Property Ratings at Cobblestone Grove Apartment Homes
Got keys to move in on September 14 2022 and the apartment was trash. Maintenance team should all be fired along with property management. They didnt do any work to make apartment presentable for a new tenant. Now im screwed and have invested too much money in something thats not wat i signed up for. And meanwhile No one there has a salutation for me. I literally have to move my belongings back into storage.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about your experience. This will allow me to provide feedback to my staff on what an apartment home should look like prior to a resident getting keys.
Infested with roaches!!!!!!!! Do not move here unless you want to lose all your belongings. This move was a complete nightmare and traumatized for the 3 months I lived here. They are very bad with communicating and shows no empathy. I lost everything due to the infestation. Pest control did no wonders. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!

I gave this place one star because you cant give no stars. The price is to high and the place is dirty and nasty and infested with bugs and the office manager does nothing about it. Management sucks if you locking for a place to move don't move here save your money. It is not worth it.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I’ve been here just about a year and the experience has NOT been great ! I’ve had problems left and right ! With roaches ! And maintenance being completely lazy ! And now I’m more upset because I’ve NEVER been late and I had ONE issue with my bank and caused me to have to reprocess my rent payment AND GUESS WHAT ! Cobblestone charged me a $175 late fee on top of a return fee of $25 after I already explained what happened and they told me it should be no issue! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! On top of them now sending a letter with the rent going up $100 and if I don’t sign the new lease they are charging an additional $600 each month on top of the rent to go month to month! And now they are going on year two here of NO SWIMMING POOL ! Shame on you Cobblestone ! -a current resident

I haven't even lived here for a whole year, I have lived in some crappy apartments before and I can say this is by far the worst. First day I moved in, I saw a roach, called the office the next day and they stated they will have someone out by that Friday to spray. They came to spray but only a few spots in the kitchen. It continued to get worse and I seriously had pest control out every week, soon to find out the whole apartment complex is infested. I have had numerous conversations back and forth with them about the pest getting taken care of but honestly they don't care, the pest control would just come in and spray the kitchen and leave. I was always telling them that they need to spray the whole complex. I have emails back and forth with them the whole time I have been here, I claimed that I was willing to stay somewhere for a few days in order for them to bomb the apartment, they claim they wouldn't be able to do so because the bugs will run to other apartments, I then requested the whole complex to be bomb because they are out in the hallways and have pics to prove it. I was told that since no one else is complaining that they will not do that. The appliances are so outdated that I have been dealing with problems and they refuse to fix them, my dishwasher never drained completely and would start leaving mold on the inside, I spoke with them about fixing it and claimed they have one waiting for replacement but since I have roaches then that will need to be taken care of first, I moved in June 2020 and the dishwasher issue was reported in September....... that should show you that the bugs were never taken care of, it is now may 2020 and I am still dealing with the infestation even after I bombed the apartment myself, I still haven't gotten rid of the problem. Everything is falling apart in the complex as well and never can find somewhere to park. It's horrible and I will not be renewing my lease.

Moved here in August from Michigan. The apartment its self is great, love the layout and the darker cabinets and appliances. Not sure if that is in every apartment, but it definitely makes it feel homier than those white and pine cabinets I've had all through college. Great for a starter apartment or saving up for a house of some kind for a few years. Washer Dryer hookups, and dishwasher are a HUGE bonus for us. Our rent is 875 for the two bed one bath, I think it's called the Woodland. I believe 70 of that is the water fee? Pretty cheap rent compared to others in the area so I expected some issues but we haven't had too many. Only negative I would say is that the maintenance is not the best. There should be some closer inspections between tenants, our dishwasher was full of mold when we moved in because someone poured grease down the drain before they moved out. Our vents and air conditioning filter area were bad. My roommate went inside and found toys and mold from previous tenants. The filter was shriveled up into a ball in a puddle of water. It wasn't great since I have such bad allergies. Those were the only two issues we've had since we've moved in so far though. They just hired a new guy when we moved in and he has been our go to with complaints, he's been great! So hopefully they are improving on that, maybe there just wasn't enough staff before? I haven't really had any complaints myself about the management like others on here I have seen, so maybe the staff causing issues left or were fired. No issues on that for us so far. In conclusion. Pros - great layout - homey kitchen finishes - washer dryer hook up - dishwasher - great balcony with sliding glass door and tall storage that can fit a hanging bike outside Cons - a lot of outlets are very loose and don't support any plugs without them falling out - not thorough maintenance checks before new tenants arrive - general maintenance follow through concerns
I have been here for almost a year now, the first few months were cool, they do good with working with you when it comes to certain things but i have had a bug problem in my apartment for the past 8 months now, it started around Dec. and got worst around March i called and pest control came out only 2 TIMES after i was told constantly that i would be out on a list for them to come weekly until i ask to be removed.... you think that happened NO!!! maintenance is good but not GREAT i have had a sink issue and was without a sink for over a month in my bathroom and my vanity area sink was not working so i had to wash my hands and brush my teeth in the kitchen. They finally came and fixed the sinks but the one in the bathroom was put back in but the top part of the sink does not line up with anything and still has yet to be replaced or reached out to me about what is going on. Walls very thin, you can hear everything literally, no one picks up their dig poop, parking is horrible, the door security does not even work like it should, like i stated its just good enough for you to have a roof over your head
So there are both good and bad things about this place, and overall I am content. BUT there are enough not so great things to make me want to leave an honest review for those of you who are looking. I’ve been here around 5 months and am in a one bedroom unit. Pros: good price, great layouts and floor plans, laundry rooms your own unit, storage closets on your porch, fast maintenance response, a few attentive and helpful staff members (note I only said a few....), large doorways (super nice for moving furniture!), everyone keeps to themselves and I’ve not had any altercations it issues with neighbors, and everything DoorDash’s to this complex which is a nice bonus! Cons: NO PARKING AFTER 5:30!!!!!!!! If I get off work and am a slightest bit late home (I’m talking 5:30/5:45) I have to park between 3-5 buildings away! It is absolutely ridiculous! This is an issue every single day!, some of the staff doesn’t care at all and are the least helpful people I have ever met, extremely expensive mandatory trash fee ($22 a month!!!)BUT trash is constantly everywhere, dog poop all over (the neighbors dog above me has pooped on my deck twice now...) thin walls so you can hear everything, unnecessary fees on everything (I had to pay a feee for accidentally paying my rent twice! I told them not to return the money and just keep it for the following month, but they refused and charged me $75 for the return ??), lots of maintenance issues (though they are usually quickly resolved), they have cool security locks for the entrance but mine has been broken since before I came here and they have yet to fix it.
The upkeep and maintenance was very slow if non-existent. The management was combative, and not helpful. Bottom line, don't move there. Also read the other reviews, the good ones are written by their management staff!!
I will say in it's defense this place started off being an okay place to live and only got progressively worse as time went on. I could not wait to get out of that place!! It seems more of a trash hole then anything else! The front door to the complex was always broken most of the time, service took forever and communication with management was horrible. Don't live here unless it's the last place you have to go. Also you're paying way more than what you get.
Maintenance is poor, and appartment upkeep is bad. When we moved in we have and still have problems with the sliding doors. We have ants and spiders, probably due to earlier water damage. Manager doesnt take ownership for problems and is typically rude!
After moving in to this apartment there were tons of maintenance requests that needed addressed. It was almost impossible to get the staff to come fix anything. Sometimes we would have to wait up to a month with me calling the front desk several times a week to get something basic fixed. The staff has been rude and unhelpful. I have been here for almost a year and when we first moved in I put in a maintenance request to have the outlets in are master bathroom looked at because they weren’t working. Almost a year later and they have not been fixed. Pretty sure they forgot about it. Avoid this apartment complex at all costs.
Spent 3 months trying to figure out why 2 brand new driers wouldn't work. They came back and said because your new dryer doesn't work with 35 ft vent pipes from the 1980's. We asked them to work with us and to maybe move to another unit and they said sure for $350. The buildings are not well maintained, their service has been horrible, and they really don't care about their tenants, even at their corporate level. Any apartment but these!
Management has been horrible since we moved in. They took over a month to get anything addressed in our apartment, if it ever got done at all, with at least one reminder from us a week. Our neighbors smoked so much it began entering our apartment and making our belongings smell as well. Management addressed this by sending out one single small notice and that was the only time this was addressed despite our multiple complaints. People parked anywhere they wanted, when spots were full in the front of the building they would park next to the entrance to the parking lot (not in a spot) blocking traffic and reducing visibility to the entrance ramp. A few months before moving out another resident found bedbugs in their apartment, the complex then tried to scam us out of thousands of dollars by stating we had started the infestation when Terminix (their contractor) never found any evidence of bedbugs in our apartment. Highly suggest avoiding this apartment complex.
They charge an abundance of needless fees to nickel and dime their tenants. Staff and maintainance are incompetent. There were many maintenance issues with the apartment when me moved in and had to constantly call to have things fixed. We didnt even get a mail key for the first 2 month. The office staff had to keep coming over and opening the mailbox for me. If you pay your rent even 1 day late, the late fee is $160. Avoid at all cost!
This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in and I have lived in college apartments. I didn't listen to all the other bad reviews about this place originally and that was the biggest mistake I have ever made. They lie about their prices, their management is a nightmare, truly awful, and they take 2 weeks to fix any issues. When we first moved in, the apartment was not in move in condition at all. It took them 2 months to finally get it up to par with what they present to you at signing. I say this with true concern for the reader, make sure you really really look in to the SPECIFIC APARTMENT YOU ARE MOVING INTO with a white glove and for every single charge to be reviewed with management and RECORD ALL YOUR CONVERSATIONS WITH MANAGEMENT. To avoid having to do any of that, I highly, HIGHLY suggest moving in with your parents before considering moving here.
This by far is the worst place I have lived. Management is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. They genuinely don't care about their residents and the people who live in the apartment complex harass their neighbors. I have lived here for not even two whole months and I have felt harassed and scared to even leave my apartment because I was scared for my life. Management did not care about my safety at all. Its terrible and giving them one star was generous because they deserve none.
I have lived here for over 7 years and continue to love it here. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They have made sure my needs were met ASAP! And my apartment is cozy and updated with all new appliances, lighting and flooring. Now I'm just waiting for the pool to open soon!! :)
This is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The office staff is incredibly unhelpful and uncaring. My problems began the day I moved in. They didn't bother cleaning/fixing the unit prior to our move in. This was over 8 months ago and two concerns still haven't been addressed. A few weeks after move in, the air conditioner broke. That took almost 2 weeks to fix even though they had brand new AC units on site (at least that's what we were told). A couple weeks later our hot water heater went out. Rather than replacing the unit, they kept "fixing" it. About a month and 4 maintenance calls later, they finally replaced the hot water heater. The next day the new hot water tank flooded our hallway (they came and fixed that one within one day!). Another problem I have had is with the mailboxes. They are locked mailboxes that require a key to open. We recently had trouble with our lock; apparently the lock is broken to where keys will not longer open it. We reported that over 2 weeks ago and the lock still hasn't been replaced. I just went to the office today asking them if I'll ever be able to check my mail again. They admit that they have had the mailbox locks in for a few days now but since it isn't a priority, they aren't going to come fix it until (maybe) next week. In the mean time I guess I still can't check my mail... Strongly recommend not living here until management and maintenance get their game together. We will most definitely not be renewing our lease.
The office is very slow and shows no since of urgency in urgent situations. I moved in in October and still waiting on things requested from move in. It seems like it take 2 months or more to get simple things ordered or requested. Maintenance damages things as they so called fix things and then leave the trash for the tenant to clean up. They can be friendly but I think very uneducated. If I wanted to move to the hood I would have moved to the hood. The office doesn't call back all the time when messages are left. The office doesn't call at all about things that are important. The complex has water leak and pipe issues. Another tenant informed me when my apartment flooded after 3 months on a lease that a pipe or something bust or happens every December. The sign states Luxury apartments and they may seem luxury but they are not. I am very disappointed that I put my hard earned money into this place. I also contacted the Board of Health and the rep was very familiar with this place and states been out there several times about issues. Look past here and keep going to another place.
The rental price seemed perfect for us while my boyfriend was in school but we pay closer to the upper 700s for our one bedroom. The paint job was terrible when we moved in, cabinets and molding and doors were covered in paint that shouldn't have been there. We've had issues with all of our appliances. We've had horrible leaks in our laundry room, complete water outages and one of our pipes in the laundry room is literally held together by ducktape. Maintenance is usually very friendly and helpful but the staff that runs everything else is horrible to work with. This apartment was just one big disappointment.
Me and my friend were looking for a place to live and she knew someone who lived in the complex so we talk to the people who were really nice at first that was until we actually moved in, the first couple of weeks were nice getting settled in. But the we started having maintance issues, her (my roommate) door fell off the hinges and knocked her out she told me she's was unconcious for several minutes, the we started to get a leak in the guest bathroom they told me about it on June 1 and didn't come to "fix" it until the last day of June, mind you that what they did didn't work so they came back again some time in July (I think mid) and critized me and my roommate for not having enough furniture and something about our dogs getting into the trash (they are puppies, they get into stuff) when asked about the shower the reason why they were suppose to be there I got nothing. A month goes by and I think the problem is fixed until at about 10 o'clock at night someone is banging on our door telling us there was a leak, now at this point me and my roommate are furious this has been going on since June and it was mid September, they set up a day they were going to come which didn't happen and we didn't want anyone at our place without some there. Now it's October fingers crossed they actually fixed it this time. As for the overall experience I would not live here again I would rather move back home the recommend this place to anyone the rent is too high and the apartment is tiny so if toy have a family of 3 or more don't move here, oh and if you don't work a normal 9-5 job good luck finding parking it is horrible, they say that it's a community but the neighbors barely talk to you, and mangement is horrible they have been through 3 different managements in just 1 year, and this one is by far the worse.
I decided to rent here and quit looking. The day before I was to move I stop in to sign my lease. I had to be out my house I sold that weekend. My rent for the place I took was $750 and then as I'm sign the lease they tell me there is a additional monthly fee of $150 so you have to pay $900 month. I had no choice to sign, I had to move the next day. I have spoke with other tenants and it seems normal that is what they do. My fridge from the day I moved in was broke and it took them two weeks to replace. I have sent in a number of other issues and I never heard from them. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
