Bordered by the Tennessee River, Florence, AL offers its residents both a metropolitan yet localized experience. Home to the University of North Alabama, Florence has a vibrant downtown area, outdoor activities, and historic landmarks to enjoy. There is something for everyone in this diverse and growing city.
The Tennessee River makes for some great fishing. From a casual afternoon at a creek to a competitive fly-fishing tournament, the river and creeks will provide you with some of the best fishing around. Historic downtown offers a vibrant, big-city atmosphere, especially on the first Friday of every summer and fall month when local artists and musicians line the streets for an evening of culture and art.
Another hot attraction is McFarland Park, located between the Tennessee River and Downtown Florence. This massive 200-acre park features trails, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and sport fields.

Property Ratings at Copper Creek Townhomes
Copper Creek's facility is pretty nice for the Florence area. The prices are high though for what you actually receive. These are the issues I experienced: 1. Maintenance - If you need something done, better hope you don't need it quickly! 2. Yard Crew - The crew comes super early in the morning and leaves debris all over sidewalks and porches. They never clean it up and always get your porch furniture dirty. 3. Parking - Parking is often scarce. 4. Breaking a lease - DON'T. This place will scam you into paying a very large reletting fee (one month's rent) PLUS half of the rent you would owe for each remaining month on the lease PLUS a cleaning fee. Overall, to leave this place I paid $2500. This is absolutely ridiculous and I'd advise not moving here unless you're 100% sure you can stay for your entire lease. 5. Management - The management here is often confused and inconsistent. 6. Policies - The management was not strict about their policies of cleanliness in keeping up the appearance of the town homes. Several homes had trash piled up on their porch for days (weeks...) as well as kiddy toys and a kiddy pool, etc. in their yard. All of these things are forbidden in the lease but no action was taken. 7. Pet fee - This fee is extremely high! I definitely would not live here again and I'd advise you not to either!
