Located about 65 miles northeast of Downtown Dallas, the rural city of Commerce is perhaps best known as the home of Texas A&M University – Commerce, one of the state’s oldest institutions of higher learning. The university serves around 12,000 students, compared to the city’s permanent population of around 8,500, so it is fair to say that college culture is a major part of everyday life in Commerce. The campus dominates the west side of town, with a small downtown district located a few blocks to the northeast hosting a thriving dining and nightlife scene.
Known as the Bois d’Arc Capital of Texas, the community’s most popular event is arguably the annual Bois d’Arc Bash, an autumn celebration incorporating concerts, barbecue cook-offs, a parade, and street vendors. The local rental market features a mix of apartments and houses suitable for a variety of budgets and lifestyles.

Property Ratings at Commerce Village Apartments Phase II
Lived here about a year and a half. Safe and quiet neighborhood, perfect for college students. The office staff is fantastic. All rent payments and service requests are streamlined through their renters app. All service requests throughout my time were fulfilled to great satisfaction and within very reasonable time (usually same day). There are laundry facilities well within reach( were right next to my apartment). I would definitely recommend these accommodations to incoming students at Texas A&M Commerce.
My experience at Regency Square apartments was one that I'll never forget. I had an apartment there for about a year and a half. The maintenance crew and office ladies are wonderful, beyond respectful and most importantly, trustworthy. This made maintenance requests super easy since I didn't have to be there to let them in. These apartments are simple but it was perfect for my college student needs. Absolutely did not want to leave!
The apartments are raggedy despite being very cheap. I must say though it is a safe area but it isn’t worth it.
I lived at Regency Square for a total of 2 years. In the time I lived there, I had a great experience. The prices are lower than all of the other apartments in town so it's very affordable. Any maintenance needs were addressed immediately. The office staff was really friendly and easy to deal with. It was an all-around great experience!!! I would highly recommend Regency Square to anyone. I think it's definitely the best bang for your buck around. As a plus, it's a very short walking distance to campus!!!
This apartment complex is clean, safe, and perfect for college students. Staff is friendly and personable.
I've been a long term tenant here while I was a student in college, along with my roommate, 4 years for myself and 3 for him. These apartments have been here awhile, and they have a great location for students. I moved here from my previous place (also in Commerce) and I suffered the whole time from the prices constantly going up. Moving here was amazing for me the last 4 years. Not only are these within a 5 minute walking distance from the campus, they are affordable for students like myself who may not be the best off financially. Because they were affordable, I also found myself doing better financially further down the line, finally able to accomplish other things. The pricing is great, and it's hard finding others that can compete. While the buildings do have their quirks, maintenance has always been quick, informative, and friendly when working on any problems that may arise. They made it less stressful and easy to be here if something went wrong. Currently, it seems they are updating many things around the buildings also! The ladies in the office are wonderful too. They will try to work with you on anything, and are very caring and considerate of their tenants. They have made my stay here amazing and I will miss them all very much.
Great location, close to A&M Commerce and great staff.
