Have absolutely loved my apartment thus far!!! Roshaunda and Melissa are amazing and were very helpful in helping my wife and I move down from Reno. Matinence has been prompt and efficient. This is the first apartment I’ve had where the staff treats you like a person instead of just another tenant.

My husband and I lived at Copper Canyon for over a year before we moved out last month. Other than just some outdated things within the apartment, our experience was a good one. Management and maintenance were always on top of any issues we had and did their best to get things done within a timely manner. For being on a Main Street, the complex is pretty quiet and most neighbors are nice. I would recommend this as a good place to move.
I moved here about a decade and a half ago (when it was known as Shadow Mountain Apartments). Since then, it's undergone management changes and is now known as Copper Canyon Apartments. For the most part, I haven't had much complaints until lately. The biggest advantage is that the neighborhood and community is remarkably crime-free compared to most other places in Phoenix. The intersection is a bit dangerous though in regards to traffic accidents and there have been cars that have crashed into either an apartment or the main sign. Yes, I have seen rate increases each time i renew my lease though it's not as out of control as some other places - in the last 13 years, my rent for a one bedroom has gone to just over $500 to just over $600. Some of the issues I've experienced is tendency for air conditioning unit to need repair. The air conditioning doesn't circulate too well to my bedroom. The washers/dryers in the laundry room often break down. But most significantly, I've experienced a flooded apartment THREE separate times. Once the upstairs bathroom flooded which pretty much just affected the bathroom area. Another time an adjacent apartment flooded. The tiles on my bathroom floor have been discolored since. Within the last year, the upstairs apartment flooded AS A RESULT OF THE STAFF'S MISTAKE. They made no attempt to do anything to make things up for the incident - no concession on my rent or anything. The dining area ceiling fan needed to be replaced and they did a shoddy job of it - it looks like it could fall out of the ceiling! Someone mixed up the ceiling spackle paint in my kitchen sink and massively clogged it up in the process. Another incident worth mentioning is one time I got a call from the office notifying me that it hadn't received my latest rent check - even though I had dropped it in their rent slotbox. I gave them all the pertinent info - check #, bank, the fact it was inside a plain white envelope with my apt number on it - and they still couldn't find it and I had to stop payment on the old check and write a new one. To their credit, they didn't charge any additional fees but I find it very unnerving that my rent check may not be "safe" after I've dropped it in the slot. So yes, I've had some problems and headaches and am not sure I trust the current management. But I'm still aware that compared to a lot of other places, the good does mostly outweigh the bad and I'm very thankful to live here.
