We moved here in November of 2022 and I’ll admit it was a rough start from not having the apartment ready, to waiting on cabinet doors for a month, etc. Everything was fixed and attended to though and we just renewed our lease in November of 2023 and upgraded to a two bedroom unit from starting in a one bedroom. The upgraded units are nice and clean and the management team were amazing with making sure it was perfect upon move in. The maintenance team has been on top of all issues recently and it’s wonderful. The office staff has changed a bit and I’m sure will continue to change but overall they get things done from what we’ve experienced. I can’t speak on behalf of the past reviews. But I will say, the renovated units are great and we haven’t had any major issues since move in. Just minor hiccups that have been fixed in a timely manner. We plan on staying for a while if we can. It’s a great starter. I will update this review if anything changes.
The gate has been broken for some time now and they refuse to fix it!!!! My car has gotten stolen TWICE WITHIN 28 DAYS!!! The office told me there is nothing they can do and they aren't held responsible. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE PLACE WITH TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT

Since moving in, the apartment has been nothing short of awful. First, the mold was everywhere. We had mold in the walls, mold in the toilet, mold in the flooring. It was truly everywhere and was caused by the extreme amount of water damage in the apartment. We put in a work order and the maintenance people came and sprayed bleach in the toilet. While we were independently tackling the mold problem, we had an infestation of carpet beetles in our apartment. There were hundreds of larvae all over the floor and in the carpet. At this point, I put in another work order and after a few days I was forced to go to front office and complain in person. I explained that we had only been living there for around one month and already had two major problems with the apartment. They sent out pest control who sprayed the outside of the apartment and the window sills inside. They did not go away. Then, around six weeks into living here, we wake up to our kitchen and bathroom flooded with water. We put in an emergency work order, as a good tenant should. We didn’t get maintenance of a response for six days. Meanwhile, we had to poke holes in our ceiling to make the water go in a central spot to capture it into a bucket. Once again, I had to physically go to the front office and complain to the manager’s face to get the problem fixed. Thankfully, they replaced the flooring after this bout of water damage so some of the mold problem was also taken care of. However, they failed to take care of the ceiling damage. Six months later and I still have a drooping ceiling because they haven’t come to fix the ceiling drywall. Then came the broken AC. We have currently been without AC for nearly 2 months. Yes, it has been cold but due to the lack of windows, when it gets above 75 outside, our apartment gets to around 85 degrees due to cooking and general living. This is a common problem in this complex apparently because all of their temporary ACs are being used for other units. Imagine living in South Texas without AC. It gets hot and humid a lot in our apartment. Which brings us to our current battle with roaches. There are a lot. Much of it has to do with the vast amount of water damage in our apartment to the cabinets, the caulking and the drywall. Even if our apartment is spotless (which it is since I’ve been extremely clean since my time in the Marine Corps), the cockroaches have rotting drywall and other rotting stuff to eat on. We spray nearly daily to keep them at bay.

Worst apartments ever, they clearly have 1 star for a reason. When we received our apartment I wrote down so many things that needed to be fixed. The switches didn’t even have switch covers and you can see all the wires. The pool and gym is only open when the office is open but of course they don’t tell you that. The apartment under us took 4 months before they even bothered clearing it out. I left for two days and left an appliance under the sink I called and they were no help. They said it had already been cleared out. I know for a fact it had not because these apartments are too lazy and take weeks or months before fixing anything. On top of it, it was a weekend and they are closed Sunday so there is no way that they cleared out the apartment in 1 day. Nothing but liars and useless people in the office. I wish I had listened to the tenants at the apartment who told us to never live there. Ask all the neighbors nobody is happy to live there.

Been living here since December of 2021. Overall, my experience has been great! Lily in the office is highly responsive and ensures everything gets taken care of in a timely manner. Andre the maintenance person is amazing and always ensures that I am taken care of and things get fixed asap. Overall, this is a good place to live. If you have proper expectations you will be good. This is middle aged property meaning things are not brand new, maintenance though is on it and fixes things in a timely manner. This is Texas, pests come with the territory so proper cleaning and storage is vital; however, pest control is fabulous and can come weekly if needed (I have only used them twice and it's because I don't like spikers or gnats). Office management is fabulous, kind and gets things done in a timely manner. The location is great as everything is nearby and the schools are good. Family friendly, pet friendly environment.

I visted cornerstone last Wednesday & the leasing agents were very helpful and super nice! I’m going to be renting from this place and I am so excited. I love the customerservice and the environment is VERY neat.
When I moved in the place was disgusting. They didn’t even vacuum the floors. I pulled sheets off dust off the ceiling and it looked and smelt abandoned. The drawers were falling apart and I refused to put things on the cabinet shelves without some type of layer to protect my things. It is also very outdated.

If you have residents living in an apartment complex 24/7, a maintenance staff should be available 24/7. Yet, we are going on DAY THREE of 95 degree temperatures INSIDE because of our broken A/C at The Collection at Overlook, and no acknowledgement from staff of our maintenance requests or attempted communication yesterday and today. We didn't sleep here last night and we won't be able to sleep here again tonight. ?? We have not had an entirely unpleasant stay here. However, the office girls asked us to lie to cover for them switching days off before we even signed a lease, the gate has not been working in weeks, my husband's motorcycle was stolen this past Wednesday (likely helped by the fact that the gate hasn't worked in weeks), the fitness center is closed indefinitely, and sometimes they decide clean the pool. There is no enforcement of community rules and we have had parties at the pool (which we live across from) going until 2am. Things haven't been unlivable until our AC broke this weekend...actually, it broke last week, and they did a temporary fix, so now we're sweating through our clothes again. It's not the worst place I've ever lived, believe it or not...but I'd keep looking if I were you.

It is horriblere this apt!! I am just waiting for my leasing agreement to finish in 2 months, then move out. AC not working, I can’t even count the number of times I have complainted about it. Keep promising to come fix the issue but never got it done

If I could put 0, I would. I wouldn’t ever lease here again! I’ve had a ton of problems (bugs, AC not working, hot water not working up to 4 days at a time, dryer outlet wasn’t working, breaker box still trips, vent fan not working, doors don’t lock and the list goes on)since I moved in. Things never get fixed, only bandaids put on to “hold over.” The maintenance staff is a revolving door, in the year I’ve been at this apartment, I’ve literally met 6! The management company is does not know how to properly run a business. When a maintenance request is put in, no one leaves a note to explain what was done, there’s never any follow ups, and it takes months for corporate to order parts. I’ve had numerous conversations with maintenance staff and they are not happy employees, what does this tell you? I picked this place because of the gates but they never work. They say there’s 3 pools but only one is usually open and only about 75% of time during summer due to “issues.” Gym can only be accessed during office hours. Half of the staff is nice and helpful, the leasing agents, Lily and Jordan. The two who have the most authority, Suzanne, the manager and Carol, assistant manager could care less. I complained over and over about all of the issues and they offered to “bomb” my apartment after a couple of months instead spraying the entire building in the beginning. Finally, 2 months before my lease ends, their suggestion was to move into another apartment and sign a new lease. I laughed in their face. You seriously think I will let my 1 year old live in these conditions for another year? Oh and not to mention, I tried getting out of my lease, they diI contacted corporate twice and contacted corporate in which I found no help either. Please do yourself a favor and DONT LEASE HERE! Or with any International Realty property, the management company.
This property at this point does not cease to shock me. I have continued to have ongoing issues with this place. Steaming from Disgusting management practices that show through all employees all the way to Poor maintenance or Lack of around property. Jordan and Lily are unapologetically unprofessional who know slim to no answers for any questions which of course stems from the top. Even after moving out I have continued to have issues with making making my final payment which of course I was misinformed on not one occasion but 3 times. But of course they found a way to blame me and threaten my balance will show on my credit if I do not pay when and where at their convenience. This place is joke from the terrible apartments themselves but to management. So glad I got out only after a year but as you read the above you will see this is still an on going battle. I am beyond mortified these people can even maintain this location. Property management company needs to reevaluate their hiring process or just start from scratch! Never in my life have I asked so many times to make a payment only to be turned away so many times since it is not to their convenience!!!!
Apartment was out dated, old carpet, pest, mold, broken drawers, broken toilet. Water bill and other fees are excessive. Management does nothing to make you a happy resident. Gate was frequently broke, my car was broken into twice. Go elsewhere, this place is a dump. The move in special is not worth it, they will nickle and dime you to make it back.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! ABSOLUTE TRASH MANAGEMENT! NOT ONLY DID THEY MOVE ME INTO A DIRTY APARTMENT THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG KEYS SO I COULDNT MOVE IN FOR 3 DAYS! THEY GAVE ME MAGOT INFESTED FRIDGE!!! when I asked for a new one they told me to “just clean it” . The maintenance used my knifes to scrap the dead bugs out of the refrigerator! After I moved they charged me an extra month that I did not live there! They have units with the same number so your mail gets sent to the wrong apartment! The maintenance enter your house when you go out of town & leave notes saying they had “emergency requests”. THE GATE NEVER WORKS! bums enter the property and go through the trash cans! I even had one follow me home! If you call them at the office they will hang up on you if your calling for complaints! I moved out September 28th & they charged me 1,120$ for October!!!! If you tour the property you’ll notice there are many vacant units & its for a reason! Terrible management!!!! This place should be shut down!!!
After helping family members move into these apartments I was appalled at how dirty the apartment was and the number of broken items. The bathroom sinks were disgusting, peeling porcelain and extremely rusted, drain mechanism not working, door knobs don't work. The carpet was stained and had dribbles of paint on it, handles broken off the refrigerator. These items should have been addressed even before renting to anyone. The website pictures show nice, remodeled apartments, definitely not what was given to my family. Such a false representation of what you are renting. I would definitely not recommend this apartment complex.
The apartments are not worth the price you're paying at all. I have mold in my apartment that has never gotten taken care of and management doesn't care. If you do have issues with your apartment, management will tell you that it's your fault and then they'll conviently lose all the letters you hand deliver to them about trying to move out. It's extremely dirty and there are bugs everywhere. The water is also gross and ac doesn't work most of the time. Take your money elsewhere.

When I first moved in the apartment was in terrible condition, me being very green I didn't really notice how poor the condition was. Once I took a look at the apartment after I signed the lease, I realized my mistake. Ultimately it was my fault but it was the worst mistake I could've made. When I first talked to them about the issues in the apartment they told me it was my problem and that because I moved in with a special they didn't need to fix it. After constantly arguing with the management they finally sent someone to take care of some of the issues that I noticed but the manager was rude about it every step of the way. A resident is paying to live here and management should fix the issues with any apartment they lease out. (August)1 week after I moved in I got infested with rolly pollies, I went out and bought sealant and fixed the issue myself because management said pest control couldn't solve the issue. Early December my kitchen got infested with ants, they came out of the disposal. (Yes, I'm clean, I don't keep dishes in the sink and I never leave food out.) I've had a few run-ins with large roaches and small beetles inside the apartment. But I will say, outside at night be careful when you step because the large roaches will scurry across your feet. T....T After they collected my pet fee (i paid a little under $900, for my 2 cats, which is honestly ridiculous!), their demeanor changed became a bit more positive but I try my hardest to avoid going to the office. The only time I really go to the office now is for my packages. I have a few more months here and I'm ready to move out! If you happen to be one of the poor unfortunate souls who ends up here just keep your place clean! And don't let management get away with crap, be firm!

The unfortunate truth is these apartments are overrun with cockroaches. I've brought it up to them and they were very dismissive. We pay monthly for pest control and it only happens by "request". If you have another option in the San Antonio area.... TAKE IT.
