Property Ratings at Copper and Quarry Village
Trying to move in with a family member who goes to jhu. Throughout the entire process the agent has shown poor communication skills, from not getting back to us when she said so. Being unable to answer any of our questions for pricing. Maybe an hour passed by after her sending us the ingo on the apartment she showed us, it was unavailable. And on top of that she made us fill out an application even after saying my family member was on financial aid for school and the school would be paying, and the leasing agent didnt know how that would work. We waited 4 days for her to get back to us after applying. And then she told us that we needed a cosigner who made 4x the rent amount, almost 7000 dollars a month, despite both of us having 730+ credit scores and being able to afford the rent. I dont know how the actual place is living there, but just from this experience applying, im extraodinarily dissatisfied. Dont waste your time.
There was a shooting. Our neighbors have called the cops on us and threatened physical violence. Witnessed multiple incidents of domestic violence. The trash is a problem. The trash valet does not follow their schedule. Residents will throw their trash where ever. Overall, the price is not worth your health and safety.
I start with the positives: (1) Bonnie Ridge apartments are located in a beautiful, family-oriented, and relatively quite neighborhood (2) Floor plans are nice and comfortable (3) Ample outdoor parking space is available (4) A nice fitness trail and a dog park are at arm's reach Now, my reasons for giving it a 1 star: (1) The property is infested with rodents and the apartments are old. So, it is guaranteed to find rats or their droppings in your apartment every now and then (2) The maintenance office is excruciating slow and simply does not care about your comfort. Waiting for a moth to get your heater repaired in the 50-60 degree temperature or waiting 2 weeks to get your sink unclogged are frequent occurrences (3) The property management is incompetent in even the smallest tasks such as waste management or keeping the property clean (4) The gym has no air conditioning, broken equipment, and dead rats and bugs (5) Despite requiring pet fee, waste bags are seldom provided and the dog park is in poor condition (6) The entire property has only 1 entrance (despite having hundreds of units), which poses a serious safety concern in cases of emergency. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision about living at the Bonnie Ridge Apartments
I give 0 stars. They don’t even get one from me with how I feel about being here right now but I had to give a start just to post. I was actually excited to live meet my job and I thought it was a great area and community commuting from downtown but now I just wish I should’ve stayed. I was told that the apartment I signed the lease for was going to be exactly how I seen it in photos for the newly renovated unit, that was a lie. The whole walkthrough, it was not giving renovated. & I have had problems up to this very day with everything in the apartment. It started with the trash, people simply putting their mess in my can and attracting maggots. The dishwasher and sink got clogged and was clogged for a week because maintenance took their time on coming through after I been only living there one week! My kitchen light fell and started to hang by one nail! My bathroom is filthy especially around the toilet, so disgusting, my patio and window screens were torn and ripped through. They say there aren’t any bugs and there are many! The carpet was not put down right or replaced. I vacuumed my carpet and it was so dusty and all it collected was dirt. Now I have a bad furnace because I was told by the fire department since I smelled something toxic in my apartment and couldn’t even breathe properly , come to find out my filter hasn’t been changed in about 2-3 years and the furnace is not even working and shouldn’t be on because of the unhealthy air that’s circulating in my home which to why I was feeling sick and had a respiratory infection. Last two nights been extremely hard to sleep let alone there’s NO HEAT because of the furnace not even working and the filter, so I’ve been freezing 2 weeks now with no heat but want rent utilities and bge paid for, this is insane! & I have NEVER experienced such issues with a complex ever I’m my years of renting. The only complex needs new management and a whole new makeover!
They had a shooting here last month. It was terrifying. If you can go somewhere else please do . Packages get lost a lot
New resident here and very disappointed. I wish I had chosen another place - I hear Ivy mount in Mt. Washington is a better choice. I asked to tour the particular apartment I was applying for, but was told it wasn't ready or available to view. I was shown another apartment and was assured that my apartment would be the same. It wasn't. Not only was my initial move-in date moved to two days after the date on my lease with less than 24 hours notice, the leasing office tried to then continue charging me the full pro-rated rent. They were avoiding my emails and calls to get an adjusted pro-rated rent. When I finally moved into the apartment, it was in no way ready. There was no working AC for 1.5 weeks, the toilet bowl was filthy and rusted, the front door did not and still does not seal completely, two of the three front door locks were completely broken, and lightbulbs were fused and missing. Maintenance has been helpful, working to get everything ready, but all of the work could and should have been completed prior to my move-in. It's pretty clear to see that the leasing office is just interested in having folks sign a lease - with very little regard for the new resident and their comfort, and minimal priority for upholding Bonnie Ridge's own standards for a livable apartment. I have called and emailed the property manager and leasing staff several times, but all I have been given are empty apologies but no action to reconcile the inconvenience, blatant unpreparedness, and manipulative dishonesty.
Rodent infestation & trash everywhere! You would think for the prices that we pay that these problems wouldn’t exist. I’ve had maintenance/ pest control come to my home 7 times since the new year !
Do not live here! Instead of addressing that this property lacks a proper amount of dumspsters, residents are sent daily emails regarding trash. Instead of addressing the 2 dumpsters as the problem, management took all dumpsters away as punishment. Trash is overflowing on the ground in the trash area. Now there is a rat infestation surrounding the trash area. Hundreds of rats run all throught the day in the area. It's disgusting. There's also the mold problem and unkept apartments. I reported mold in my apartment and they sent someone out. Now that I know what his truck looks like i've noticed he's constantly treating all of the surrounding buildings. Run... don't live here.
The property management and maintenance teams have been very hospitable and quick to take care of anything you might need!
VERY timely response to my maintenance request. Issue was resolved quickly and professionally by staff members Jamal and Weldon! *this was my first major request* (new tenant - less than 6 months).
I have been at Bonnie Ridge since 2008 and have enjoyed the location. The people that work here have always been professional and helpful.
The Leasing Staff were DELIGHTFUL to work with. Jessica and Jacqueline both took and maintained a SINCERE INTEREST in finding us the Apartment that my 16 year old son Described as "A Place that Really Feels like a HOME". There was one issue about a couple OLDER LIGHT FIXTURES that we felt needed Replacing. Mr. Weldon, the Maintenance Service Manager did an Amazing job putting in the MOST ATTRACTIVE Light Fixtures. When we walked into our New Apartment Home for Inspection, we were so impressed with the Quality of Workmanship. Mr. Weldon is apparently DEDICATED to PERFECTION. The Clubhouse, Beautiful Swimming Pool, Exercise Facilities, Outdoor Trail, Park Like Setting with Picnic Tables, etc., all add up to make Bonnie Ridge a GREAT PLACE TO LIVE! We Strongly RECOMMEND that you Check out Bonnie Ridge Apartments if you are looking for a Place to Relax and Enjoy...and call HOME.
In general I love living here.. the apartments are older so I've had some repairs/leaks etc.. the staff is always helpful and accommodating trying to do their best to resolve any problems. Devin, Weldon and Steve go above and beyond to help residents improve quality of living!! Keep up the good work :)
As long as you don't run into NOT A SINGLE issue this is a great place. You'll never be able to use the pool because of kids, the gym is tiny, and if you live at the end of a street you'll never be able to park close to your home. I've lived here for over two years and I've decided it sucks. We had our AC break repeatedly and I'm not convinced they ever truelly fixed it and if we stay another year it would break again. It took multiple calls and work orders to even get them to actually come and fix it. (They just kept sending people who would diagnose there was an issue and then leave) in the end it took 2 weeks to get it fixed. When it did get fixed They didn't even tell us (we were out of town at the time) Also sucks if you accidentally park in a "reserved" spot because it's fallen over or is not clearly centered on the spot. They won't call you and let you know they towed the car they just take it and leave you to wonder what happened. I parked there once by accident because I couldn't see the sign. They were very helpful in providing what happened to my car but for some reason couldn't be bothered to shoot me and email?? I live here too sorry I don't pay for a reserved spot... Also they won't do ANYTHING for obnoxiously loud neighbors they say they will but for two years our lower neighbors have been obnoxiously loud at all times of the day. In fact they sent all the apartments an email saying to stop sending in noise complaints. The office workers are nice, but the actual experience here isn't great. It is a nice area so if you feel like you can roll the dice go for it.
Moved in for 2 months and all-around happy with my decision. The apartment is a great value for its spaciousness and safety of the surrounding area. I worked with Devin when signing the lease and moving in. She has been awesome and made the move-in experience as smooth as possible. We have had a few maintenance issues that were resolved within 2 days. Unfortunately we have also had one mice encounter last month and pest control had to come in. Not sure how frequent this problem usually is - it hasn't been a problem for us since then. Personally, the location and apartment size here is preferred over apartments near the JHU Homewood campus - for similar prices, those are smaller and more crowded.
The apartments themselves are average. If you have a cat, you won’t have mice. However, the maintenance is horrendous. The front office staff does not care about the residents. I have had low water pressure for two months and was told to call the city to complain. I was told maintenance cannot be called to help. If you want running water, do not move here.
Great place to live….service is great, Thanks STEVE
STAY AWAY!!!! I moved in a month ago and it has been a nightmare since! The sockets don’t work I’ve been shocked several times, my stove didn’t work and when they replaced it, it wasn’t properly installed causing a gas leak at 4am, had to call BGE. and the worst happened last night when the upstairs washing machine flooded my apartment. And when I say flooded I thought it was raining in my kitchen. Water pouring from the walls cabinets and ceiling. My light fixture came inches from falling on my pregnant girlfriend. I called maintenance who couldn’t do much of anything until everything dries. I went to the management office and was immediately turned away and was told to contact maintenance! No accommodations have been made, no apologies and now my apartment has severe water damage my expensive furniture is ruined and the smell of mold is overpowering!!! I emailed corporate and awaiting on a response I have also been in contact with my attorney! This is extremely unacceptable for the amount of rent I pay. I highly recommend that you look further. The dumpsters are a whole nother disgusting situation there’s only one area for trash for a complex with at least 1000 units and it’s trash everywhere causing it to be a major housing area for rodents!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!
I moved here 2019, this is my first apartment and I say will has been real learning experience. It’s so many complications that I don’t know where to began. 1) the kitchen flooded from “old pipes”. They repaired it during daughter’s birthday party. 2) the appliances are outdated and when my oven went up … maintenance have came to “look” at it and claimed the oven needed a new part. They never fixed my oven and my first maintenance ticket was during the winter 2020. It June 2021. 3) i put a ticket in for my fire/carbon dioxide alarm to be replaced because I noticed it wasn’t working anymore. Maintenance came and replaced it with another one with a “old battery” that wouldn’t stop saying “battery low”. I called back for maintenance to replace the replacement fire alarm and no replacement. That’s a major safety concern!!! This is the last straw for me 4) my floor is now flooding again but it’s in my hallway this time . we no idea where it’s coming from and no help from management. Maintenance has not been out to “look” or return our calls. This also a safety concern. I wouldn’t suggest this apartment complex to anyone. The community and location is the one ONLY benefit but the service is horrible!!!! Maintenance Management needs major improvement!!!
Devin is a great leasing Agent!! Super prompt, thorough and a World-Class personality!!! She's always available when needed. Unfortunately due to Covid and maybe some transitions from the maintenence staff they can be a bit slow to respond but always get the job done professionally.
I have been here about a year now and I love living at Bonnie Ridge. The office staff are always helpful, there are lots of little trails through the complex which are perfect for walking my dog, and it generally feels like a safe area to live.
Having lived at Bonnie Ridge on-and-off for 4 years, I can tell you with absolute certainty that Devin is the best leasing manager I have ever dealt with over all my apartment years (Bonnie Ridge and elsewhere). She assisted us with getting our apartment, checked on us to make sure we were settled and comfortable, and since that move she has always responded to our requests or provided answers to any and all of our questions. Bonnie Ridge is greet, but Devin makes it truly better! We are grateful that she is around! What a blessing.
Maintenance sucks, I've been without air conditioning for a month.
Overpriced and outdated units; lack of transparency; high annual rent increases; lack of communication; considerable decrease in the aesthetic of the community (overgrown grass; horrendous trash area).
There has been an ongoing gas outage to over 250 apartments for 16 days. Management doesn't seem to care at all. People have been using space heaters to keep warm, sharing 6 showers at the office gym, and living with the constant disruption of construction (on the days the construction is actually taking place, because if it's cold or rainy they haven't even been here).
Positives: Rent is cheap, bge is cheap, great parking, dog and cat friendly, I’ve had one spider the entire time living here, zero mice, appliances work great Negatives: Neighbors are loud and smoke which goes into your unit, Office does nothing about noisy neighbors, rent goes up a lot with renewal, dead and live birds in the apartment, ceiling has many cracks even had my ceiling replaced, trash all over complex, did I mention extremely loud neighbors (music, yelling, fighting, thin walls, smoking)

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your thoughtful and candid feedback. Unfortunately, noise is a challenge in multifamily housing as it can be somewhat subjective. That said, we do have rules and regulations intended to 'define' what's reasonable and that allow us to address any issues. If you feel we have not been thorough in addressing your issue, please feel free to reach out to our property manager, Tess, at TeresaWe@homeproperties.com. Thank you for your residency and your patience!
The YES Energy bills are a con, they completely over charged us for what we used and we were passed back and forth between the energy company and the office staff at Bonnie Ridge, and we basically told to deal with it. Our combined energy and water bill was $260 some months for a 2 bedroom apartment and considering a house does not cost this much I do not understand where their charges come from. Even when we were away a lot our bills were still high. We had a severe mold problem in our children's bedroom that took several days and 3 different maintenance staff plus the supervisor to resolve because no one would listen to us and it got so bad we had to move our kids out of the room. Eventually it was cleaned up and a new segment of carpet was put down that did not match the rest of the room. The dumpsters are communal and constantly overflowing, blowing down polluting the littering the village. I am surprised they have not been fined. We had mice problems in the summer months as well. Trying to get anything resolved with the office staff is impossible because no single person ever calls you back. This is the worst living experience of my life.
Do yourself a favor and don't sign a lease here. Pest problem all around, terrible managers and maintenance No one to talk to. 5 months to go, I am out of here.

Being a 4th year residents, rent has increased ~5-7% annually, so be prepared for it. Price and value was good couple years ago, but the price rise in the recent year doesn't reflect on better maintenances. ie. Snow removal was terrible and below average this year in 2016, probably lack of maintenance work force.
excellent, low cost , very clean, no pests, and quiet. the best apartment in town.
The location is great, the price is right, and the apartments are spacious with energy efficient features and in-home washer/dryer (a must for me!). The only problems are minor. The trash dump area is overflowing nearly every Monday morning as the weekend's trash piles up. They often have a maintenance person down there trying to police it up but it's unsightly and surely attracts pests. But since you don't even have to drive by the area unless you are dumping trash this is not a big deal. Another small issue is that the leasing office isn't very good at communication. They ONLY communicate by leaving a flyer on your door (for maintenance, parking lot re-painting, whatever). So if you get home after the office closes you have NO chance to respond or ask a question until the morning. It's 2015 people... I have an email address! All in all it's a cosy place to live
Located just outside the city. You will love the apartment community.
This community is in a great location especially if you have children. It is located in one of the best schools in Baltimore County. Bonnie Ridge gives you great access to the city without having to actually live in it. The community is quite and the neighbors are really nice.
This would be the best apartment for you if you like to live close to the city, but want to live in a quiet area. My neighbors are great. I had a package of very valuable items delivered here and the delivery guys left it right outside of my door and no one even bothered it. The floor plans are great and its just an all around nice place to live.

Thank you for your review! We agree, our location in Mount Washington is a fantastic one, both close to the city, with plenty of green space, and proximity to those necessary, everyday conveniences. We think our apartments are pretty great too! Thank you for making your home at Bonnie Ridge!
I really love Bonnie ridge it's a great neighborhood with easy access to the highway ! It has a gym, pool, fitness trail, and split level apartments w/ W/D IN UNIT great community for kids only thing they are a little expensive
We have had a great experience living at Bonnie Ridge Apartments. The staff are wonderfully helpful, the ease of paying online is awesome, and the amenities such as the pool and gym are amazing. The trim work in the apartment could use some updating and the paint isn't very high quality, but otherwise it is spacious and has a cute layout.
My two dogs, Rosebud and Jack, and I just recently moved from Santa Fe, NM to Baltimore MD. and it has been quite a big change. I came from my 1600 sq. ft. home on over three acres to a one bedroom, 780 sq. ft. apartment. I have done considerable downsizing! I gave away a lot before leaving NM with a standard reminder to myself being, "I am moving into a one bedroom apartment!" There was lots more downsizing after I arrived because as I kept reminding myself, "I have moved into a one bedroom apartment!" However, now that I'm settle with everything in its place, my new inner mantra is, "It can work. I can live here!" I am comfortable in my split level apartment. I love having the two floors. The design offers space and privacy with the living space for socializing and the bedroom for privacy. Also, the services provided for fixing things is excellent. It gets done well and in short order. The biggest change that I was anticipating though was going from a rural setting, with 3 acres of my own to an apartment community, however with the 76 acres that the apartment sits on with Fitness Trails, green lawns, and dog parks for Rosebud and Jack plus the many beautiful groves of trees throughout, I decided it can work, I can live here!
I moved to Baltimore from Arizona where things are more modern and updated. When I found Bonnie Ridge I was excited. It wasn't as nice as what I was used to but it was better than what I was seeing. The neighborhood is beautiful, safe, and quiet. The staff in the office was great! The only issues that I had were a leaks, ants, and spiders occasionally. There was one in my bedroom that took 3 attempts to finally fix, a leak in my bathroom that took 2 attempts and a new ceiling to fix, and a leak in one of my closets that caused a little mold that was fixed about 4 days after I reported it. I was not used to ants being anywhere in my apartment and one day they were everywhere (keep in mind that I am on the bottom/ basement level). To be honest I'm not sure if they came out to do anything or if the ant spray I bought worked, but the ants are gone for sure. The reason I am moving is because I would like to save some money and I feel that with the rent as high as it is, the repairs that were needed should have been fixed the first time.
This is a good alternative if you are looking for a good amount of space for a great price. The units are of older construction so each building shared a water heating system and it would not go higher than 75 in the winter, which left me freezing. The windows are single pane as well and there are gaps in the doors so it was hard to regulate temperature. I did have an issue with pests. There were several bugs I stumbled upon throughout my stay and well as a few mice. They do not really so pest control so this was an issue for me. Staff was friendly and tended to my needs in a timely manner.
