Property Ratings at Collegiate Village Inn - Student Housing
This is hands down the worst place to live for a UCF Student. For the price of a double you can not share a room, or for the price of a single you can get a full 1-1. Not having a kitchen sucks and the food they provide in the bistro is awful, and not accessible. They say 3 meals a day but if you sleep in and have a late breakfast it was counted as lunch. I highly recommend trying to go ANYWHERE ELSE.
The building is out of date and smells of still water. The maintenance crew is three men responsible for over 300 units. Upon moving in I had No hot water, No AC, and an Incomplete kitchen. There was exposed wiring, and paint all over the floor. I was shocked I was even allowed to move in with these conditions. I later learned the previous residents vandalized the building before leaving and CVI was unable to fix the damage. If you are considering renting from CVI, do yourself a favor and keep looking.
Lived there 10 months apartment was robbed twice. Found out they knew you could pop the lock of every apartment with just a screw driver but did not do anything. They still telecall me 2 times a month to see if I want to move back. It is not fun being reminded of my time there.
I've been living at CVI for several months now, while attending Full Sail University. There floor plans offer a lot of room at below market rates and include all utilities with optional meal plans. There's plenty of available parking so you can always find a space when returning home late from class. Plus CVI offers a shuttle for all Full Sail students. The Internet is Crazy fast, so bring your router and enjoy hours of WOW and COD in your little free time and don't forget the free housekeeping just like at home, Thanks, MOM !! The Maintenance Team has always gone the extra mile to fix any issue that has popped up. **SPECIAL NOTE** The ladies at the front desk are simply amazing. With the amount of stress coming from them from multiple angles, there smiles, kind demeanor and willingness to help never falter.
It's like living in a very terrible hotel. No kitchen, one bathroom, one sink, mini fridge, closets and a desk. Yes it's close to campus, yes it has a pool, but the wifi is horrible and if your roommate snores, too bad, no walls between you guys. It literally is set up like a hotel room. So unless you like that sort of thing, don't do it. Look somewhere else. You can find something better for the same price.
Choose somewhere else while your ahead. Management is a mess, rooms are over priced and terribly maintained. Theirs a million other places to choose, don't be fooled by them. Maintenance enters your apartment when ever they like without notice. Hotel door keys, really? Bugs, bugs everywhere. Their "Pest control" every weeks needs to be daily. Just to think, they want you to eat their food... There is a million other places I would be more then happy to recommend myself other then CVI. Run, while your ahead.
