Property Ratings at Coastal Village
To Whom It May Concern, I am the second longest running resident of Coastal Village Apartments in Fort Myers, in my 5th year of residence, and signed up for the 6th year. During this period, I have witnessed three different managements in charge of my residential complex. By far the best one has been the current management run by Office Manager Cheryl and supported by her team (Cameron, Conner, Derek, Anthony). This team has given us an example of leadership and hands-on management unparalleled in quality as far as my experience goes. There have been and there will be many challenges and problems with running Coastal Village Apartments, mostly due to careless residents who don't sort their issues well and dump their problems on someone else. Past managements were distant and halfhearted about their job. Cheryl's management has not been this way. Moreover, her team has put together the best facility maintenance crew we've had. All kinds of mundane problems are effectively dealt with, things such as loose garbage, broken installations repair, cleaning premises, resident infighting, weather issues, overdue rent, facility maintenance, unauthorized parked vehicle towing, criminal activity, postal packages collection, etc. It's all because they care. I hope for Cheryl's management to continue doing the great job in keeping Coastal Village Apartments safe and livable. Thank you, Alexander

It’s the cheapest place in town for a reason. trash valet doesn’t come get trash, rats, roaches, dirty, everything breaks.

We are disappointed to learn of your experience here at Coastal Village, but will take this opportunity to improve.
Coastal village is an absolute joke. Roches, black mold, people throwing their trash all over your front door. No help from management for my roommates that let their pets go wild and smoke an incessant amount of weed. Please, you will regret it.

Hi, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you had at our location.
I’ve live here for a year and management had just changed when I moved in and had now changed again. The price point is great and is accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. The maintenance staff doesn’t always fix the problems in your apartment but will tell you they’ve been fixed. During covid nothing was open as far as amenities and the price of the apartment didn’t change. And the air conditioning is better in A than D
When I went to look at it for my college student all the staff were extremely kind and helpful. They answered all my questions and made my applying super easy and stress free.
They are good for anyone in college who needs a place to stay. Don’t expect it to be “luxury”.these rooms are old and have been used by college kids so they are not the best. They will tell you one thing regarding your payments then charge you another.?? only positive would be the price because you won’t find apartments at that price.
The staff here does not care about residents. I went almost three weeks without AC. Bugs filled my apartment due to pest control being ignored. There are no cameras watching apartments or in parking lots. Hassle to get any help. Management is rude. Worst living experience I have had. Lietty the manager should replaced.
The staff here are outstanding. The phone experience is consistently professional., and welcoming. It’s always a pleasure when you encounter a business that believes in customer service/satisfaction. They’re really nice people!
Everyone and everything is great. Very nice well kept area and wonderful maintenance team. The staff is so polite and always happy to help you. The apartment is great for what you pay.
Good customer Service. They have been very helpful whenever I call.
Within the past few months since management change experience has been nothing but a hastle and disappointment. Management used to be caring and it really felt like a community of people looking out for your best interest and it is nothing like that anymore just corporate takeover with people that only pretend to care and look out for only themselves. Maybe it’ll change but I doubt it since I’ve already made mention of it and all I got was nothing but fake or nonexistent aid. Sometimes the sense of community is what keeps people around.
Coastal was bought out by new owners and it has been nothing but worse since then. Can never get a hold of the property managers up front. Have been trying to for months and still no email or call back. You also never get a heads up when something will be getting done to your apartment. Today got a new fridge had no idea. It was my roommate in eyes jobs to put everything back in our refrigerator and none of us were home. Ridiculous!!!!!! Do not recommend!!!! Roommate and I have also had to deal with bedbugs more than once
The staff does not care about their tenants. They make your life miserable. My roommate had her girlfriend move in with us so there were 5 people in our apartment. My roommate and her girlfriend were classic domestic violence: fighting, screaming, alcohol, drugs, cops were called, etc. My other three roommates and I notified the front office and the only thing they offered was mediation. They did nothing to remove the girl not on the lease or impose any infraction for danger their relationship placed on the rest of us.
I rented a room in a 4/4 at this establishment. About 3 weeks into their lease one of the rooms where subleased to a 31 year old. THEY NEVER tell you this is something that could happen. Be aware!!!!!!! that anyone that qualifies can live with your child regardless of their age!!!! This individual as my son stated was "to him self not friendly and that it was strange living with someone older." A week ago he took his life, not one word from Costal Village to inform me or any other parent of what had happen. I called to speak to the General Manerger (Amy) of the property as to how they could allow a an adult to move in with children in a place that advertizes them selves as student housing. She told me that it was my job to read the fine print. I said NO, you should included that information with the tour of the pool, gym and game room. THEY ARE NOT STUDENT HOUSING. As I pressed her on the safety of my son and the lack of their concern she said I had raised my voice, wished me a good day and hung up on me. Yes I raised my voice, a 31 year old man was living with 3 19 year olds. It is your job to place your residence accordingly. If this is what they are doing are children are not safe!!!!!
Do not live here unless you want to be nickeled and dimed for every small expense this run down place has to offer. There are better apartments coming around the area. The management will charge you hidden fees and when you call to ask for the reason behind these fees they will say they are too busy to talk to you. Unprofessional place, do not send your college students here.
I just renewed my lease. The new management is really helpful and they have made upgrades to the gym and apartments...
I like how close Coastal is to FGCU. The shuttle is convenient. The apartments were updated with wood planking so I'm staying until graduation.
I came to coastal with the full intent of loving everything. Unfortunately I got paired with a roommate who does drugs and whenever I walk up to my building it smells like weed. It seems like a lot of people party here and feel like because it is of campus housing it is ok to do a lot of illegal things.
Did not enjoy my stay at coastal village apartments I live there all last year loud trashy apartments with poor Wi-Fi. they decided to start the upgrading The units while we were still living in them at eight in the morning. Not happy with it and the upkeep on the place. Dirty loud cheap Apts Would not recommend. Good luck though
