Property Ratings at Collingwood Gardens
When I first moved here it was great. Elena and Marilyn were very helpful, they always made sure they took care of their residents. Elena and Marilyn are no longer there. In the front side of near the gas station they’re always people hanging out on the stairs and selling drugs. At night, I’ve seen it get crazier. Not to mention that side of the apartments has a SERIOUS rat infestation. Rats in the kitchen, jumping off of counters, scratching holes in the walls! Folks are always breaking in the apartments. They definitely need a 24 hour maintenance because stuff is always breaking down here. They also have a new management, they could definitely do better.
Excellent Property. I was in the office about a week ago and Elena the property manager was in the office that day. I was very happy with the customer service she provided, because I toured other properties in that area that day. The other properties people were either rude or unprepared. I also like how the grounds at Collingwood Gardens was very clean and the property seemed to be very quiet. I am looking for an apartment for March and more than likely will be back in February to lease.
I just moved in about three months ago into a one bedroom. At first I was scared about moving into the area being that it is Greenspoint but once I meet the office staff they made me feel more at ease. I leased an apartment from the leasing girl Marilynn. Marilynn was very helpful to me and very respectful and pleasant. The grounds at the property were a lot cleaner than I excepted. When I walked my apartment I was totally amazed on how beautiful it was.
I have not lived in an apartment in 20 years. I sold my house and down sized my way of living. I moved into a one bedroom because my income qualified me for that. This is a really cute apartment. Thanks to Hurricane Harvey, they have been nicely renovated on the inside. I only know about this first floor unit. The contrasting interior paint, faux wood 2 inch blinds in the bedroom, updated hardware throughout, new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, all new interior doors and wood looking vinyl flooring throughout make the apartment look great inside . The updated lighting fixtures in the kitchen, bathroom and dining area are very nice. This one bedroom unit has 4 closets for storage. To top it all off the rental rates are affordable. There is a need for the exterminator to visit now and then but it is not horrible. The property uses a top brand name extermination company. I am very picky about the interior surroundings in which I live. The management team has been nothing but professional with me. They are willing to listen and have conversation with their renters. I have observed and experienced this with the management team at Collingwood Gardens Apartments. The property maintenance team keeps the grounds presentable and the dumpster area swept. This being the Greenspoint area of Houston, it is HIGHLY recommended that renters are inside to stay before nightfall. If we have a reason to come home after dark, there is a security company patrolling the area and if we call in advance, they will meet us and escort us to our doors. I will write another review after I have lived in the apartment for six months or so.
