East Liberty is a neighborhood with a past, but with exciting changes capturing national attention, its bright future has everyone talking. Top publications have even named East Liberty one of the nation's top 10 up-and-coming neighborhoods. New mixed-use construction and historic buildings like the Kelly Strayhorne Theater and the old Nabisco factory combine to create a dynamic community that is considered one of the hippest in Pittsburgh.
Located northeast of downtown, East Liberty sits not far from the major medical centers at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. This neighborhood features a variety of housing options ranging from high-rise apartments to townhomes and historic Victorians. By integrating old and new construction, East Liberty manages to have a modern edge while maintaining the feel of a classic Pittsburgh neighborhood.

Since moving in last July, I have been generally satisfied with my living experience here. Becky, Kyla, and Bill always been friendly and quick to address any issues I encounter. However, the shared courtyard on the 2nd floor seems to be in need of cleaning. I could see many dead lantern flies.

Happy to call Coda home. It’s definitely a bit overpriced relative to Pittsburgh area, but you pay for clean, safe, peaceful apartment with great amenities. Property managers are very helpful and nice. Maintenances and requests are handle very quickly and effortlessly. It has a small gym (not much but works), parking, table tennis, pool, printer, vending machine, study rooms, and a yard with 3 bbqs. Security of the building is great. Has multiple fob entry accesses to limit the chance of tailgating. It’s situated in best area, convenient transport to CMU and downtown. 2 mins walk from Giant Eagle and Aldi and UPMC. Apartments are very spacious and modern and most importantly come with AC/heater. Kitchen is the best part, very well furnished, and huge! Package room is accessible by the app, and very efficient and easy, never lost any package. About cons, apartment is on Centre Ave, so it can be noisy from all the cars and people for lower floors.

The leasing agents downstairs are very nice, everything in the common areas is pretty stocked for the most part and very clean. The equipment in the gym are also all working, would love some extra stuff though.

I am the oldest resident in the building, living in 326 since 2018 and in 229 since 2023. Thus, I have seen a number of different management companies running the building. I think the current management is doing an excellent job, probably the best I have seen and are on top of most things. In addition, they are very polite and pleasant to interact with.

I am thrilled to have moved here recently. It’s a wonderful experience: the staff is so friendly and efficient, and my apartment is very comfortable, the perfect size for me, very updated and I could go on and on. Thank you Coda!

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We're happy to know that you've had a great experience with us and look forward to your next visit.
I have been living here for 2 years. I think Coda is the nicest place to live in Pittsburgh. The location and the amenities of the building are unique. The manager, Karie, and her team are amazing, and they take care of everything in no time. They also are very friendly and professional at the same time. I enjoy living here so much!
My daughter studied at CMU and she has been living in this place for nearly two years. The rent became incredibly high and unreasonable when she extended the lease. Also, her experience with the leasing office is very bad. Their attitudes are arrogant and mean. If you encounter any problem, all they will do is blaming on the tenant. Moreover, my daughter’s unit has a leaking problem since last Nov. The maintenance team came several times and the problem is never fixed. She had to listen to the water dripping for the whole day and night.
The property is great! I lived here during my study at CMU. It's my best decision choosing CODA to be my home. :)
