Cortland Belmar

I submitted a maintenance request in the evening/after hours for having no hot water. I received a call first thing the next day from the maintenance tech asking if it was okay to come look at it. I work from home so I always appreciate having a call first so I can arrange my schedule accordingly. The two techs that came by were very pleasant to work with and resolved my issue quickly! So happy to have their support in making this a great place to live!

Cortland Belmar has been such a wonderful experience and I have loved calling this place home. The staff is super helpful and kind and always willing to help! I am moving to continue living at another Cortland Community but Belmar is absolutely the best place to live.

Cortland Belmar was the first property we viewed on our apartment list. From the time we stepped into the leasing office until now, the management team has provided top-notch customer service. Great place to live!

We moved from out of state 6 months ago and had a hard time finding the perfect home. We decided to drive around areas we liked and look at apartments so we walked in to cortland belmar. Alex dropped everything and to give us a wonderful tour and our search was over! It is the perfect location, staff, price, and community and we love living here!

I have been a renter in Belmar for a little over 3 years and I am consistently impressed with the involvement of the leasing office and the leasing agents. Cortland Belmar goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel welcomed and connected through social gatherings that are hosted on property! The location is absolutely amazing and the main reason we have stayed here year after year. I definitely recommend checking out Cortland Belmar!

Cortland Belmar knocks everything out of the park. The leasing office has the best staff who were extremely helpful from my first phone call to post move-out. Alex and Marissa are super friendly, professional, and absolutely care about past, present and future residents. The maintenance team always quickly responded to service requests (and I had very few) and were always courteous to call ahead of time to ensure they could enter the unit. I loved my unit, it was in excellent condition upon move-in and the location gave it a more exclusive floorplan that gave it 2 balconies instead of one. I know Cortland acquired the property well after the complex was built, but just wanted to highlight this as this was a huge plus for me. The surrounding area of Belmar is also an exciting, fun and well-appointed area. I never had to drive to get anything I needed, everything you can think of is within walking distance, with multiple grocery store options. The area is also beautiful with all of the foliage, and every section of the Cortland property was also full of plants and other things (some areas have string lights between the buildings) that made it picture worthy. Should I continue to rent, and if my needs ever take me back to even close to Lakewood, I will absolutely make Cortland Belmar my first choice again. I have nothing negative to add about this property or my experience here.

Recently moved to Cortland Belmar from out of state. Alex has been super helpful the whole process making everything as easy as possible. Any questions or issues are always resolved quickly and with care. The apartments are really cute with so many walkable restaurants to go to. Also the community in belmar is very kind!

In the dictionary under the words awesome, helpful, friendly, caring and absolutely amazing should be a picture of Alexander! I moved from another state and had to get an apartment without physically being able to tour any. I had originally tried another apartment community and that was a disaster, so when I tried Cortland Belmar I was skeptical. The first person I spoke with was Adrian and he was great! He answered my questions and set me up with a virtual tour appointment. That's when I met Alexander. He probably walked over a mile while showing me around the entire neighborhood. He showed me two different versions of the apartment I was trying to rent and gave me all kinds of information about the area. It was amazing! He sent me all the paperwork I needed to get in and he continued to answer every question I had, always within a day or less. Just recently, he followed up with me again about my move in date, keys, etc. I have to say that I haven't seen my apartment yet, but I'm hoping it's as great as my experience has been so far. Thank you Alex and Cortland Belmar team! UPDATE: I have lived here now for about 9 months and it is great! Any time I need help with anything, have a question, need something fixed in my apartment, it is done quickly and with a smile. Also, and I really worried about this in an apartment, I can’t hear my neighbors. Once in a while I can hear someone close their door outside, but that’s it. The neighborhood is amazing. Everything and I mean everything is within walking distance! I hate moving and hope to stay here a while!

This apartment complex is a gem. Everything you could want is in walking distance or a very short drive away. It is so convenient, and I really love that. The staff has been wonderful; Alex was extremely helpful and flexible with my move-in, helping me find the right apartment in the complex. Tim is great with maintenance; I had some issues with the washer on move-in and they were taken care of right away. All of the amenities are in good repair, as is the rest of the apartment. I really love living here. Tim and Billy came to fix my water heater the day after I requested service, and it wasn't even an emergency. Actually, I submitted the request after hours and Tim called me back immediately, asking if it was an emergency. Then they were out the next day to fix it, which they did. I really appreciate their professionalism and competence, and they are extremely friendly and personable as well. Thank you, gentlemen!

Excellent! Special call out to Alex as he is always cheerful and interested in helping out above and beyond expectations. The apartment is comfortable and maintenance is attentive. We have had emergencies that were quickly addressed and minor annoyances that were resolved. We love living here!

I currently stay in a two bedroom and have a lease for a year. I really like where I stay. The appliances are basic but up to date and the layout is nice for the apartment. I like the new guideline roll out of the community being smoke free. The maintenance team is quick, friendly, and professional. Requests are handled the next business day. The 2 bedroom I have is a noticeably smaller for the second bedroom (I personally don’t mind as I’m pretty minimal, but I know some prefer a bigger space) The view though from the apartment is beautiful in the front especially during winter. PLENTY of parking if you like to host or come home late. Hardwood floor in all places aside from bathrooms and bedrooms. The balcony is attached to one of the bedrooms (master) for my unit, unsure if it’s like that for everyone. Neighbors are really quiet and friendly. Trash is near by so not a huge adventure to get to lol they have an Amazon hub which makes getting packages easy and safe. I don’t interact much with the office staff even before the switch over from the prior company, mostly because there’s not much to bother them about but when I have had a question, it’s either answered on the spot or I got an answer within a week. The walls are thin in the unit itself if you have a roommate in the second bedroom but the walls between your unit and neighbor are not thin. I work from home and I barely hear my neighbors if ever, whether upstairs or next to me. The property itself is very clean and there are plenty of dog bags stationed everywhere, there’s literally no excuse for someone not to pick up after their dog. I really enjoy the fact that the units are key fob entry and the main door to the apartment is pretty heavy as well. I feel safe living here when it comes to coming home late at times and enjoy the ability to walk over to Target, Whole Foods, King Soopers and lots of other places in the area. If you’re wanting a downtown experience with less people, this is your spot.

Half of the apartments look absolutely nothing like these images. Maintenance was extremely slow and we experienced a dishwasher leak that covered our who kitchen floor for 6 months. It was gross when we moved in and there have been many other issues that were never resolved.

We moved in August 2020 and immediately had issues with our apartment. All maintenance issues were reported immediately. August- My apartment key did not work in the front door which took a few days to fix. The back doorknob latch broke which prevented us from being able to use the door for more than a week. October to February- The upstairs neighbor had a sink leak which leaked into our kitchen. Maintenance cut a hole in the ceiling for some reason, which they did not call to patch it until January. That same weekend of the leak our window got stuck open and has been about ¼” open this whole winter. November to February- Our water heater began going out. After 6 “repairs” and three months later, it is still not working. This is also affecting our heater intermittently; it will not go above 68. We initially thought it was due to the kitchen window not being able to shut since October. We were just informed by maintenance we have not been getting heat because of the water heater. (Additional smaller issues not mentioned) Would not recommend.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Never have I had such a horrible experience at an apartment complex. Upon move in, the unit was filthy! I had close to eight maintenance requests within the first month. It took three attempts to fix my refrigerator (without for nearly a week). In fact nearly every maintenance request took at least two visits to get "fixed". My furnace went out and then would only heat the apartment to 67 degrees (maintenance request completely ignored). You will experience gang-members hanging out in the parking garage and listen to cars drag racing up and down the streets nearly every night. Management completely oblivious and will defend this awful property. These units are no 'bargain' and given the fact this place has no amenities, I can't imagine what I was thinking when I signed this lease. Beware of this place! There is a reason for the sudden increase of vacancies at this dump!

Moved in a couple weeks ago. Solid buildings, great staff. You can literally walk to everything around here, Whole Foods, Movie Theatre, Lucky Strikes Bowling, lots of restaurants and mountain views off our balcony. Renting the unit was easy and seamless. Dog park area right out your front door. Thanks again to April and the other staff member in making our move pleasurable. Joe R.

Staff is great facilities are great, they go above and beyond to accommodate I had some issues that I was having problems with and they went above and beyond to help out and accommodate me with my situation.

We have been living at the Downtown Belmar apartments for almost two years. A two bedroom, two bathroom. This apartment is walking distance from the adorable downtown shopping area which includes local and chain favorites. An awesome movie theater and upscale bowling alley and the best whole foods around! The maintenance team and leasing office are very responsive and help out anytime there is a need. Even on weekends or after hours. The building is easily accessible from the free parking garage and street. But secure with code entry into the main area and into the indicidual pods. There are not a lot of units so it is homie and not overwhelming. There is no pool or gym, but you get a discount to the gym about a block away. In Denver's crazy expensive rental market this is a gem. Reasonably priced with very nice up to date finished units. You're about 10 minutes from downtown and on the west side close to the mountains. All around rocks :)

We love the apartments here at Belmar! Everything is nicely updated, parking is never an issue, and living in the middle of it all is convenient and fun!
