The community is safe and peaceful, with easy access to the best schools, and plenty of space for various types of activities that bring us closer to nature, whether alone, with family or friends. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The facilities and clubhouse are excellent. I would definitely recommend it and we are very happy to be part of this community.

I've been very pleased with my experience living in these apartments! The area is fantastic, offering easy access to everything I need, with a peaceful and well-maintained neighborhood. The service team has been exceptionally responsive and attentive – any concerns I’ve had were promptly addressed. It’s a great place to call home!

My husband and I enjoyed living at Cortland Independence since we first came in 207. The office staff is friendly and really helpful in any area of need.

Previously, problem resolution was more effective, currently they depend on Samsung's time to comply with appliance warranties and waiting times are longer.

I highly recommend these apartments! The area is fantastic, with top-notch schools nearby, making it perfect for families. The management team is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. A wonderful place to live!

I’m very pleased with the property all the amenities and the crew that works here. Specially with Amanda the leasing consultant that helps me to move here always with a great attitude to help.

When I came to rent everyone was kind and polite. Now I went to complain because the neighbor makes a lot of noise between 10pm and 5am and the manager laughed in my face and said that people have lives. You mean I can't sleep and I can't have my life? People dropped things on the floor during the night these days, they knocked over a pan and woke me and my children up, it was in the middle of the night. When we rented, we were told that there are other condominium units in other counties. And that at any time we could make the exchange. Now I went to talk to see about the change and they said that there is no such thing. They responded that the rules had changed. I asked, has it changed and what does my contract look like? They said they can't do anything. Ultimately disappointing

We've lived here for about 2 months so far and have had nothing but a positive experience. Staff is kind and helpful and our living space is exactly what we were shown when on the tour. While we don't take part in every amenity, the pool is wonderful and we love the ability to be able to take a walk while feeling safe in the surrounding area. We also love that it's close to many stores - Target, Aldi, Publix, Walmart, etc.. and have grown to love the community thus far!

My husband and I moved here several months ago. It's a nice peaceful place to live. So convenient to everything. Very nice amenities here. Love the trees, landscaping and the staff here. I recommend it for your next home. Would love to see a few mini library boxes set up and a car wash area added but other than that wonderful place to live.

Renewing in Cortland turned out to be an unfortunate decision that we deeply regretted. Since our move, the constant noise from renovations in the surrounding apartments has been a constant source of annoyance. In addition to this, we have faced serious inconveniences as a result of these renovations. In a particularly concerning incident, a significant amount of water leaked from the ceiling of our main bedroom, soaking our bedding and mattress. Despite filing a formal complaint, unfortunately, the administrators have chosen to ignore this incident. This lack of attention to the problems we face as residents has been extremely disappointing and has tarnished our experience in Cortland.

It's a clean, safe neighborhood with great amenities and staff. I like it so much that I've lived here for 12 years.

We have called Cortland Independence home now for almost seven years. And it has always felt like that for us, even since the first days we moved in. Our neighbors are pleasant, and the office and maintenance people are super helpful and friendly. We're pleased with our beautiful new apartment and look forward to spending a lot of time enjoying the bike trails, pools and friendly neighbors all around us.

This place has been a real godsend compared to where I used to live. If your looking to move closer to where the action is in Florida but would still like a community that is relatively quiet, surrounded by nature and has some of the best amenities, I would definitely start here.

One of the nicest places and areas to live in and near the Disney Magic Kingdom theme park area. Quiet updated and everything is easily right near by.

Here is the best place to live, we are delighted to be part of this community. Here you will have everything you need for yourself and your family, gym, arcade game, coworking space, pool, BBQ, playgrounds, and of course great schools nearby. I’m Sarah and my husband is Mark and we have lived here since 2021. We love all the updates that have been made in this complex, the neighbors have been nice and the amenities have been great for us and our dogs. The staff here are always great with any fixes and have great response times. I recommend this place especially if you work for Disney! It’s just down the street to just about everything.

Peace in the City With its quiet setting adjacent to a wildlife habitat and nestled in a safe, comfortable, established neighborhood with tree-lined streets, lovely paved biking and hiking trails, and very little traffic—away from busy thoroughfares, but with easy access to shopping—this is a perfect environment for families and others who enjoy tranquility and having the option to sleep with windows open in good weather. The communit also offers playgrounds, two swimming pools, tennis and basketball courts, a workout area, and activities. Apartments are well designed and appointed—and affordable.

My husband and I enjoy living here at Cortland Independence. We've been here for six years and have seen many improvements to the grounds as well as the buildings and apartment interiors also. We enjoy riding our trikes through community and greeting neighbors. It's a great place for young couples with children, and dogs are always welcome here too.

Cortland New Independence is a nice place to live, good location, safety and clean. It is close to restaurants and shopping centers.

So happy to be living in an area where the staff cares about their community and is always looking for ways to support them. Ive lived here for about 6 months and any time I need something or have had a concern, the staff make me feel heard and gets work done asap. The area is always clean and presentable, quiet and safe. The amenities are great, every matinence order put in is fulfilled quickly and every staff member has been so helpful and personable during our time here! After being a previous resident, I decided to return to Cortland. I absolutely love the neighborhood, the schools, the community and amenities. The ladies in the leasing office are always friendly, helpful, and aim to make sure any issues you have are handled in a timely manner, and the maintenance team usually handle any repairs before the 48-hour time frame. I am glad to be back! I would highly recommend Cortland Independence.

It's a great community to live with family and kids. It's calm, beautiful and well-preserved. The apartment is good. Needs some improvements in terms of the common living area such as more barbecue places (the entire condo has only 1) and a gym with more types of equipment.

Living at Cortland Independence has been an overwhelmingly frustrating experience characterized by a series of persistent issues that have significantly diminished the quality of life for residents. These issues include ongoing construction-related disruptions, such as early morning noise, unannounced water shutdowns, and a complete lack of transparency regarding construction schedules of construction workers entering my unit unannounced with the exception of a email a week prior.. This lack of communication has made it nearly impossible for residents to plan their lives effectively, demonstrating a disregard for their basic need for a peaceful living environment. A critical incident involved construction workers leaving the front door open without a Cortland Independence representative present, compromising the security of residents' homes and the safety of their pets. For a good hour my cat could not be found and the front door was left completely open. This lapse in oversight was not only a significant safety concern but also indicative of a lack of attention to the well-being of residents. Furthermore, the unprofessional and indifferent response from the management team to resident concerns, especially in situations where clear empathy and swift action were warranted, has contributed to an overall sense of being undervalued. Residents have faced these challenges while paying exorbitant amounts—90% of their incomes, in some cases—to reside in what feels like a perpetual construction zone. In conclusion, the numerous instances of poor communication, security lapses, and the overall lack of consideration for residents' well-being demonstrate a critical need for improvement. These issues not only impact the daily lives of residents but also create an atmosphere of frustration and dissatisfaction. It is my hope that these concerns are addressed promptly and effectively to restore a positive and supportive living environment at Cortland Independence.

The wonderful apartment complex is tucked in a housing development and is just so quiet. Great amenities and you a part of the community. I feel our 2 bedroom is the right size and we love the screen in porch. I think our cat loves it more. You are very close to shops which is perfect.
