado and this was my first time in NC. The previous places I went to kept giving me the run around, it was awful. I was referred by a friend of mine that resides on the Foxfire complex. The staff in the office were wonderful! My credit isn't great but they were able to patiently sit with me and explain everything in a way I can understand. You can tell the girls in the office love their job and their residents. They always try to go the extra mile and it is very much appreciated!!!!!
This place gave me a chance when no one else would because I have no rental history. My apartment is very big and I love having a walk in closet.
i fell in love with this apartment complex on apartments.com but once i went to visit i was heartbroken what is pictured here is not at all what you will see if you take a visit. The staff was also quite rude when i asked for a tour. As my boyfriend and i was walking out of the leasing office a resident informed us that they do not fix things that are broken and they do not respond to residents. I am really upset about the quality of these buildings. if you want to live in an unkept apartment complex this is the one for you.
Worst place i have ever lived. The people in the office are the fakest people i have ever met. First i paid my deposit and 1st months rent like 3 weeks in advance.I showed up on my move in date with a full uhaul and my apartment was given away and i had to downgrade, being that i already packed my previous home i had too. I constantly had to call the office if i had any issues. The Spackle on the ceiling kept chipping and falling off and they never fixed it. I was literally never home and i always kept my thermostat turned up in the summer and down in the winter and my electric bill was always $200-$300 for a single guy. And after i left they used power under MY NAME,and refused to pay it!!!!! Over priced and poor management, save your self the trouble and not come here!!!
I moved here about two months ago. The staff was friendly helping me to get settled in. I have to say I looked at several apartments in High Point before deciding. The Cloisters definitely has the most space. There is plenty of parking and overall the neighborhood seems quiet. I had to call maintenance once because my gas wasn't on, but they came immediately and were very helpful and friendly. The pool isn't open yet but the manager explained they are having it redone and will leave it open later to make sure we have plenty of time to use it. Over all I have had a great experience and would recommend living here.
This is a great community with excellent staff. They are prompt, courteous, and kind. The floor plans are very spacious and the building is beautiful inside and out....I love living here because I feel safe knowing there is security around....
I have lived in 7 different apartment communities since moving to Guilford County. This has by far been my worst experience. I accidentally wrote 2014 on a check for my rent in 2015 and now the property refuses to take a check. I have to go out of my way to get a money order every month. The carpet in my apartment was dirty upon move in and even though the kitchen appliances were "new" before the end of the 1st month my refrigerator had a leak and my dishwasher was no longer working, then it took over 2 weeks to get someone to check on wither problem. Also, be sure to check any contact information that is given to you because I received the wrong email in my leasing packet and then received another incorrect email upon calling the office. While here I have seen 4 families, all of whom had lived here 3 years, decide to move due to the rudeness and uncooperative behavior of the new management. Please save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
I live here on the cloister side of the community. The 3bd/2ba is super spacious! The master bed room is double the size of any in the local market! The bathrooms are a little tiny but they work well! The vanity lighting is great for anyone who loves to either stare at themselves or do makeup in! There's an abundance of closet space, two walk-ins!!! Even the coat closet is one!! The kitchen is nicely done! There's plenty of cabinet space as well! I love the neighborhood! It's quite during the day, plenty of kids in the evening, but they're not loud! Conveniently next to highway 311! Straight shot to either sides of town! Overall it's a lovely place to stay! I highly recommend stopping in to take a tour! The office staff is super sweet! Very inviting group! :)
I recently moved to the Apartments, they were the best people ever I was going to hard times and they gave me advise and support. My apartment is beautiful new carpets and appliances, love my dishwasher. As far as the price I couldn't believe it and on top of everything they gave me $300 off my first month. I highly recommend this place to all my friends at Church.
