True to its name, Bull Mountain is named for the hill it’s located on. This Washington County community is nestled along Southwest Pacific Highway, connecting the neighborhood to Portland, located just 11 miles away. Residents enjoy living so close to this buzzing city, while still appreciating Bull Mountain’s sense of small-town charm. Big-box stores, local restaurants, grocers, casual dining options, and more surround the community, but the majority of Bull Mountain is residential. This park-like neighborhood is very wooded, and locals enjoy city parks like Bull Mountain Park and nearby destinations like Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. Nature trails, a visitor center, and more await at this nature preserve. Upscale homes line Bull Mountain’s verdant streets, and renters have a wide selection of luxury apartments to choose from.

Property Ratings at Commons at Avalon Park Apartments
This place is honestly my nightmare. If I could afford to break my lease, I would. All the other complaints people have shared are accurate: bugs, noise, the inconvenience. The maintenance people have all been nice but at one point my water heater stopped working and it took weeks of emails and three separate apartment visits to get it fixed, and the last time they left a huge mess in my bathroom and didn’t even put the dryer back in the closet. What really has left a bad taste in my mouth now, though, is how little accountability the management has for dealing with resident problems and following their own rules. People smoke wherever they want despite the clear rules about it. Pet waste is left all over the place. People let their angry, violent dogs run around off leash. No one parks correctly, often people with assigned spots take up the limited unassigned ones just so they can park closer to home. People even leave their cars parked in the roadway blocking the path for hours at a time. Nothing is done. Loud, drunken people at all hours of the night hang out in the parking lots. Houseless people come tear through the dumpsters and make a mess on the garbage room. I’ve finally had it after one particular resident was outside drunkenly looking for his girlfriend while carrying a gun. I shouldn’t have to wake up in the middle of the night and call the police and then have literally nothing be done about it. This resident still lives here. I don’t pay $1500 a month to have to worry about some nutjob resident with a gun because they don’t want to lose out on that resident’s rent money. This place is TERRIBLY managed and NOT SAFE. Don’t move here. You will regret it.
The community is quiet and secluded. 8 acre park and access to the Tualatin river. Progress Ridge, Washington Square mall, and Bridgeport Mall are all within twenty minutes. Management and staff very easy to work with.
I really want say thank you Avalon Park for a wonderful community. It has nice group of staffs, clean and friendly enviroment. Apartments are spaces and you feel like you live in a house. They have nice swimming pool, recreation room, they have their own park. Its like you feel at home when you walk around the property. Thank you so much Avalon Park...i hope people will come out and check you out! Ryan Peter
In short. They tried to charge me for carpet damages. They said the foam underneath the carpet was ruined. They wanted $1400 for it, but later canceled the charge. Sent my deposit to my roommate, He's not my roommate any more for a reason. They refuse to correct the error that they made. Bye bye money. Parking was a nightmare, Holidays were even worse. Managers were very disrespectful. But the rooms are new, if you can tolerate all the bad stuff.
Avalon Park is a beautiful place to live. With 8 acres of wooded park down below the apartments, a pool and a year round hot tub. It is quiet and close to Haggens, Dollar tree, Marshalls and more.
Any issues that come up ( hardly any at that) have been resolved same day as I brought it to the management's attention. Also a very quite comfortable place to live. Just wish you could paint an accent wall..
Our apartment complex has recently been remodeled which makes them look even better in the inside than the fresh clean look you see gazing from the outside. There is a gym, pool, and even our private own park just across the parking lot. It's very quiet and I have no complaints.
