Property Ratings at Comet West New Bern
My husband and I moved here last spring . We fell in love with the quiet community, the floor plans, amenities and kindly staff. It seemed shortly after about 4 months of us living here, things started going downhill with careless neighbors. Mostly every dog owner in the neighborhood is questionable and I have a dog myself. The dog owners don’t have the decency to pick up their pet poop. Not to mention, they leave cigarette buds in the dog park. The most absurd thing I came across is seeing urine and dog poop in the stairwells on multiple occasions. Can you say lazy! If you don’t care about clean neighbors, then this is the right place for you but don’t be surprised if you step in a pile a poop on your way to the car. Overall, the staff is nice but seems they have done nothing after multiple complaints since last summer. The maintenance staff is top tier!
I have lived here for almost a year. Very pleased with the staff and my apartment. Great amenities and a nice environment. A very nice place to live.

Comet West New Bern has been a very enjoyable living experience for me and my wife. We're literally 8-12 minutes from everything we need in New Bern, but nestled away from the city traffic and lights.

Comet west is a beautiful complex. The staff is amazing and everything is well maintained. The size of the apartments is wonderful as well. A small community-like atmosphere that is quiet and well enjoyed. However, you will most like hate the trash buddy company that they require you to sign up for and you will not be able to enjoy your patio either due to the return vent blowing either HOT air on you when your AC is on or FREEZING cold air when your heater is on. Do not waste money on patio furniture or plan to enjoy the patio. Other than that you will love it here and hope to meet you soon.

If you enjoy having no privacy at all, listening to every noise your neighbors make, having to wear earplugs every night, and not being able to find a parking spot then Comet West New Bern is the perfect community for you. Unfortunately, there aren’t many positives. The management staff seems nice but the problem lies with how the buildings were constructed not how they’re currently managed.

This community is top notch! It feels like I am in the city and not in new Bern which I love! Also the ladies in the front office are so sweet, and helpful. Tracy and Ashley have been amazing. I have had to call many times as well as email to ask many questions and they have always been professional and helpful. I love all of the amenities that are offered as well.

The staff was really helpful and very patient with me for not being in tune with all the newness of how everything is done now days. As an older person I'm not into all the new ways thing are done these days. The staff were real kind in all the help I received through the whole process. I thank all of them.

I love it here I use the gym 5 days throughout the week and I can’t wait for the pool to be opened. The rent a lil too high but I’m paying it and that’s it for me. :)

Comes West New Bern was a real surprise. The units have a great layout that maximizes space. The amenities are wonderful. We’re already enjoying the community fitness room and looking forward to using the pool this summer. The staff was great in helping with the application and move in process.

Great staff, very helpful whenever i have questions and concerns, quick response aswell
Comet West New Bern is the new rental hotspot, that’s a bit upscale. Locally, the closest comparison is ‘Reserve At Glenburnie’. And, at the time of writing this, three of the four buildings are not available, yet, as they are under construction. So, if you’re looking, this a good time to schedule a tour for deciding, whether this hotspot is for you. As for me, no regrets. And I’m glad that I took steps to move in, earlier rather than later.
