Property managers don’t give a crap about you! Will tow your car for nothing even if you have a parking pass! The parking lot is always full so they want you to pay for a garage which is far from your building. Dog poop is constantly everywhere. The portable washer and dryer is tiny and will only fit a few clothing items for $50 a month! Maintenance will take forever to come and when they do, they have attitudes! People will still packages and the rent office has no sympathy! They will report your rent late and send eviction threats even if they are too careless to check the drop box! I hate this place I’m counting the days to move out

Colony point is a community of beautiful people from every walk of life. Military and civilian. It is peaceful and pet friendly. And the staff is professional and compassionate and caring. I've lived in Colony Point Apartments for about four months now. This is my boyfriend and I's first apartment as a college students at ODU and we've loved it so far! Pretty close to campus, pool/annual pool party, friendly office staff, conveniently placed near numerous grocery stores. The apartments are spacey with a balcony for the second floor and patios for the first. For a price this low around this area, we had not seen any apartments with as many benefits. The apartment community mostly consists of military and ODU students. I have seen a few families and young couples as well. One complaint I do have is the dogs barking during the day downstairs... Just annoying. Never at night on the bright side.
The community of colony point apartments is definitely family and pet friendly. The friendly management and staff are always coming up with excellent ideas for party and community get together for every holiday ( the pool party was soooo much fun this year). There is even a small dog park for your pet, clean up stations all around the complex stocked with bags to pick up after you pet. The pool is a great way to relax on your days off (my favorite!) complete with lifeguards and even a gas grill for residents to use. The maintenance is amazing here at Colony point. They get the job done in a timely fashion during the week days. They even have an maintenance emergency phone line just in case there is a big problem over the weekends when maintenance does not work. So I never have a problem in that department. The rent is fairly priced for how much space that you get and the water is free for my two bedroom and One bathroom with den apartment I only pay 1105 and anytime something needs to be repaired the cost is free and the only utility bills I have is for gas (which is fairly cheap) and electric Of course .The only dislike I have about this apartment complex is that washer and dryer is not included in the rent price. it's an additional charge of $40 per month but it is optional because they have convenient laundry facilities all around the complex. But with two children it's kind of not an option I need a washer dryer set . I have leased with Colony point apartments for the past two years now and over all I have had nothing but good experiences so far and I plan to renew my lease again this year an continue to be satisfied with where I live and be proud to call this place home.
My apartments are really nice. Very quiet, friendly People. Management is really nice. I've been really happy here. It's my first place and I'm glade I'm here. Close to stores, buses, beach, freeway. Love it
Very nice apartments. I've Been here for a little over a year, and renewed my lease once. It's a nice place to live for anyone! Mostly very quite. Pool hours could be better but there is always a life guard on duty. Utilities are very cheap! Colony Point bills you hot water, gas(heat and stove), and trash. Max Ive ever paid for those is 40$. (Hot water bill is split between everyone in the building). Hot water is literally endless, they have a continuous water heater. Only downside is my one bedroom does not have a washer and dryer hookup so I rent a washer and dryer (through a Colony Point backed 3rd party; they handle all the renting stuff) and it hooks up to the sink. All 2 bedroom 2 baths and up have W/D hookup though; I used to have a 2 bed 2 bath.
I was approved automatically and was able to move my wife down here with no problem, I am in the military the management here keeps my wife company and the complex are extremely clean, My wife just had a baby and it's a very safe environment for young children. I love the management team and apartment complex here they're very spacious.
There seems to be some bad reviews for this apartment complex, my only complaint is that maintenance is a little slow but other then that everything is awesome, I feel safe. Employees in the leasing office are friendly and they allow pets. Quarterly inspections insures everyone's apartments are in good order, most residents seem to be older people and military personal so that is nice as well.
We have bee living here since 2006 and there is no better place to rent. The apartment are spacious, maitenance keeps the grounds cleans and the leasing agents are friendly. They offer friendly gatherings throughout the year to make this feel like a family environment. They are upgrading now and I'm considering moving again so that I can grab a fresh updated apartment home. We moved in the past to get a newer home and we like it so much that we are willing to move again so we can have the updates. Just love being here!
