Biggest Regret was moving to these apartments. They changed to paying rent online and didn’t give out any notices for that so I tried to turn in my money order which was on time and they tried to give me a late fee because they no longer took money orders they never called me or anything to inform me! Their response was ( we don’t call our tenants) My furnace has went out more then 4 times leasing office never answer the phone maintenance doesn’t fix ANYTHING!

The management is terrible they staff don’t care and are not helpful. They will charge you for their mistakes. I was charged a late fee when I paid on time, the staff failed to post my money order and didn’t do so until I showed them my rent receipt, they never took my late fee off when they said they would. They switched their payment plans and didn’t leave a notice. By switching their payment plans to only being able to pay online you are now forced to pay an extra 20+ dollars and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. There are much more terrible things about this apartment complex. They do not care about the tenants only their money DO NO rent here.

There is garbage on the inside and outside of the apartment buildings. Monarch Property Investments continues to do nothing to find out who is leaving garbage by the back door of building 5988. Housekeeping does a poor job of cleaning. For example, in building 5988, 3rd floor(in front of the elevator) there is clearly a spot of dog poop that Housekeeping did not clean up. Monarch Property Investments is only interested in taking rent money for little effort in upkeep. I wonder if this is how they treat tenants who reside in their more affluent properties. I doubt it.

The property has garbage everywhere. Dog droppings in the elevator, your front door anywhere. Garbage piles up at exit doors which makes it harder to get out. What if there’s a fire ? No cameras , no lights in the parking lots. The doors are broken anyone can get in.

Moving in wasn’t bad, other than getting my move in date pushed back twice. But the place is Cool, and it’s roomy. But my furnace went out 3 times when I first moved in, in November. I had to get an entire new thermostat. I put in a request to get my central air fixed at the beginning of summer and it took maintenance over a month to fix it!! My fridge has been leaking since I moved in, it’s been “fixed” a number of times. Same issue over and over. Leasing office never answers the phone! Cool for a first place but I will not be renewing my lease.

My mom been living here for 3yrs and it has been bad. The maintenance will lie and say they fix something and they did not. The building is always nasty and housekeeping never clean the inside of the building. The people in the leasing office never answer the phone. The police are always over here. They have people living here with big big dogs with no leash on them. I could go on this place only cares about money. You have money you can move in. They will move anybody in does not matter. They make sure the outside look nice but the inside looks bad and water leaks when it rains. Save your money and do not move here. They will lie to get you to move in.

Its not excellent at all Service is slow and tacky with no communication Took months before they even told me I had gotten approved! I has already found me another apartment by then and I cant even get my money back due to their lack of diligence! Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone at all

Property management does not inform tenants of changes in lease agreements... Every month there's incorrect fees added to my rent. Maintenance crew never fixes anything. They will lie in order to get people to move in. I would not recommend moving to Columbus Park Apartments.

This place is horrible. First off I live in the 5977 building and there is bird poop running down the hood of the building where the numbers are that haven’t been cleaned in years. Potholes in the parking lot. Intervom things that lets people call to your apartment to let them in has been broken the entirety of my stay here 16-20. Elevators have cracked floors and have failed to work consistently through my 4 yrs. Hot water has gone out 2-3 times a year for the past 2 years and we’ve gone without hot water for a week at the longest and they were in no rush to fix it. Now we’re dealing with roaches for the past 3 months. It started with the neighbors and made their way over to us. Complaints were made. Nothing changed

Communication is a BIG issue with this company. I’ve been trying to move in for almost 2 weeks now and still haven’t gotten information on anything. Makes me wonder if it’s worth it.

Other peoples water has been coming through my darins basically since i moved in. Maintenance is in and out my apartment weekly because someone elses dish water and bath water (and what ever else water) is continuously coming through my drain. Others on the floor have complained about the problem and maintenance says they need " young America" to dig underground, but the new owners wont pay for it. Instead they are harassing my family saying we will have to pay for plumbing problems that occur due to their faulty plumbing underground. Then i was heatless for about 4months because maintenance couldnt fix it properly the 1st 10times. Find out i needed a new furnance the whole time. Cant wait to move! I will never give them another dime. I have been faithful and never been late on a bill and am treated like less than human. Beyond disgusted with this service.

This place is Terrible. I am 20 yrs old. Had to take them to court. They want $75 if you’re late on rent, when they can’t even keep with with their responsibilities. This place is awful. Completely terrible harassed by the maintenance men, leasing office Is full of crap. They want a 60 day notice if you don’t want to renew your lease and stay month to month and your rent will go up $150. They need to realize for how this place looks and how they do ppl they need to lower prices. There is nothing here not even the Walmart anymore so for their prices to be this high is stupid when they still can’t keep up their end of the deal. The cameras are faced opposite from their door. Why would you have the camera not facing down the hall????? This place is stupid and I am definitely working on a lawsuit against them. Whatever it takes.
Me and my two small children have been without heat for over 2 months. I've been heating my home with my oven so that I can bath my kids. After harassing the leasing office numerous times, they finally fix my heat, only for it to go out 4 days later. Now we're back at square one. I just want adequate living conditions for my kids. I'm very disappointed at how they're handling things. Every time I call the leasing office they act like I'm bothering them. Horrible service. Been having issues since i moved in and they gave us the wrong unit. My sinks keep backing up with someone elses dirty water all over my kitchen, and now this!! Over this place!!
I’m barely one month into my lease and I’ve had to sign two different leases for two different apartment numbers. They don’t know what their apartments look like, they claim they are unaware some apartments had issues to begin with. My side door to our apartment building has been broken and wide open for about three weeks now. The second door which requires a key.. the key BARELY works. Don’t ever need to get in quickly or be running from someone because it takes 10 minutes to get in the door. I haven’t seen any bugs YET, no issues with parking (which is a plus). But all in all, I can’t wait until my lease is up.
My building seems to be overrun with mice out of nowhere. I have lived here 5 years and never seen a rodent or a bug and all of a sudden I can hear and see them everywhere. Apparently the problem started on the first floor but now it is all over my building. The office is aware and yet no exterminator has been sent in. They send up traps and close up any holes but this is a bigger problem that needs a professional solution. Prior to this there were minor issues but nothing this major. My children are scared to stay at home now. Will be looking to move soon if this isn't rectified.
The absolute worst place ever! !! Do not move here !!! Management and maintenance are horrible. They overcharged me in rent for 10 months and tried to evict me because their books were faulty. I had everyone one of my receipts so they dismissed the case and I got out of the remainder of the lease.. If you do move here you better maintain a ledger because they will try and screw you.. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY .. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.. I WOULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR IF I COULD. I BEG YOU TO LEARN FROM THE MISTAKES MYSELF AND OTHERS HAVE MADE.. ALSO JUST AN FYI ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FROM THEIR EMPLOYEES.. (FAKE) SO HAPPY TO BE MOVING. .
The hallways are always nasty we have had no hot water in over a week. I got stuck in elevator and it is extremely loud all the time
I lived here almost two years and the property owner kept changing which resulted in disorganization. Five apartments on our floor got roaches from our neighbor. The property managers did not cats about the complaints and I had to hire an outside exterminator to get rid of them. My neighbors had to buy their own treatment. Maintenence was nice but only provided temporary solutions to different things that broke down in the home. Some of the residents children would run up and down the halls constantly so don't expect quiet.
Nice, quite and clean!! you can't beat that.finding a place to living with out dealing wit any bugs was a major concern I had.columbus park have very clean apartments for a very affordable price.easy access to the freeways and shopping.its a family friendly community. if your thinking about moving to nice place that's affordable, clean and close the freeways this is the place for you!
When I first saw my apartment I absolutely loved everything about it. The size of it was huge to me and the layout was so pretty to me but the longer I stayed here the more problems I started to have from the dish washer to the stove going out and the refrigerator went out. We also didn't feel the heat in the winter the flame it was on but it was freezing in my house with my 3 children 2 of them being babies! So I had to buy heaters and with that the fuses kept blowing and I'm convinced if it rains a lot water is coming in through the floor because my carpet is damp and the house smells like mildew so I will be moving
Columbus park apartments are very good for their price.I heard mixed reviews about this place but it had the cheapest rent in town, and it's been great! It's a great starter apartment with very friendly and accommodating staff! I feel like im coming home to a home every night, and my only next step from this place would be when I actually purchase a home! Maintenance is kind, respectful and very fast. Management again is friendly and professional! And the community of kids, ederly and young adults is comfortable!
I love my apartment. It's spacious and cozy. The area is a little too crowded for me though. If your looking for a great prices with lots of space check it out.
Very different environment lots of friendly people however maintenance are a little slow other than that Columbus Park is an okay place to live
