Property Ratings at Columbia Place Townhomes
My daughters and I moved into this community in August of 2024. We were blessed by our neighbors and staff who welcomed us with open arms and hospitality. I love the look of the townhomes and the grounds are beautifully kept and well maintained. The units are older homes, however they recently had new roofs put on. The handcrafted wood throughout the townhomes is elegant. The units are bright with many windows that let the natural light in. They are very well maintained and clean. Each townhome has either a 1 car or 2 car garage. I feel safe within this community which is very important to me as a single mom. The units are very quiet and I rarely hear my neighbors. Lastly, they are affordable considering how high the cost of living and rent is in the East Vancouver area. The staff and managers are exceptional. They go out of their way to repair or help with any maintenance issues or emergencies which were promptly taken care of with a single request. The amenities (pool, activity center, game room, spa, indoor theater and basketball court) are well-maintained and wonderfully kept. The girls and I love how close we are to all of the shops, restaurants and parks which are within walking distance. They just built a new Trader Joe’s across the street. Can I just say again, that we love how close everything is. The bus stop for the schools within the boundary lines is at the front gate of our community which is great for parents with kiddos. Columbia Place is a wonderful place to live with a sense of belonging to an awesome community. I highly recommend contacting Lisa or Kayla (our lovely managers) to ask questions or to schedule a tour. There is no waiting list, however you can fill out a card with your contact information. You may have to wait awhile but it is worth the wait. Thank you for your time.
My wife and I moved here in April 2024 from Texas, since our children and grandchildren were in the immediate area. Lisa and Kayla in the main office were extremely helpful over the phone. We made an exploratory visit in February 2024 and fell in love with the floor plan (3 BR, 2 1/2 BA). Now that we've been living here ten months, I simply wouldn't want to move anywhere else! The rent is unbelievably affordable compared to the other apartments we looked at in East Vancouver. The homes are 1 and 2 story townhomes that are connected together. The community is kept absolutely flawless with lawn maintenance, beautiful trees and flowering shrubs everywhere. Every time I take a walk, everything is so perfectly manicured, it feels like I'm wallking around Disneyland. The community has a beautiful pool, activity center and a basketball court. I love having a closed garage, something most apartments either don't offer or charge a hefty fee. There is lighting at night on every building, so it's very safe and pleasant to take walks. All the applicances are heavy duty units, i.e. washer/dryer, oven, refrigerator, sink disposal, furnace, etc. The few small things we've needed maintenance on have been taken care of promptly by our excellent maintenance guys Nick and Matt. The construction is beautiful and solid for being only 20 years old. Brand new roofs were put on every unit this past Spring. Don't be discouraged if you call and there is no waiting list to be placed on. The turnover is quite slow, since once people move in they don't want to leave! We just had a brand new Trader Joes open literally across the street. In that Columbia shopping center we have a Kohls, a Michaels, Peets coffee and others. So many stores and restaurants are within safe walking distance. We have been thoroughly pleased with all aspects of life here in Columbia Place Townhomes. If I could give a rating of six stars, I would!!
The units are in much need of updating (especially the huge tv cabinet above the fireplace is a real waste of space). Pool and hottub are always "closed for repair". Have had to put in a maintenance request 3 times for under sink leak before someone came out. I was told my garage had too much stuff in it. Can't wait to move.
We had the pleasure of living at Columbia Place Townhomes for over 5 years. The staff is exceptional - any maintenance issues or emergencies were promptly taken care of with a single request. The amenities (pool, activity center, spa) are well-maintained, and the proximity to shopping and dining, make this a highly attractive community. While a few features could use some updating (bathroom vinyl, tile countertops) the units are bright, truly well maintained and the grounds are nicely kept. The 4, 5, and 6-plexes are a unique design concept for a multi-family complex, and with every unit having at least a one-car garage, the complex has more of a clean, single-family home neighborhood feel. We were surprised how quiet the units are; we rarely heard our neighbors and they professed not to hear our dog when he barked at the squirrels! Columbia Place is a great value in all it offers in easy living, great amenities, access to shopping and dining, and above all, sense of community.
We moved in almost 5 years ago and it has been great. The office and maintenance staff are friendly, prompt and helpful and the groundskeeping is always current and improving. The pool and hottub area are well maintained as is the gym. Overall the community is quite which is surprising given the proximity to busy roads and an influx of building just off the property.
