Property Ratings at Coronado Apartments
We’ve had roaches since December and management refuses to take further steps to actually fix this. Our apartment has also been a consistent 80 degrees despite the thermostat being set to 63. We’ve put in multiple maintenance requests for these issues to no avail. Don’t move here if you’re looking for apartments with responsive management who care about your comfort and wellbeing

Even though the lease says no smoking on the property, our neighbors are constantly smoking cigarettes, both inside and outside in the common area to where it gets into our apartment. It is disgusting, and the office does nothing about this.

The laundry room is always messed up. Half the washers and dryers don't work and they always break again shortly after being fixed. Management takes forever to respond to emails and isn't helpful. They had my car towed out of the spot I pay for and said they couldn't do anything about it so I had to pay over $200 to get my car back. I'm leaving as soon as my lease is up, because I can't afford $3000 to break the lease

Staff works hard even in snow! Office has been very helpful and fun with resident events and keeping us updated on all the goings-on. I'll stay as long as I'm in Boulder thanks to the service and good price Good job guys!
I lived at Coronado for 2 years. First, I'll talk about the apartment itself. Then my experience with management. The apartment was clean and affordable. My unit received plenty of natural light, because it was roughly south-facing. My main issue with the apartment was noise. Traffic on Table Mesa is loud, but you'll probably get used to it. However, the buildings are old, so you WILL hear people walking around above you. The floor "creaks" as you walk around, and as your neighbors above walk around. It's not really a sound you can get used to. The layout of the building is similar to a motel: some common staircases leading to outdoor walkways between front doors. I don't know all the layouts, but my bedroom was right along one of these walkways. You WILL hear people walking by your unit at night while you're trying to sleep. Much worse if you're near a staircase - I was consistently jolted awake when people simply moved up/down the nearby staircase, because their footsteps vibrated my room. Now onto the management company - I really hope people consider the management team before they decide to move here. Simply put, you will not get your security deposit back. My deposit was $500, I'm not sure if that has changed. The minimum "cleaning" charges upon move-out will quite literally come to a higher total than your security deposit, so you will end up owing money to management. For example, I was charged $300 for "touch-up" paint repairs. I'm attaching pictures that were provided by management for justification of this charge. Judge for yourself: do these damages require ~10 gallons of paint to repair? It is a ridiculous money grab from management. I did not recognize the potential for these excessive charges when I signed the lease. My bad - I should have read the lease more carefully. However, the story does not end there. Coronado management claims that they sent me bills in the mail to recover my debt. I did not receive them, and I confirmed they had my correct address. But sure enough, the debt collection agency that Coronado eventually retained had my correct address. Then, when I contacted Coronado to inquire about the charges and request the pictures that are attached here, I was repeatedly rebuffed. My emails frequently went unanswered, and I was repeatedly told "we'll get back to you later today" etc. with no follow-up. It took weeks.
These apartments are nice and quiet. Staff does what they can to help with any issue and are very responsive and mantanence is the same way. If prices stay low I'll stay. I would recommend living here for sure.
It's nice here. Free parking space and close to downtown Boulder. Staff goes above + beyond nad that includes maintenance staff. I'll stay here as long as my job allows. Thanks to Eddie and Frank for fixing my screen so quickly!
Pros: Good location. Close to multiple bus routes and 36. Cons: Management does not respond to calls/emails promptly or, in most cases, at all. I recommend checking your rent invoice every month, since management will often charge you incorrectly or place fees with no explanation or notification. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend living here.
Frank and Eddie have helped me out big time. I've lived here for several years now and previous grounds guys and maintenance guys were not great to say the least, but these guys get things done! They alone are reason enought to live here The office staff is very nice and goes out of their wat to help and seem to really care. The previous girls were great in the office as well and I'm glad to see a continuance of the great attitudes and customer service mindsets. YOu won't regret renting here if you do!
These complexes are falling apart and the management doesn't care. The maintenance comes to "fix" the problem but the problem just comes back time and again. There's a crack growing in my wall and ceiling that they don't seem to care about, despite me verbally telling them about it months ago. I've had a kitchen drawer just completely shatter for no reason. The internet sucks, the management couldn't care less, and the maintenance is terrible. They've had 4/6 washing machines broken for ages, making laundry incredibly annoying to do. Their dryers are terrible, old and poorly maintained and don't even dry clothes very well, no matter how empty the barrel might be. It looked like a good deal on the surface, but it's not worth the trouble.
I lived here for over 5 years and only had good experiences with the other tenants and staff. The staff was always very responsive, attentive, and thoughtful. The buildings were clean and the neighbors very nice and quiet. The location is perfect for getting to CU, US-36, Highway 93, NCAR, and downtown Boulder, but is removed just enough to feel relaxed in your own space. The best apartment I've ever rented in Boulder. Thank you, Coronado!
Whether you're a CU Boulder Student, work in Denver or the mountains (like I do), this is a perfect location. US 36 starts here, Hwy 93 is down the street, Foothills Pkwy is 2 blocks away, CU Boulder is a 5-10 minute bike ride away! Staff is awesome and the rent is very reasonable for the area! Apartments are clean and very comfortable!
