Property Ratings at Copperline at Village Oaks
When I reserved a rental property here and paid the deposit, they very quietly rented that renovated property to someone else and I only found out about it when I showed up. The unit I got had single pane windows (which let in so much sound and heat), leaky bathroom sink, leaky bathroom tub faucet, leaking air conditioner unit, floors that were coming apart, inconvenient and floor to ceiling sliding windows in the bedroom, etc. The worst part were the needles and theft. I know neighbors who do not park in the lot anymore due to vandalism. Finally, the new owners have added about $100 of additional fees to the the rent and they are not very helpful when it comes to dealing with issues. I would not recommend

We’re truly sorry to hear that you haven’t enjoyed your time at our community. We’d like the opportunity to improve your experience and discuss your concerns further. Please give us a call at (737) 227-0302 or stop by the leasing office when you get the chance.
This property was not as described! The pictures of the outside is not the complex you will be staying. There are 2 complex and one is not too bad and one is really run down! The one on pond wood rd is in not in good condition! The one this property is in is run down. The outside was nasty! The inside of the property was just as bad! The owner list it as non-smoking! When you walk in all you can smell smoke so bad!It wasnt cleaned as described! You stuck to the floors as you walked. There were feet prints everywhere (see them as you opened the door), counters were dirty, trash on the floor and the worse part was the "ROACHES"! There is no visitor parking in this complex according to the leasing company Tide! The parking she says on the street has signs saying no parking from certain times! In an email she says there is parking in front of the apartment but she doesnt state you cant park there until after she sends the check-in info. you cant park directly in front of the apartment! When it came about the pool she lied about the location. It is not in the same complex and a few steps away like she claimed! She failed to tell us the pool was closed on certain days. The pool smelled like bleach so bad and your skin feels like it is burning you really cant stay in long. It was dirty and people smoking weed! They looked like a bunch of kids!
We moved in May 28th and since June 12th we have endured the oppressive Texas heat without functioning air conditioning, and the lackluster response from the management team has been utterly disappointing. We weren’t even offered a window unit and had to obtain one ourselves. Living in a complex that fails to address such a basic necessity is simply unacceptable. It is mind-boggling that management showed such disregard for the well-being and comfort of its residents including our small children 2 of which have special needs. Numerous complaints have fallen on deaf ears, with little to no action taken to resolve the air conditioning problem and every time they do come out they insult our intelligence by insisting it’s working or blaming us for it not working. The absence of updates, progress reports, or even an estimated timeline for the repair has left us feeling neglected and helpless. It seems as though our pleas for relief have been conveniently ignored, while we continue to suffer through sleepless nights and unbearable days. The AC in its feeble attempts to reach a livable temperature never shuts off which is beyond expensive. With no word from management on if they will be covering part of our growing electricity bill we’ve been forced to rely solely on the window unit. The management's lack of communication throughout this ordeal has been a testament to their indifference. We have been left in the dark, desperately seeking answers and relief from the oppressive heat. Their failure to keep residents informed and their apparent lack of urgency in resolving the issue only add insult to injury. We were even scolded for letting the ac fan get so filthy and that we should and I quote “take a vacuum to it every now and then” which I calmly replied by informing them that we JUST MOVED IN! I implore anyone considering renting at The Tides to think twice before making such a decision. The lack of care and accountability exhibited during this air conditioning crisis is indicative of a management team that prioritizes their own convenience over the comfort and well-being of their residents. In conclusion, I would give the Tides a negative zero-star rating if I could. Their failure to address the air conditioning issue in a timely manner and their utter disregard for resident satisfaction have left us in an intolerable situation. Save yourself the misery and look elsewhere for a place that values its residents and ensures their basic needs are met.
They pay people to give good reviews. They will show you a wonderful apartment and give you a run down moldy broken “renovated” apartment and try to charge you with everything. Constant leaks in the roof, broken appliances, no A/C, bug problems, kids running around unsupervised, vehicles being vandalized in the middle of the night, parts stolen, gun shots, fights, no parking, dogs with no leashes, all the laundry machines are broken except for 1, once they get you to sign it’s over. And they’re raising rent to luxury prices too. This place is not safe. Don’t let the leasing office fool you. There are better and cheaper apartments. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
If I could give no stars I would. This apartment complex is THE WORST! This morning vehicle parts were stolen from my vehicle in the middle of the night. There’s no form of security, no camera or gates or patrol of any sort. There’s drugs, crime, gunshots, fights, kids running around unsupervised, dogs running around the parking lots with no leash, no parking, no maintenance, no pest control, mold everywhere, broken appliances, no A/C and they try to pin everything on you. They’re so fake and they will lie to you and show you a wonderful apartment and then move you into a dirty moldy run down place. DO NOT MOVE HERE! LEAVE REVIEWS AND SPREAD THE WORD! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL! UNSAFE!!!!! When I told her about my vehicle the manager LAUGHED at me! Don’t be fooled. Don’t rent here. Their good reviews are fake and they’ll do anything to get you to sign the lease.
Don’t listen to any good reviews. They hired them to change the opinion. Look everywhere els and this is a less than 1 star property. The management is awful, the tenants are inconsiderate, it’s next to homeless people and lots of gun shots. They inside of the apartment is NOT what you thought you’d get. They’ll give you a run down apartment and then try to charge you with all of it when you move out. They’ll also tow you for any reason and try to find any reason to charge you. Not to mention all that and they still are going to raise the rent to drive the current people out as if just because they re-paint and fill pot holes means it’s a nicer apartment. ?? RUN!
this has been the worst place that I have ever lived in my 30 years of life. We were not allowed to tour because we moved in the middle of the pandemic, which would have been fine but the virtual tour that they sent us was for a unit completely different than the one that we moved into. It was renovated and nice and had zero visible issues. The day that we came to move in, we got there at the time we were told and then found out that we had to wait for two more hours to move in. When we were finally allowed to start unloading our stuff they were still in the process of installing a dishwasher and had ten people inside of the unit cleaning. The first month that we were there maintenance people were in our unit every single day doing things that should have been done the two weeks before we moved in. There was a shattered window above the stair case with large glass shards hanging dangerously off the edge of the window sill that anytime anyone walked up or down the stairs the shards shifted on the verge of falling. It took me calling the front desk every single day for two weeks for them to even order the replacement glass for it. Our garbage disposal fell out of the sink, there was no smoke detector in the house, one of the bathrooms shower's did not work, the hot water heater needed to be completely replaced, one upstairs bedroom hasn't had working lights for ten months, and the front door doesn't stay closed if it isn't locked. There have been countless times that I have put in maintenance requests, no one ever shows up, emails you, or calls you but then I will receive an automated response asking how my fix was going. The front desk will blame this on "new management" but it's the same people in the office since I moved in and the same problems I have experienced before and after. It took TWO months of me and my roommate calling and emailing every single day just to get a key for our mailbox. I tried to purchase a reserved parking spot multiple times and every time I was met with "we aren't selling them right now" so good luck finding an unreserved spot to park even though half of them aren't being paid for anymore.
If you want shopping carts in the parking lot, homeless people wandering around at all hours, police pursuing criminals, yelling and screaming in the parking lot at 2 AM, drug transactions out in the open, roach-infested kitchens and bedrooms, then this is your 'place'. For me, not! There is nothing good here. Mgt is non-responsive. The front office people are rude, of no help, and often hang-up on you. Work orders are canceled, never to be done; they just do not fix things here. Roaches crawl over your food, on your counters, in your beds, and Mgt requests for pest control go unanswered and are often canceled; Building 2 in particular. This Mgt is worse than the last Mgt and they were bad. Very expensive rent for the complete lack of services, repairs, and courtesy. Find another place to live.

Please reach out to me directly at either 512-249-4000 or HendrixMgr@pinnacleliving.com to discuss your concerns. New management/ownership took over in September 2019 and we have made great strides in improving the property. I feel that my staff is responsive and does care about our residents. We don't have any infestations in building 2 and schedule pest control when it is requested by our residents. I look forward to hearing from you soon so that we can resolve any issues that you are having. Scott P., Property Manager.
I have had nothing but horrible experiences since moving here. I'm 6 months into a year lease and the office is on their 3rd manager. I have made several complaints of noisy tenants (some living there illegally)and nothing has been resolved. The walls are EXTREMELY thin and you can hear every little thing. The laundry room has 4 old washer/dryers (for the entire place) and only 1 washer/dryer works. I've called the laundry company multiple times and nothing... The property has pot holes EVERYWHERE and none of them get filled. They say they are pet friendly but there's always broken glass on the pavement. People don't seem to pick up their dogs poop, but that's more on the tenants than the property. Most apartments will include fitness center access as part of the lease but not here. They want you to pay $25 for a gym key. The gym is upstairs from the office and is the size of a bedroom. They had maybe 3 machines? I went to the pool once and it wasn't anything special. It was small and extremely dirty including the lawn chairs. They do not take amazon packages at the office either so its just sitting on your door step for everyone to see and they do not notify you if you have a package in the office. Let my mistake be your warning... DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Let me list off a few things that we had issues with in our time living here at The Hendrix: -Williamson County Sheriff's Office had to be called at least once a week due to the screaming neighbors and their loud music at 1:00 AM on a Tuesday. Eventually, the neighbor was arrested for domestic violence, but quickly made his way back into the apartment when he got out. Oh, and there were at least 4 people in a one-bedroom apartment, which we told The Hendrix about, but nothing was ever done. -Maintenance is a joke and parking is an even bigger joke. Like, you know how you say something funny, and someone responds and it gets a bigger laugh? That's parking, getting the bigger laugh. If you want to have a space at all, you have to pay for it. Otherwise, you're parking on the street and getting hit by a passing drunk driver. -Speaking of being charged extra, you know what else you'll get overcharged for? Valet trash and pet rent. Yes, folks, they'll double-charge you both your pet rent AND your valet trash services and not do anything about it until you say something. Because who cares about making sure your residents are happy, right? Oh, and that magical valet trash service? They won't come for weeks on end. Yes, really. -When you have to move out because you're moving to a different city, make sure to get whatever you have to pay *IN WRITING*, because the front office will say you only have to pay a concession, early termination, and two months of rent but then smack you with an almost $800 fee that you can't dispute because, while it's morally shady, it's "not technically illegal". I mean, morals are a thing of the past, anyway. Like cursive and the watusi. -And while we're talking about moving out, don't bother with giving them the correct address to send your move-out statement to, because it won't make it to you anyway. If they even send it, it ends up back in their hands without any attempts to contact you and then they send it tooo... collections! If you decide you want to contest their findings and get a detailed explanation of what your move-out fees are beyond being listed as a "write-off charge", you're going to need a lot of luck, because nobody in that office who can actually do anything will ever call you back because they're working on a "project", which we all know is code for "someone get that idiot off the phone so I can go back to playing solitaire." That's where we are today. Please, please, don't live here.

maintains was ok, ( 4 years ago). other than that I loved living here, prior to the building I lived in burned down, literally after I left. I would love to live back over here. Great location, close to everything. a big park about a mile away. Huge rooms, .. loved it!!!
The people who rate a 5 star here must be the staff and their trolls. This staff is one of the rudest I have ever met. These people don't care about fixing things around. They don't let you see the apartment before you sign and pay the deposit fee. I heard that people were missing stuff from their belongings after having a maintenance order serviced. Security it's 0.
I moved here from another state and didn't get to see the apartment. I moved in and within one month of living there I put in about a dozen work orders. Maintenance responds so slow and when they fix one thing, another thing breaks. I got fed up one day and decided to visit management and request to break the lease, the property manager seemed sincere which I appreciated and they transferred me to a better looking apartment with all upgraded appliances. Mind you when I first moved in my first apartment my electric bill was at $300 a month for two straight months and I didn't understand. Turns out that you have to replaced your filter which management provides for free but they failed to tell me this and now I'm dealing with paying this electric bill. Anyway, I moved into the other apartment which seemed great but then within a month my ceiling started leaking. They wound up opening my ceiling and covering it with a piece of cardboard and then they replaced my tub. They still haven't come back to fix the gap between the tub and the flooring or repair the ceiling so I called them up and the maintenance supervisor was told that this was completed. Lack of communication. Also, my dashboard where the knob goes is flipped so my cold was on the left side and my knob wouldn't turn. Maintenance came by and flipped it but never caulked the border of it. He doesn't seem to care. Then my central air cover fell off because it's not secured properly. Seriously, it seems as though this complex wasn't taken care of properly years ago because I know I'm not the only one. They don't even do complete apartment renovations when someone moves out and then they charge you cleaning fees up the wall as well as carpet cleaning when you move out. They charge fees for everything. I honestly don't believe I should have paid a cleaning fee for my apartment if I was transferring due to their poor quality apartments. But I let them win that one. They even had paperwork that I had a pet and tried to charge me $100 fine. Also, there are pit bulls everywhere even though they are banned. The service altogether needs work and honestly they shouldn't charge so much rent for the poor quality apartments. Instead of breaking the lease and paying two months and a re-letting fee (almost $3000) I'm going to look for a house.
Not worth the cheap rent. No parking unless you pay for it. Old appliances unless you pay $50 more per month. You pay $30 for trash. So pretty much you can add on all the extras To the cheap rent. Plus husband got his car robbed of all work tools. Door wouldn't lock. The people walking around here now Look like gang members. I watch my daughter get on and off the bus. Whatever people say about nice place to live they're bs'ing. Twice now we saw at different apartments guys climbing up on the outside rails to get In to they're apartment. Shows how safe it is to live here. Don't.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, despite the initial appearance this is actually a very safe place to live. I think it may have something to do with so many buildings and people on different schedules. Some leaving for/returning from work at all hours. Excellent access to numerous big chain stores and the bus line, along with being within walking distance to Lakeline Mall. 2 pools and a fitness room are available and the landscape is taken care of weekly. If at this point you can't afford/don't want the bother of buying your own home, I would say this is a really good place to be. Pets are allowed, restricted breeds in place for the safety of all.
I always pass by these apartments and I finally decided to come in and I was amazed!
