Bordered by a large green belt to the west and the commercial corridor of Reynolda Road to the east, Town and Country Estates combines the natural beauty of northern Winston-Salem with easy access to the city center, low housing prices, and family-friendly living. This quiet neighborhood can feel as if time forgot it, and residents like it that way.
Proximity to recreation, centers of higher education such as Wake Forest University, and the city centers of North Carolina make this neighborhood an increasingly popular choice for apartment renters. Winston-Salem's exciting, revitalized downtown core lies a mere five miles south, and the city of Greensboro is a quick drive east in Interstate 40.

Property Ratings at Corners at Crystal Lake
It’s a great complex if you’re a dog owner however be aware not all dog owners pick up poop and the complex doesn’t do anything about it! I mean if you all want to reduce my rent and I help with property maintenance that would be great bc you clearly need the help! Throwing mulch and pine needles over recent construction rather than cleaning up excess sharp rocks and debris is wild activity!

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the dog waste on our property. Rest assured, we are actively working to resolve this issue promptly. Additionally, could you please inform us of specific areas where rocks and debris need attention? We take great pride in maintaining a clean and pleasant community environment and appreciate your assistance in identifying areas that require our attention. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Although I have never resided at The Corners, my experience with the management staff made me rethink these apartments as a potential place to live. I was told to come in for an apartment showing at 5:30pm, due to my work schedule. I was en route when I called to tell them that I would be a few minutes late, due to the fact that there was a plumbing emergency that had to be addressed at my current residence (hence, the necessity and urgency to move). I arrived at 5:39pm and was refused a showing due to their "strict policy,' of not allowing apartment showings after dark. I asked why an evening appointment was schedule for me by THEIR staff, and was informed that it was not dark at 5:30.... but that it was too dark by 5:39pm, and I was essentially shrugged off. Makes me think of another review I saw about the management staff being rude and unprofessional. Seems legit. It COULD potentially be a nice place to live, but I'll never find out because this is ridiculous.

We're sorry to hear that your first impression of us was less than positive. We would appreciate a second chance at a first impression. If you are willing, please give us a call. We hope to hear from you soon and resolve any concerns you may have. Thank you, kindly.
so this place has horrible management, the maintenance guys are the only ones worth keeping their jobs. The ladies in the office are rude and don't answer the phone when people call they ignore most of them. Its nice on the outside but inside is old everything they also paint over stuff and rent is too much for what you get. Many car break-ins and not enough parking which means more car doors opening on your car and nothing you can do about it. Water bill is way over priced and its billed every month they make you pay for cable tv even if you don't want it so look else where
I moved in last July and I have really enjoyed living here. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is really nice and helpful. This is a perfect place for dog owners too. There are no breed restrictions or weight restrictions, you can have up to 2 pets, and there is a dog park and nice walking trails right on the grounds with convenient pet waste stations throughout the complex.
I spent just over a year living here, and it had some things I liked and some I didn't like. Pros: Quick maintenance. If something was wrong, they'd typically have someone there the next day. Seemingly thick walls. I'd occasionally hear a dog bark downstairs, but never heard conversations, TV or music. Friendly, helpful staff. Very attractive grounds. They spend a lot of time and effort maintaining. Excellent location, about 3 minutes from Wake Forest, 5-7 minutes from downtown. Diverse residents, and everyone seemed to get along. Cons: Price. Definitely at the higher end for what it offers. The actual apartments are definitely older. I had pretty old appliances. My a/c, despite being "repaired" several times, never functioned 100% properly (didn't work at all when I moved in...then was repaired, but it would not turn off on its own. Believe this problem was unique to my unit). Therefore, you will inevitably have to deal with the maintenance staff more than you want to. Mail in one central location and minimal garbage/recycling disposal areas so may have a few-minute walk to those. Overall, my year there was fine. I didn't love it, didn't hate it. But, I moved out after my lease ended and am pleased with that decision.
The property has some pretty great attractions. There's a dog park, pond, two grilling area, a fire pit, and of course the pool by the leasing office. Come check it out... You'll like what you see.
While these apartments are a little older than some, that have been very well maintained. In addition, the grounds are lovely and professionally maintained. The community has the traditional outdoor facilities, but has the added touch of two fishing lakes. (I am not a fisherman, but I am told they are well stocked) and a covered pavilion with grills for family gatherings. Location is excellent, as the downtown night life, shopping, dinning, recreational facilities, professional and college sports venues are all within a 10 minute drive, and many within walking distance. The staff seem to thrive on being helpful and friendly, and truly take to heart the well being of the residents.
