Property Ratings at Copper Pointe
This property is deceiving the pictures look luxurious however this is not the case. The 2 parking spaces are a joke especially for the astronomical prices they charge... pest and trash are a huge issue as well as drug dealers in almost every buidling..building... AVOID if your a working professional as you won't feel at home here.
Hidden fees for everything. Outdated apartments for premium prices. Convenient parking is nonexistent. You receive frequent letters because of neighbors. 2 weeks or more to get anything fixed. Little to no notice of apartment access by contras. Better places to live for how Mulhouse are charged
Pictures are misleading. Old apartments that they slapped a coat of paint on. Quick, cheap renovations. Thin walls so neighbors can be noisy. Had someone attempt to break into my apartment at 1:00 AM. Had several sketchy encounters while going to and from my car at night. Not enough parking. Prepare to park a good distance away, especially on the weekends. Tow truck frequents the complex so make sure friends and family don't park in residents parking or they will tow it unknowingly and make you pay for it. A/C unit was at least 20 years old and went out multiple times. Apartment also flooded several times during heavy rain. Hardly any green space or landscaping. Mostly dirt and mulch that is littered with dog poop. Good location but not worth the headaches.
Beautiful property! I love the new gym and the convenient location! Office staff is very helpful!
I’ve lived here for almost 2 years now, and the staff has been amazing! The maintenance team is always there when I need them, and they make living here worth it! Shout out to Copper Pointe!
Poor management, they do not care about their residents. We were filled as they are of course nice to prospective residents. This place is awful! Car break ins, trash left everywhere, absolutely no parking (even though you have to have a parking pass), maintenance comes in your home whenever they want...they will even leave your door wide open.
This place has so many problems. It is constantly under construction so all of the facilities are closed, the staff comes into your apartment all the time without knocking, and they have to spray chemicals all the time because of the BUG PROBLEM. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
Lived here for 1 year after moving to Knoxville from out of state. Our apartment flooded 3 times, once with 2inches of water throughout. Office/maintenance did not make any changes so our bedrooms kept flooding with practically any rainfall. Had to sleep on living room sofa for weeks because they did not make any arrangements, even after asking. (They wanted to charge us 300-500$ + renewed 12 month lease to change rooms...) Worst apartments I’ve ever experienced. Consider it a red flag when a lease has a bolded mold section... RUN!! It’s gross, stuffy and smells like mildew in the apartments. Very sloppy apartments, they might look good on the outside but the foundation/interior is ridiculously awful, should not be legal. Saw immediate relief (sinuses) when moved into a new apartment.
This place changes management so frequently that everything they tell you when you move in is no longer the case when you move out. Was here for two years. I specifically asked what the rules were on painting. They said, “please feel free! we just ask that you paint the wall back before you move out. bring your gallon to the office and we will fill it with our color at no charge”. I’m in the process of moving out so I go to get said paint and they look at me like I’m crazy for asking. They only provide “touch up paint” and that I need to go buy primer so that I can prime the wall for them so they can paint it after I’m gone. Literally did not show ANY UNDERSTANDING for someone who has literally been here LONGER THAN THEM. That’s only just today. Do not move here. You will pay a fortune and you will regret it. Take notice that all the 5 star reviews were posted BEFORE the resident even moved in.

Worst experience ever. The buildings are old as dirt so the walls are paper thin. You can see the cracks between the walls and doors/windows so it stays hot or cold with the seasons. Dog poop is literally everywhere. They have a poop policy so they swabbed my dogs mouths for dna so if I did not pick up their poop, I would be fined $200. That’s crap because there is dog poop on every corner. They also require a non refundable pet fee per pet. Normal right? Nope because they pet fee doesn’t cover any damages the pet might have caused. So what does the pet fee go towards??? Nothing. I owe $500 for “pet damage” that they cannot even specify on (because there were no damages). They are just out to get your money and rip you off. People speed around so fast it’s unsafe. No natural light is provided in apartments besides tiny windows. No ceiling fans or lights either. It’s basically a cave. The office staff has multiple times signed for my packages that I did not receive and then said they did not even have my packages. Well they did. I found out weeks later they had my mail. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for your next home to avoid the sleaziest place in Knoxville.

I just signed a new lease and then tried to go use the pool for the first time ever and was told there is a $50 charge for a pool pass! Never ever heard of this anywhere I have lived! It’s not in the lease anywhere! Can’t believe it...honestly disappointed....

Dog poop everywhere! I missed picking up poop one time (allegedly) and they want to charge me $200 while I’m constantly seeing it and stepping in it. I didn’t pay and they added a $99 late charge after one day and a letter threatening evection. The new office staff is incompetent and can’t add correctly! Lol. Parking can be quite a hassle. Dishwasher doesn’t wash dishes. Maintenance came to fix it but said it was working just fine. Property is not really disabled friendly, and they don’t hire disabled persons. Trees are pretty though!

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear about your experience. If you would come by the leasing office, we'd love to have the opportunity to apologize personally and try to make it right.
Truly one of the better properties Knoxville, TN has to offer. Very professional office staff, efficient and quick maintenance team, beautiful land, and gorgeous/large apartment homes. Would recommend to any friend moving to Knoxville for long term or short term.
The only reason I never wrote a review on the apartment complex is because I had a good relationship with the maintenance staff and cleaning crew and did not want to harm their income. However, I finally cannot keep silent anymore. Bottom line is this company stole from my security deposit and that is when the gloves finally came off. To begin with, there are drug dealers who live here and I know for a fact that the KPD has performed two raids since I moved in on September 2016 until I moved out on May 2018. The first drug raid was so bad that people were not allowed to leave their apartments just in case things were to escalate and bullets would start flying around that was Spring of 2017. At least four people were all arrested that day. The next drug bust happened not to long before my move in date almost like clock work as the bust happened Spring of 2018. Mind you both were very memorable as I was walking my German Shepherd and the near altercation of your dog with a police service dog is something that sticks with you... I am no Michael Vick and that is a fight I would hate to see. More about my dog. I have lost two pairs of shoes walking my dog and cleaning up after my dog only to find that other owners are not doing the same. At one point the dog poop left behind got so bad that if you walked your dog anywhere else beside the road then you were going to step on dog poop especially there were pine needles on the ground which is nearly every grassy area on the property. It's a long story but that is because I am trying to spare you from losing your money and getting frustrated with management. Do not move in. If you are always asking for them to fix things or clean up dog poop then you will not get your deposit or will have to pay for damages that are fabricated and significantly overpriced. Tell me how can anyone be charged $856 for damages if there are no holes in the wall or floor and all doors and cabinets wiring and windows are exactly like you found them when you moved in? It does not happen if you never complained. So what did I complain to management about? Dog poop that had not been removed for 4 months until there was nowhere I could walk without stepping on dog poop and ruining two pairs of shoes. I mean why should I pay for a non-refundable pet deposit of $250 per pet and for a pet DNA test if I am the only one cleaning up after my pet? So, what else is wrong with this place?

Elijah, thank you for your review. All feedback is important and helps us improve our community for our current and future residents. As you may know, I have only been the property manager for this community for a short time, but I have been working tirelessly to achieve a high standard of communication with our residents in order to ensure that all their needs and concerns are met in a timely manner. We are a pet friendly community and love all of our furry friends - but as expected, it is up to the individual owners to take care of and pick up after those friends. I cannot speak to any illegal activity you've mentioned in this review as they happened before my time. We are not in the habit of punishing residents for complaining, as we highly value those complaints and use them to achieve a higher standard of service. That being said, you are always welcome to reach out directly to the leasing office if you need any charges explained, or have any questions about your lease. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you to resolve these issues. Best, Trista.
I LOVE living at Copper Pointe! Our apartment has beautiful updates and the office staff is friendly and helpful!
During my stay at Copper Pointe Floyd’s Wrecker Service improperly towed my vehicle although I was in full compliance with paragraph twelve (12) of my lease agreement and visibly displayed my parking tag on my vehicle. As a result of this blatantly improper towing I was not only late to work, but had to pay for an uber service to take me to the towing service. Copper Pointe and Floyds were aware of their mistakes. Floyd's admitted to the imporper towing, and nothing was done. There was no reimbursement. Even more troubling, I am a young, single female with no family in Knoxville, Tennessee. Had it not been for the improper and intolerable actions of Copper Pointes paid towing vendor, I would not have had to suffer from the emotional trauma of believing my car had been stolen and the physical damage of missing work in an attempt to locate a vehicle that should never have been towed in the first place. Copper Pointe Apartments utilizes an online portal for payment of rents. At the conclusion of my lease I had a $365.20 surplus in my online account. Without proper notice or any apparent justification, Copper Pointe Apartments seized these funds and informed me that I owed a remaining balance of $12. Copper Pointe Apartments further informed mer there was no damage to my apartment. Simply put, I never submitted my rent payment past its due date as indicated in the lease. Therefore, the seizure of funds from my account is improper, unlawful, and entirely without justification. Copper Point Apartments does not have clean hands in this matter. Despite my repeated and documents requests for repairs: (i) the light in my kitchen never functioned properly, or at all; (ii) the air conditioner never worked properly; (iii) an electrical problem in the spare bedroom rendered two hairdryers inoperable, thereby causing further property damage; (iv) the bathroom tub twice leaked into the downstairs apartment; and (v) I was subjected to recurring mold in the bathroom tub that could not be cured by daily cleaning. Upon information and belief, the foundation of the bathroom tub contains extensive mold and threatened my health. In sum, my year-long stay at Copper Pointe Apartments was a utter nightmare. I would NOT recommend this complex to my worst enemy. Upon moving out a sent a letter to Copper Pointe office as well as their corporate office demanding a refund of the $365.20. Almost 3 months later and I still have not received a response from them. .
I've lived at Copper Pointe for two years now and couldn't be happier! The location is close to West Town Mall and only about 10 minutes tops from either Downtown Knoxville or Turkey Creek. Easy access to the interstate is great since I travel for work. Not to mention the rent is extremely affordable, especially with all the new upgrades. The Copper Pointe staff is always looking to make this place feel like home. They plan monthly events all throughout the year and my favorite is resident appreciation week. Another wonderful perk about Copper Pointe is that they will take your dog out for a potty break if you're going to be gone more than normal hours for FREE. Of course you have to schedule this ahead of time because they book up fast. Love that they are such a pet friendly property. If you are looking for a place to live in Knoxville, I highly recommend Copper Pointe!

Thank you so much for your feedback! We are so glad that you are enjoying your home and community! As always, please let us know if there is anything that we can do for you! Cindy Williams, Property Manager
We lived at Copper Pointe for 2 years now. We lived in a few different apartment complexs and Copper Pointe is by far the best apartment home we have lived in. The residents are all so friendly, as well as the office staff. There is events almost every month. My personal favorite is the food drive fall festival. Yes, it really is a festival. I also enjoy the rolling cart happy hour. We have a German Shepherd, they are extremely pet friendly. They also do PooPrints. It is wonderful that they care about the property so much. They have a dog park so your dog can get some exercise. The property manager is a lot of fun and loves her residents. Her team will go above and beyond to help with anything they can. It's just a great safe place to live.

First things first: DO NOT LIVE HERE. Everyone in the office is so incredibly fake that its almost shocking. They do not answer the phone on the first call at least 85% of the time, and when you do finally luck into someone moseying around the office to go to a phone and pick it up, all they can do is apologize. They have no clue about customer service or how to ensure that you live comfortably here even though the actual value you get for the high-priced rent is terrible. In June-August, the A/C was completely non-functional and after replacing essentially every single thing they could for cheap, they ended up having to replace both the interior and exterior units in order to get it working properly. As they admitted to me openly, these units have not been updated since the late-1970s. So basically, unless you get to live in the building I am moving from, expect your A/C to not work in the hottest parts of the summer. Lord only knows how this place actually adheres to any of the city's fire code. Yet, somehow, they one-upped themselves from the A/C fiasco by locking one of my cats into the closet for a day and a half when I used their Pet-Sitting Service. "How?" you may ask. Well, as it turns out, the office staff is quite nosy and insisted on opening the closet door which I had purposely left closed. At some point, our cat went into the open closet, and as the staff member retraced her steps to cover up her snooping, she re-closed the door, leaving the cat trapped inside. And, to top that off, she also closed the laundry room door where the litter box is kept, so when I returned from my trip, the cats had gone to the bathroom all over the dining room floor. Seriously, you would be better off sleeping under one of the awnings in the Bearden High School Parking lot across the street. Copper Pointe apartments are absolutely horrible. Don't let the phony leasing agents fool you, you will be in for a total nightmare if you get tricked into living here. There is a reason they constantly have "unbelievable" move-in specials. Once you are trapped here, they forget entirely about any standard of living that they promised you before you sign your name on the lease.

Thank you for your feedback. I would love to continue this conversation in person if you would like to give me a call at our office - 865.690.7940. In response to your review: First, I am sorry that your perception is that our office team is fake and 'mosey' around the office. In reality, we are a team of hard working professionals (in an extremely fast paced office) that genuinely care about our residents and guests. We work extremely hard to accommodate requests and provide a great place to call home. That is why we do what we do - because we truly want our residents to enjoy their apartment and the community. I invite anyone who is reading this to please stop by in person and meet us so that you can make your own assessment. Also, please check out our Facebook page - www.facebook.com/copperpointe where you can see tons of pictures and info about all of our great community events. Second, I again apologize that you experienced trouble with your A/C unit. Unfortunately, sometimes things do break and we then work very hard to resolve the issue and get units back up and running. As you have stated, we did actually install a BRAND NEW a/c unit for you in order to resolve your issue. As you will recall, we also gave you a LARGE RENT DISCOUNT to compensate for your inconvenience as well as any additional utility costs you may have experienced. At the time of this discount, you stated that you were very pleased with this resolution. There are no additional service requests on record for you since July 2016; therefore, as you stated in our most recent conversation, we were able to satisfactorily resolve your issue. Third, in regards to your issues with our complimentary pet sitting service, as we have discussed, it is absolutely against our policy to snoop through our residents home. We have no reason to open doors that are closed. Our complimentary pet sitting service is used every day and we have never had this type of complaint. As you will recall, your food bowls and litter box are not anywhere near the location of your bedroom or closet; therefore, we would have no reason to go in those rooms. In addition, we also had to take care of a dog that evening and based on our Handi Trak system of when keys were checked in and out, there was not enough time available to do more than what we stated, feed your cats and clean the litter box. As we have discussed, we are able to keep our keys secured and know times they are checked out and by whom through our convenient Handi Trak system. Lastly, we do offer amazing move-in specials on a very constant basis because we enjoy promotions and we enjoy making the move-in process a little easier on the budget. We also give specials at renewal time and offer fun freebies all year long in the form of contests and events. Again, simply because we love giving back to people and we love having fun at our work place. Thanks again for your feedback. I would love to continue this conversation in person if you would like to give me a call at our office - 865.690.7940. Excellent experience coming to Copper Pointe. Moved to Tennessee from California and the transition was painless. Nice remodeling on the units, friendly staff, and great location.
I am so happy to live in a community that grows with their residents. How exciting! I moved here in March of 2013 with my then 3-year old. We barely knew anyone in the community, and I was not exactly the person who liked to make friends with other residents. Over the past few years, with my own life's ups and downs, that opinion has changed drastically, and I have always been happy to come home to my apartment. They do monthly community events that bring people together, and even do a kid's club thing on Thursdays, at which my daughter has made several friends... That being said, if you are looking for an apartment community that not only provides excellent customer service AND bedside manner, definitely give Copper Pointe a chance. The office staff is both friendly and professional, and make every effort to make sure your needs are met, not only in a timely manner, but with a smile and friendly word. Their maintenance staff is extremely efficient, and helpful to a fault. I most definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a place to fall in love with.
Our apt is wonderful. The staff here are so nice and willing to help when needed. When we need something fix they are quick to respond and fix the problem. We have a nice size pool with tennis courts beside it. We have a nice workout room and a laundry room if you do not have a washer and drier. One thing I like is that they are very much a pet friendly place. Through out the year we different activities with everyone such as thankdriving dinner, chilli cook off, and resident appreciation we with different things each day.
