I have truly loved living here in this beautiful 3rd floor treehouse. (BLDG 10) The privilege of watching the seasons change here is special. I have had an extensive number of remarkable birds during migration, a truly unique front row seat.
The staff are very friendly and it's a comfortable place to live.
Overly expensive for the amenities provided. Dog waste everywhere. They arrange good events but lower rents would be more appropriate, the economy will a not good and eventually tenants will leave if high rents are maintained

The overall living experience in cortland North plano is awesome. The parks, pool & gym is very good. The service requests are handled efficiently and emergency requests are handled on time even in the midnights which is much appreciated.

Welcoming management, friendly and prompt maintenance and pest control, excellent exercise facilities with 3 weekly instructor led classes. Beautiful pool area with for swimming, relaxing, soaking up some sun. So glad I chose this as my apartment home.

I simply love my community and my home. Well-kept community and very peaceful. I love seeing all the kids riding their bikes and running around.
Closed excellent shopping and entertainment. Also close to medical facilities. Easy access to tollway, 121, and 75. Wooded pathways for walking, great pool for summer time, picnics and relaxation. Full service clubhouse and gym.

Cortland North Plano is a friendly, diverse community with most of the standard amenities, such as a club room, exercise room, and game room. The office team is competent, helpful, and friendly. And the maintenance team is always prompt and efficient. One outstanding feature is the natural environment. There is a small creek running through the center of the complex, bordered by groves of native trees and a walking trail. Also, there is an adjacent golf course with miles of walking trails. The opportunities to be outdoors, close to nature, is unique for apartments and what keeps me here.

Cortland North Plano is a friendly, healthy, and enjoyable place to live. The management and office team are all very friendly and helpful. For anyone who enjoys exercise and nature, there are excellent opportunities for both. There is a well equipped workout room, a lap pool, and miles of trails for walking in wooded areas throughout the complex and on the adjacent golf course. Smoking is not permitted but pets are welcome.

The renovation are beautiful, the apartments are huge. You feel like you have your own single family home. There are a lot of community amenities and the staff is super! They offer great community events for all ages. The walking trail is gorgeous and it inside the property. I feel very safe and a great school district. They have a large variety of floor plan unlike other communities. Awesome place to live.

Pools under construction all summer, 38% rent price increase with no improvements. Cockroach problems. Calls are not returned by staff. Service requests are closed as resolved when nothing has been done. I've lived here for 2 years and Cortland took over a year ago and things got worse.

We love staying at Cortland North Plano...have been calling it home since more than 1.5 years...staff in the office and maintenance team is very responsive and friendly, it is near to all the shopping strips and the highway, Frisco ISD schools are nearby etc...we highly recommend Cortland North plano to everyone..

This complex is very comforting and makes me at ease. I had a really bad experience with my past complex and I expressed that to cortland; they were so understanding and helped me more that I would ever imagine. And for that, I plan to show it. My husband and I were so excited to find what we thought were nice apartments. So far (including today, as I'm writing this), our apartment has flooded FIVE times. We moved in mid-March. Every time we turn on the bathroom sink, flush the toilet, or take a shower, water comes up from under the toilet and floods the entire bathroom, hallway, and pantry. We've used all of our towels several times trying to soak up all the water but it's not enough. We have tried COUNTLESS TIMES to get someone there to fix it and NOTHING IS BEING DONE. This is beyond frustrating at this point and has ruined groceries as well as furniture. ONE person came out and "fixed" it yesterday, but it flooded our apartment again today. And to add to that, it took them a month and a half to get a laundry room door. When we did get it, it didn't even have a handle. Still waiting on that. We also don't have the trash can I guess everyone else has? We tried putting our trash outside the first week of living here and an animal got into it, so we stopped doing that. Trust me when I say, do yourself a favor and look somewhere else to live. We are seriously considering breaking our lease after only 2 months of living here. Worst apartment experience we've ever had. Really disappointed and just a waste of money.

The maintenance staff are amazing! They display efficiency and good manners, especially Carlos. He quickly handled the electrical issues and showed courtesy and professionalism throughout.
1) Cleanliness: Once you enter the community and focus on buildings other than the Community Center, the complex comes across as old and poorly maintained. Entrances, stairways and corridors are downright filthy. A lot of this is due to the trash collection policy. Tenants are asked to put their trash right outside their apartment doors, in the corridors. That is a messy situation, with leaking/ripped trash bags and Careless trash collectors. Keeping the corridors clean is also a responsibility of the tenants along with the management. BUT, some tenants realize that, most don't. I personally try to keep the corridor clean, but you share the corridor with 3 other apartments and if they are too big on keeping it clean And since the management does absolutely nothing to regularly clean the corridors and stairways, the approach to the apartments' main doors is really unpleasant. Apart from the buildings, the trash collection areas (1 each on the North and South end of the community) are also very poorly maintained and visibly obvious. 2) Construction Quality: Poor Construction quality. Biggest issue is the floor/ceiling and the noise that travels from upper apartments to lower apartments. The noise here is not something generated by extraordinary circumstances (Parties or tap-dancers). Even regular walking gives an excuse to tenants living downstairs to complain to the management. All it takes is an inconsiderate person living downstairs who does not realize that the sound of footsteps and toilet flushing is an avoidable part of Apartment living. If you have kids or Heavy-walkers or a lot of guests coming in, it's better to get a ground-floor BUT that has another issue... Pests 3) Pests: This community is built right next to a Golf course and a creek cuts through the community. Because of this Pest problem is a real issue. What to expect: Snakes Lizards Newts Anoles Rats Bob-Cats Coyotes Raccoons These are the creatures that I have personally seen. In my very first month of moving here, I found a Copperhead snake in my garage (venomous snake). Most of the garages are built right next to the creek and they attract a lot of snakes and other pests etc. during winters and rainy seasons. If you do decide to get a garage, my recommendation is to not use it for storage for any item that you want to move inside your apartment. Pest issue is aggravated in this community because of the Golf course and the Creek. Consider this if you have younger kids

You indicated you were not impressed with our valet trash service and I'm happy to say we are making improvements in this area and you will see a positive change in the next couple of months. We also appreciate you doing your part in keeping the breezeway clean! The creek and golf course add to our beauty, but as you mentioned it can also attract pests. This property used to very good but not after the new management took over. They renovated outside the apartments but they don't take care of their tenants. The apartment entrances are filthy , they stop cleaning it since they took over. Their maintenance response is very slow, if you have emergency they will not respond. I can't wait to leave this apartment, waiting for my lease to be over!
Such and amazing community for my family! My teenagers love it here! Very quiet, safe, and conveniently located to everything. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. Anytime we have ever had an issue, it has been quickly resolved. Just renewed our lease for another!
Took a few months to get the refund check, then it bounced! No response from management
Very good service and immediate response, Ash from Maintenance team took care of the request very professionally.
