Perched on Maine’s beautiful coastline, Scarborough is a small city just south of Portland. The ocean, hills, and forests of the region provide endless opportunities for outdoor recreation: fishing, hiking, and skiing are popular here, and there’s even a surf shop in town. Functioning as a mostly residential suburb of the neighboring city, Scarborough’s landscape is defined by tranquil neighborhoods spread amongst the lush forests.
Rental options come in a broad variety of options, with numerous upscale houses and condos available from the center of town out into the surrounding countryside. In addition to the close proximity to Portland, living in Scarborough provides easy access to Interstate 95 and Portland International Jetport, making it a perfect spot for frequent travelers.

Property Ratings at Coach Lantern
These are older apartments that need a lot of work updating. The appliances are on the cheaper side and the stove is nowhere near level. The kitchen is downright tiny and a chore for more than one person to be in there at a time. The heating system does not reach the second floor and the electric heat is not encouraged to use due to price. There is a large bug problem with ants crawling out of the attic crawl space. The vent on top of the building turns constantly with a grinding grating sound that can be felt in the walls. Nothing dries in the bathroom and mold constantly forms even when leaving the fan on. Maintenance is quick to resolve any issues, but there are a lot of issues that come up. The apartments are spacious at least, but I do not feel they are worth the cost for the amenities that you do receive.
Looks nice and clean and is close to my job place
