Property Ratings at MAA Copper Ridge
Copper Ridge is a nice community! It is clean and well maintained! Very quiet for apartment living! Amenities are nice and well maintained.
Very nice gated community. Apartment was very nice, convenient location and office staff was very helpful always. Grounds were kept very nice.
Over all it's good. There are small aggravations, such as, not all residents pick up after their dogs, the office staff with the exception of one person is great. Most of the repairs that have had to be made have been quick but there is one that has not ever been corrected. The rent increases are aggravating, as we've been here three years, they have increased continually. We will be leaving this year and moving into a home.
Overall its average. Grounds maintenance could use improvement, trash service is sub par. Spotty of when they will or will not pick up. At least twice a month me trash will sit for a day or two. The main dumpster is consistently overflowing. Office staff and management went through a staffing change in the last year or so. They are not the friendliest and I make it a point to not interact with them due to the lack of customer service skills.
Quiet complex as a whole. 1 bedroom unit/garage is nice and cozy with enough storage space in kitchen, large bathroom. Bedroom holds king bed comfortably with 2 night stands dresser and small desk and large walk in closet. Any unit close to I 114 may hear traffic more so in winter due to lost tree foliage . Railroad tracks/sound nearby are not a problem. The complex isn't perfect but pretty darn close. All appliances were relatively new except for the refrigerator. This detracts from the appearance of the kitchen as a whole.
I have lived at copper ridge for 2 1\2 years. Six months ago, an employee that works for the apartment corporation moved in to the apartment above mine. She continually throws her cigarette butts, empty cigarette boxes and lighters off her balcony landing around my patio and front door. I have complained to the office, showed pictures of the debris to the office, even picked up the debris and took it to the office twelve times in the last six months. Nothing has been done. Last week I called the corporate number on the website. A man listened to me and gave me a case number. I have not gotten any response. Overall, residents do not pick up after themselves or their pets. There are children's toys laying around the common areas. The slide on the playground is broken and a hazard to children. I look forward to moving out and not living in a MAA complex.

I really liked this complex and it is close to my work; however I do not have a TV for religious reasons. They said there was no way to get around charging me for the cable services. I understand if they have a contract with a cable company and if you live there, that is who you have to have cable through; however is someone has religious objections to television, I think that they should make an exception. Unfortunately, even though I like the property, I will not be moving there.

I originally picked Copper Ridge because it was close to work, but thought it would be a short term stay until I found a house. Fastforward 4 years and I'm still here. Not only has the staff always been helpful when I needed something done in the apartment, but they even went above and beyond for me... taking care of my dogs when I was out of reach in Africa. My dog sitter got locked out and they didn't want to let someone they didn't know into my apartment (makes sense). So they took turns making sure my pups were fed and walked until I was able to be reached. I also really like the convenience of the valet trash service! My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5, is that last year they implemented pet rent. It's not a lot, but that was one thing that I really liked and it kind of set them apart when I was apartment hunting. Otherwise...no complaints. Been here much longer than planned because it ended up being a great place to live. One last thing...it's about a mile from Oak St. If you don't know Oak St...google it or go see for yourself. You will fall in love with Roanke after visiting Oak St.
