Perfectly situated just nine miles from Downtown Columbia and five miles north of Congaree National Park, Hopkins is an ideal suburb, offering a wooded, peaceful community just minutes from the city. The village is also near McEntire Joint National Guard Base, just four miles east of Hopkins, and the University of South Carolina, 10 miles northwest.
Renting an apartment in Hopkins means Congaree National Park — one of South Carolina's most beautiful locations — is your backyard. This beautiful hardwood forest is bordered by the Congaree River, and a variety of creeks and lakes are included in the park, making canoeing one of the park's most popular pastimes. Other activities include camping, fishing, and hiking.

Property Ratings at Colonial Pointe Apartments
The entrance has a huge pothole, they have burned buildings that have been sitting there for almost 3 years. There’s an infestation of roaches. The air either doesn’t work causing the inside to be over 90 degrees or it leaks inside the house. Management does nothing to help. DO NOT MOVE HERE

This is the worst place I ever done live in. This place is falling apart and everybody is Complaining about the same issue and they will not do anything about it. Water leaking mood air does not work good upstairs holds in in the ceiling. So please look away and they will not send anybody out to fix anything and we do not have any maintenance men so looking to move someone please find a new places because this places is not worth it at all

Thank you for reaching out. We regret to hear that you feel this way. Please contact the office to discuss these concerns at your earliest convenience. We want to address them as quickly as possible.
I was told there were two bedroom units available. Before paying me deposit, I was told it would only be a few days for the apartment to be ready. AFTER paying my deposit on December 15th, I was informed they wouldn’t have anything available until mid January. I was supposed to receive a cal the following day to get my move in date and they haven’t made any efforts to reach out. I called everyday and was given the run around. I finally went to the office in person after I was told they would have a date by the 22nd of December. When I get there they tell me they have to do a walk through to see what they have, which is what I thought I would’ve done when I paid my deposit. I can’t fathom how they could be so inconsiderate of peoples time and money during a pandemic. I’m now having to pay for storage and live in a hotel because I’m from out of town and recently started working here and this is incredibly stressful. I cannot get the contact information for management.
I've lived at this complex before and they've helped me every time I needed help. No complaints. I want to come back in a month. I call myself their patient cause I know I aggravated them ????????. I had a very few scary moments which had nothing to do with the staff and that's why I left but I really want to come back. It's pretty cool.
I've been living here a year and havent had anything fixed on my work order. There's constant leaks and smoke detectors are faulty. They hassle you for rent but wont fix anything. Im a mother of 5 and i don't receive housing but we are about to be on the street. My boys room have black mold and my oldest son keeps getting sick because he has asthma and allergies. The doctors are looking at me like im a poor mother when im not but i keep having to take my children to the doctor for cold etc.
This apartment complex is not serious about taking care of the renters. AC constantly stopped blowing cold air about once a month. It happened a couple of times on the weekend and no maintenance person (on call or otherwise) would respond to our calls. 89 degrees inside, 90 outside. The best customer service you will find here is paying your rent! We should have paid attention to the reviews. A true case of “you get what you pay for”. Aug 11, 2018

don't rent from this apartment complex the staff is very unprofessional ghetto, loud. they would rather glue each other lace fronts down and put on eyelashes then to do any work. they would rather patch stuff up then to put in the work to do it correctly. they hire drug addicts to clean the apartments then to hire professionals. the maintenance men don't have a clue how to fix anything. they mislead potential tenants and show the model apartment and your actual apartments looks nothing like the model apartment it's not painted it's just drywall, the appliances are not updated the pool water is green clean and has not been cleaned out, there is no hardwood floors, garbage disposal shakes the whole kitchen sink, dishwasher don't work properly or either they leak all over the floor and outdated the stoves are also outdated the ceilings are cracked, patio door is off track. the apartments are very hot in summer time upstairs because of the the skylights that they so- called calling themselves spray painting over it. your apartment will have some kind leaking issue either it is from the ceiling or through the floors, the grounds stay trashy the walls have patches on them not fix correctly, abandoned cars taking up parking spaces, mailbox are damaged due to locks not installed correctly or there is no door at all on your box and it leaves your mail to be open or missing. Tennis, basketball court is non existence due to tenants not supervising their kid your cars are likely to get damage by a shopping carts due to unsupervised kids playing with them pushing the each other in the carts and letting them hit cars and taking off running. dope dealers are every where. #RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!

Due to the nature of your concerns, we feel it would be best if we spoke with you directly at your earliest convenience. Please give us a call at (803) 783-4973 when you have the time. Thank you.
I have been here for about 4 years and I like it. Close to gas, shopping, and eating. Public transportation right at the entrance. Pool is very relaxing and loving cooking on my back patio. Stay to myself but neighbors are friendly. Home sweet home
