Property Ratings at Coles Crossing
The crew responsible for repairs occasionally close jobs without resolving them or ignores them entirely. Nobody follows the rules regarding the noise and for some reason the front office lied about having a courtesy officer on staff that would have been responsible for managing the noise levels across the complex. If the courtesy officer does exist, they sure don't do their job. At one point, I tried contacting the police, but they informed me that there is no noise ordinance to enforce in the area. The dog park isn't taken care of and the complex in its entirety is infested with racoons, opossums, and wasps. The gym is of poor quality and I'm almost certain it is just there to amp up the price of rent. Also, the people responsible for taking out the trash every week, which I pay for, refuse to come to the third floor most of the time, which contributes to the raccoon problem. Oh and the largest problem that went on for months, for some reason the staff has full control over the speaker by the pool and continuously left it on. Now, that noise has been replaced by people who don't live here staying in the pool area past 10:00PM. Most of these complaints were taken to the staff in the front, and all of them were never resolved if you decide to live here, good luck.
The female representative could do with some customer service training. She brushed off the apartments.com advertising which brought me to her company's lease offering, then misquoted prices, then dogged me around until I received no response on my inquiry call. Pretended I didn't make an inquiry and hung up on me. Amazing. I guess she didn't think company needs my money..
We lived at Coles Crossing Apartments for aprox. two and a half years. We had great, helpful neighbors and had easy access to local stores and hwy 290. That's more or less where the pros stop. We had issues with the maintenance team not fixing issues to the point where I had to get upper management involved, we had security issues; peoples vehicles were broken into and their tires taken 10 times in a month with no help from staff (the gates not closing properly, no cameras put up for extra protection, no noted security guards watching the area etc.) We had negative interactions with staff multiples times at the office. After your a resident, you are then treated "differently" and sometimes the staff can be strait up rude. Now, after leaving, they are trying to charge us 500$ in holdover fee's even though we have been out of the apartments for two months (prior to lease ending) and we paid everything on time. Their claiming that telling them over the phone that we moved out and will bring the mail keys at a specified date (due to working and living conditions currently) was not sufficient to incur not holdover fee's. I do not recommend living here! Its a beautiful place with nice neighbors, but its not worth the headache from maintenance, staff, and the fear of getting your stuff taken.
I’ve been living here over a year and the office staff is great and always takes care of any trouble I’m having with the apartment. I feel safe, a lot of the neighbors and people in the community look out for each other. Maintenance staff is great and take care of any request I put in at a timely manner! I would recommend this property to anyone who’s looking. The dog park is spacious and there’s a lot of space to walk around.
I was at Coles Crossing for a year, Samantha was very helpful from day one and Austin also was very friendly and attentive, he even make fresh cookies for my kids several occasions. Very clean and quiet place to live. Maintenance crew are very very polite and friendly. I was renting unit 16203 with an assigned parking space that I paid monthly because parking spaces are a little limited so that may be something to be considered for new renters. Thank You Coles Crossing Crew
I’ve lived here for going on 3 years and I’ve always been treated sooo Golden the leasing staff is very open and welcoming to help with all of my needs the last 3 years ! Love them and plan to live here for another year or two !!
I thought Coles Crossing was a safe community, but no it is not. They have a ton of construction going on therefore strangers in and out all day. They are supposed to be gated... it gets left open... and they have a makeshift fence. People have been robbed repeatedly AND there was a home invasion on the property. They don’t advertise those issues. They need security guards period!!
Why did I give this place a 1 star rating? Well please let me explain a few reasons. 1. They gave my key to pest control even though I did not request pest control. When asked why they came in my apartment I was told it was because I was on the list, but they could not explain to me why my name was on the list or who put it there. This Envirol-Pest control (which they still use today) employee stole from my apartment and was caught on tape doing so. They told me they would help me try to get the money back Then just told me to take Envirotrol to court. Thanks for the help. No lawyer will take a small claims case and those companies have people to fight off little people like me with no lawyer. 2. Follow through. If you make a maintenance request they will mark it as complete when it's not. They mark it complete when they put out the order to have the issue addressed NOT when it is complete. Which causes them to "drop the ball" (an exact quote from management) often. I bet those reports look great though!! 3. During fire inspection they walked around and just left keys in apartment doors and walked away. I removed the key because I was home that day (Thursday) and I still had the key on Monday and had to return it to the office myself. There is/was no accountability for our safety. THEY DID NOT KNOW THE KEY WAS MISSING. How many other keys were left out? 4. The management of the property write positive reviews to boost their ratings. One of the reviews below is from the manager who gave my key away and basically accused my friends and family of stealing from my house until I showed proof of who it really was. Once again, not even an apology or anything. 5. Security gates. They have not worked since Hurricane Harvey but even before that, they only worked about 50% of the time. The apartment on the 1st floor in the building I live in was broken into a little while back in broad daylight, They kicked in the door. I know, So why do I still live here? It's convenient to a lot of things. They do try to do the right thing in some cases. I continue to have faith that they will get their act together and do the right thing all the time. This place has potential.
A list of reasons I may not resign with this company. Resident since May 2015. We have never been compensated for any of these issues & they were all reported & date back before Harvey when we flooded. What we found on move in, May 2015 (We were told that the apartment had been cleaned): -The carpet had many stains. We had it shampooed ourselves, many of the stains came right off. -The patio was filthy&infested with wasps nests. We cleaned it. -The washer had sooty mold underneath.Leak was reported to the leasing office & they could not find the leak& moved on. -THE DRYER was a FIRE HAZARD. Black soot on walls. The dryer vent was broken & blackened with soot. We found a dead bird, insects, clots of lint balls, tissue, etc.I cleaned it out asked maintenance to come install a new dryer vent. -Mold in shower caulking, a leak in the shower door causing mold to one corner-we reported&they layered with caulk. Major Incidents: -From Aug 3rd to Aug 8th we had NO FUNCTIONING AC. I work from home & had to wait for the proper equipment to be ORDERED. The window unit they installed was only strong enough to cool the bedroom. -HARVEY: On September 1 we moved out, after spending 4 days in our apartment & cleaning water from two flooded cars-our electricity & water had been shut off. We moved back in on the 30th of Sept, a Sat.-the water was again, shut off without notice&continues to be randomly shut off. Unresolved: -The MOLD in the SHOWER is getting worse & growing UNDER THE LINOLEUM. The bleach I use is killing my lungs. -The hallway is always going to be filthy (NoPowerWashSched) -The MB toilet randomly runs water -The MB blind was never fixed -The windows have mold & water damage stains-applied caulk strips as wasps keep getting in. -The disposal died 1yr ago -The dishwasher does not release the soap door&the watering tube gets stuck. -The dryer is $$$. In July I washed the couch covers.Comparing my June, July, and Aug. electricity bills-July’s bill was $48 higher than June or Aug. It cost me $48 to wash & dry. -The washer throws water to the floor during the spin cycle & makes some clanging noises.Mold Underneath. -THE STOVE.Reported since Dec.19th, 2015, 6:27pm, one of the burners(setting 3.5)began to make a sound&started to burn my food. As I reached over to turn it off the grease caught fire.We put it out&have reported it again&again. They come to observe it&move on because it doesn’t always act up. 9 out of 10 times it acts normal.
You gotta be out your mind to rent a 2 bedroom for 1800 bucks! I can get a 3 bedroom house for cheaper!
I only stay for 3 months here and 3 managers, no one interest in you, they only care about money, they charge me 40 days more than my contract becouse of the 60 days notice, and they have a very big list to charge when you move out, like 25 dlls for faucet clean, 40 dlls for carpet clean, 35 for refrigerator, 30 for range, 100 dlls month to month charge, 150 dlls for the light energy thath I never use because I was already living in my house, and obiusly the $2000 dlls for the 40 days rent without living there and the list never ends... make yourself a favor and look for a place when they treat you like human being..
I LIVE IN HERE AND THEY CHARGE FOR THINGS THAT YOU NEVER IMAGINE THE POOL IS DURTY ALL THE TIME I HAVE BUGS IN MY APARTMENT THERE IS SO MUCH NOISE AND THE LIST IS LARGE NO ONE LISTEN TO YOU MAKE YOURSELF A FAVOR AND RUN FROM THIS PLACE
We have been here for 8 years and love it. This is our home now, we treat it as if it were our "home". I have put in custom drapery to make it beautiful as well. The property is my favorite and I am proud to say I live here.
Nice place to live! Family., kids and pets all welcome.... Nice property and nice pool!
Apartment surroundings has very good Ambiance. Lots of trees. All the apartments are will maintained and Clean. Very good Office desk and very quick response. Has a good movie hall and swimming pool. Best to place to live in Cypress. Stores and restaurants are in walk able distance. Highly recommend for everyone.
We lived out of town and used apartments.com to find apartments near my new job. We arrived early to Coles Crossing since it was a holiday weekend and hoped that someone would be able to answer questions for us. Leasing staff were exceptional and took the time to show us their model apartments and let us know what openings they had as well as gave us all the details needed to make a decision. Not only did they welcome our pet who was with us that day but very hospitable! We said yes that weekend to our charming apartment!
I have been living at Coles Crossing for 3 years. Since I moved in they have changed property managers. The first ones were not that great so I was happy when the new management company came in. Though they have greatly improved a lot around the complex, such as expanding the gym area and redoing the splash pad, the office staff aren't always helpful. A few of them are awesome and will help you with any problem immediately but there are some that could not careless about helping. Also it takes weeks for maintenance to take care of a problem if it is not an emergency. Though when my apartment had been broken into 2 years ago they sent someone out at 2 a.m. to fix my locks. Those are the biggest problems I have encountered while living here. I do enjoy my apartment, the location is great and the complex is nice. I hope they will continue to improve the office staff and other amenities.
I have lived at Coles Crossing Apts going on 4 yrs now and really enjoy the location of my apt. I haven't had many occasions where I have needed anything fixed but when I have the service has always been quick & professional.
