Property Ratings at Cortland NoDa
A phenomenal community to live in. I've lived in 5 different cities with some of Cortland competitors (Camden, MAA, and Greystar properties) and this has been by far the best experience. Its community-centric vibes make it a standout in the realm of hospitality and the price band is arguably the greatest feature.

As I am coming up on my year here, I truly have felt like I am apart of a community. The neighbors are very friendly and considerate. The exterior of the building looks immaculate. The communication memos has always been clear and timely. Every time I need something Riki has been my first point of contact and she’s been nothing but knowledgeable, personable, and dependable. Very happy to have moved here.

I love Cortland Noda. Management , amenities, staff is great! I feel very safe here.
I appreciate the rent price for how many amenities this apartment complex has. I love that it’s right next to the light rail station as I use it consistently on weekends. I appreciate the effort that the staff makes to keep their residents happy by hosting the events throughout the month. I find myself excited when a new month comes to see what the schedule is going to be and what events are happening!
Great apartment, very clean and everyone is very friendly. The staff here is great and really work hard to keep everything at Cortland top notch!
Living at Cortland Noda since January has been a great experience. Everything is convenience and fits my lifestyle. Riki is amazing, attentive, and welcoming each time I enter the building. Maintenance is great and fast. I really feel like I made a great decision and look forward renewing.
Cortland Noda has a great location with amazing staff! The services and amenities rival other communities in this price range but the floor plans are WAY better. I’ve enjoyed the quick access to uptown, the restaurants nearby and the breweries within walking distance over the last 8 months. This is a great place to live!
My experience at the Cortland NODA has been nothing less than phenomenal. The assistant manager Lauren is so personable along with her leading agents, you’ll feel right at home! Beautiful community and neighborhood!
The staff is amazing! Everything runs so smoothly and unproblematic around the apartment.

We moved here in early September, 2023. On our third day we had to euthanize one of our cats. Later that day we received flowers and a beautiful card from the staff of Cortland. That set the tone for the warm, supportive environment of Cortland. The quality of the building and life here exceeds all our expectations. We enjoy coming home very day.

My boyfriend and I moved here from Rhode Island and don’t know anyone here in North Carolina. We were welcomed with open arms and the staff have been so friendly! With socials happening nearly every week, there’s always something going on for us to get involved in that gets acquainted with the community. If you’re thinking of moving here, don’t think twice because this is THE place! The location is prime, the parking is awesome and the staff is always smiling. Come be our next neighbor!

Living in here has been a disappointing experience for me due to multiple issues that have significantly impacted my quality of life. 1. Lack of Security and Theft: One of the major concerns I have faced during my time here is the lack of security measures. Unfortunately, my personal belongings were stolen on the premises, and despite reporting the incident to the management, no action was taken. ( they did offer to change locks on my door a week after the incident, where have you been earlier? ) 2. Thin Walls and Noise Disturbances: The poor construction of the apartment complex is evident in the thin walls, which allow every step and noise made by neighbors to be heard. Living in such conditions has made it difficult to relax and enjoy my personal space. The excessive noise, particularly on weekends by the pool, where people are constantly yelling, and smoking, has become a constant source of annoyance and disturbance. 3. Unhelpful Management and False Friendliness: The management team at Cortland Noda consistently demonstrates a lack of concern and support for their residents. While they may present a friendly facade, their attitudes drastically change when residents face issues. 4. Invasion of Privacy: Another concerning aspect is the lack of privacy. When dealing with private matters, such as involving the police, it has come to my attention that the office staff eavesdrops by standing near residents' doors inside of the apartment . This invasion of privacy is both unprofessional and disrespectful, fostering an environment of gossip and mistrust within the community. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Cortland Noda as a desirable place to live. The issues I encountered, including theft, noise disturbances, unhelpful management, and invasion of privacy, have significantly impacted my overall satisfaction and well-being. It is crucial for potential residents to be aware of these shortcomings and consider alternative options that prioritize safety, privacy, and attentive management.

Hello, We regret that you had this experience while living at Cortland. While we can’t guarantee safety as crime can, unfortunately, make its way into any community despite best efforts, we do our very best to prevent it from occurring here. We understand you have contacted our courtesy officer as well as the local police department to assist. Please let us know if you would like to re-key your home, and we can also provide video footage to the police. We do our best to address noise complaints as we receive them by first contacting the residents and reminding them of both the community’s quiet hours, as well as best practices when it comes to listening to music, watching TV, or any other common apartment living noise concerns. We encourage our residents to let us know any time there is a disturbance so that we can address them as soon as possible. We do our very best to create a welcoming environment for all of our residents and guests and to be fully transparent in our policies and processes, so I am disappointed to hear that you had these concerns. I would like to assure you that we do take residents' concerns seriously regarding the surveillance of the community and the comfort of our residents, and we are happy to continue working with you to turn your experience around. Again, we regret that your experience was not up to the standards that we strive for. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out at noda@cortland.com. - The team at Cortland NoDa

Perfect placement for an apartment complex. Also, you cannot typically find a better square footage for apartments and price is typically reasonable.

Friendly leasing staff, great communication, however, slow to respond to some complaints, as is security. Maintenance is always on top of things and landscaping is always kept up. Overall, would recommend for professionals and college students…not a family with young children primarily due to the language and environment of the pool in the warmer months.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your honest feedback. I regret to hear that you have had concerns with security and some neighbors' behavior at the pool. We have a courtesy officer that works for us and lives onsite who is always available to assist with concerns such as these. Cortland NoDa has an amazing and well rounded staff. Couldnt ask for anything more of the maintenance and office team. Things always get handled so quickly! The complex is always clean and generally quiet. Parking is easy even if the gate breaks once or twice since there is a second entrance.
Great community! Its always clean, the staff are super nice and helpful. The events are fun. The online community also is very responsive
I absolutely love living @ Cortland Noda. The management, staff, maintenance staff, and housekeeping are all phenomenal. Always there to assist with me with any problems I may have or questions I need answers to. The building is gorgeous and the amenities are the cherry on top! Very happy I found this complex! 10/10 definitely recommend.
Choosing Cortland Noda was a great decision. The staff is really nice and take great care of the complex. The amenities are always clean and sanitized. The location is really convenient! Cortland Noda supports small businesses by having food trucks share their amazing food/beverages with us. They have security on the premise, which is a plus. The staff gets any issues resolved as soon as possible. I have no real complaints about this place in all honesty. A wonderful place to live.
Cortland has been a great community to live at. For an equally new apartment in the area Cortland NoDais one of the better priced apartment complexes that still offers all the amenities you can need. The proximity to the light rail and Optimist Hall is the best. I see other reviews complaining of thin walls but in my opinion this complex is much quieter than most others I have lived in. The office staff is wonderful and Maitenence always comes same day to address a request.
Love my studio with windows floor to ceiling and awesome city views! The apartment is spacious and quite!! Great amenities, lots of parking and great staff!! Sherry
The biggest advantage of this complex over others in the area is the parking garage. Several new apartments being built will only have street parking. The staff here is very responsive and friendly - questions are answered and issues resolved promptly. Even during COVID, there have been perks - we get coffee and food trucks weekly. There are always little things to grumble about but this is the best rental experience I’ve had in Charlotte.
I moved from up north and really enjoy it so far. Being close to uptown is great, the light rail makes it easy, and there are tons of food delivery options (my favorite). There's been plenty of parking - sometimes tough in communities like this - but I never have trouble finding a space on my floor. I haven't had a ton of interaction with the office (no issues with my apartment), but they were helpful and nice anytime I've needed something or had a question. I do wish they had a dog park or pet lounge of some kind since my dog meets so many other pups on our walks and really wants to play with them. Overall though I think it's a great place to live!
Best view of the city, and walking distance to everything uptown Charlotte has to offer! I've toured multiple properties in the Charlotte metro area and this location takes it to a whole different level, from how welcoming and knowledgeable the managing staff was (Lauren and Susan)to even hosting monthly events and food trucks for the residents! I am so looking forward to my new chapter in my career while enjoying this new community family this fall!
I have nothing but good things to say about Cortland Noda. The day I came I had no appointment and the girls in the office were so nice. They also had a food truck which I thought was really cool . I enjoyed my tour with Morgan as she was really knowledgeable. I’m looking forward to moving in soon!
I previously lived at another Cortland Property and I am so happy I chose Noda. So far all of the events have been amazing and I have met alot of people at the pool. The staff is super nice and always very helpful. I have tried many different food trucks just living here which is great because I am a foodie and always looking to try new things. The grounds are always well kept and issues seem to be addressed fast. Every time I come to get a package the girls seem to know me by name. I love living here and the location couldn't be better.
I have been here for a couple months and i love it. All the residents events really create a sense of community.
I transferred from another Cortland property in Dallas, TX in July and I must say, despite being owned by the same company, this NoDa property is so much better. The check-in process went smoothly. The leasing staff is always available when you call. Maintenance staff are quick to respond and so nice. The community itself stays clean and is so quiet. Love the gym and according to staff,, more equipment is to come soon.. The pool is not the largest but I've never had a problem finding a chair. Oh,, forgot,, there's free Dilworth coffee available if you want. But most important, my one bdrm is so stinkin cute too! The kitchen and patio won me over. And finally, I must say the addition of a free parking garage and food/coffee trucks that stop by weekly/biweekly doesn't hurt either. It's been almost three months and I have do not regret my decision to live here at Cortland NoDa.
I’ve have been a renter here for only a short time, but so far I have been so happy with my experience. The staff is so kind and helpful. They all work with a sense of urgency with any question or request that I have had so far. I love the location. It’s perfect walking distance for so many great restaurants and activities around noda. Being right across the street from a light rail station is also a plus. Highly recommend
Cortland NoDa is a really nice apartment complex. The staff take great care of the place and is always clean. The residents are nice as well and never had any complaints. Overall, a good experience here so far.
Cortland NoDa stays true to what it has to offer! It is a community I feel safe in and provides hotel-like amenities. The location is ideal for trips to NoDa or into Uptown via the Light Rail, especially for people like me who are diligent about being able to have a drink and not drive. I often take the light rail 2-3 times a week to attend yoga in NoDa and it has become a ritual to my week and self care. The community itself is relatively quiet, and is an ideal place for a career or education driven individual. I thoroughly enjoy utilising the 24/7 gym, free coffee (that actually tastes delicious!), and pool.
I moved into Cortland NoDa in March 2021 after renting in Charlotte for several years. Typical apartment hunting is stressful and exhausting, however Cortlands' team made it a seamless, stress-free experience! The entire staff is extremely responsive, professional and resolution-oritented. Highly recommend!
Great place to live! Amenities are excellent - parking, pool, gym. Neighbors are courteous and staff is friendly and helpful.
If you want to feel like family this is the place for you
Cortland NoDa is a very clean, secure and pleasant community located very close to Uptown Charlotte. The staff members are very friendly and responsive, and keep the property nice. The members of the community are friendly. It is also a pet friendly community. The amenities are great. There are many activities during each month for social interaction such as food trucks, coffee trucks, and online events. The rent is very reasonable for this area - I first moved in October of 2019 and just renewed. I plan to stay here for a while.
Cortland Noda is so convenient to work and local eateries.
