Property Ratings at College Park Apartments
I wouldn’t recommend living in the apartment buildings. Almost everything is very outdated and needs fixing. Often seems like one problem after the other or you just have to live with the inconveniences. The windows need replaced as they aren’t sealed properly anymore often freezing over it’s cold or even leaking with big rainstorms. Outside doors need to be replaced as the keys don’t work often and you have to try multiple times to get it to open. Another note your outside key works for all apartment buildings which in my mind is a security risk. Barely any light in the rooms as they don’t have ceiling lights and you have to get standing lights which takes up space. The rent goes up every year by a lot even though the value of the apartments hasn’t changed and has gotten worse. Maintenance fails to warn you before coming over. Best they will do is a knock and then come in using their key. They don’t call to see if you’re home or ready just there and open the door. You have to pay with a check they don’t have online system which is outdated but more reasonable than my other complaints.
Managers are very active and always ready to help fix anything that needs fixing. Quiet and plenty of children for mine to play with too. Affordable & for the most part up-to-date on the inside. Rooms are spacious! The school the kids go to k-8 is Northwood. Also, good school. Highway is close & most fast food is close as well. My children and I are comfortable here & feel safe.
Rent can only be paid by check or money order which makes it more expensive for some. Annual rent increases are enormous and double if you go month to month so when you decide to move out make sure it is exactly when your lease expires. Rent increase also means you have to add to your security deposit. Even if you move in half way through the month you pay the full month plus the same in security deposit. You pay for two parking spots but good luck keeping them. Windows and doors haven't been replaced since they were installed so heat and cooling is expensive. They will blow their top if your curtains don't have white backs. No pets. Some people break these rules and get away with it but some don't. And on top of all of this, they expect 45 days notice to leave. This place is a trap.
Separated from my husband a year ago after 41 yrs together. Never living on my own before... looking to start a new life on my own that is affordable. I have a few "must haves" in my choice of where to live. This apt. complex fills most of the "must haves" & is in a good location for me.
This is the best apartment I have ever been in, it is 2 bedroom 1 and 1/2 bath with hook up for washer and dryer. Very nice size rooms the master bedroom is 15X12 with walk in closet the kitchen has plenty of cabinets with a trash disposal and comes with your private fenced in back yard for entertaining . Great location with lots of nice restaurants and stores close by 20 minutes from down town Cleveland so you can catch the Indians , browns , cavs or just go for the day and see the rock-n-roll hall of fame , there is a little bit of everything for everyone .
I lived in a rough neighborhood for 13 years. Just moved here July 7th. Its bigger.. its really nice and quiet. Neighborhood is pretty. I have a balcony off my bedroom which is great. Got married 2 years ago..together we have 5 kids so financially a little bit of a struggle but I try my best to give our kids a good home to grow up in!! This would be an amazing thing for us if we are picked. Thank you!
