I absolutely LOVE Cortland!!! The management and team are the best people ever. And the community is great!

We have lived at this property for two years and it has been a fantastic experience! There are two factors which uniquely set this building apart from the other, many buildings you could live in downtown. First, for some reason there are so many low buildings around this one that it creates a beautiful urban horizon - especially on the east side of the building, which is also where the pool grand grill-out patio area faces. It's remarkable! Second, the building hospitality staff could not be any better! Nate and Imani are second to none the best property managers in the entire Cortland property family - I guarantee it!! The welcome-desk staff are just as friendly and warm: Tiara has been a steady presence always welcoming us to the building and wishing us a good day as we leave for work. Herman, Isaias, and Maria take great care of the building proactively addressing potential issues with doors, elevators, and the entire building is spotless all the time! It's great living downtown amidst the great restaurants and bars, and our experience is made even better when you come home to friendly, warm and welcoming staff! We are so appreciative of the staff that take care of this property and have loved Cortland's investment in the property since taking it over!

Cortland River North has been a wonderful experience. The biggest thing I was looking for when moving was a place with good management that cares for their residents concerns and Cortland has exceeded my expectations.

I've lived in Cortland River North for three years and plan on staying. The neighborhood is amazing, the units are beautiful, but it's the staff and community here that really makes the biggest difference. The staff at Cortland is the most kind personable community I have ever seen and I am so grateful I found them!

I moved here from out of state and while normally moving is super stressful, Imani made sure every step of the move was easy. She truly is the heart and soul of this building and is one of the main reasons so many of the residents continually resign their leases. While this building is in the heart of the city, we are tucked away a little in River North giving it a very quite feel. The apartments are beautiful and having such a big balcony is amazing. The concierge staff is amazing and so friendly. I will continue to recommend this building to anyone.

We enjoy living here. All the staff members are very nice and helpful. The common areas are very nice and always clean! If you are looking for a place you should come and take a look.

I've lived here for over 4 years and I just transfer to a 2 bedroom. The apartments are spacious and updated with modern appliances. I love the no-show kitchen and our dog loves and we value the dog run (especially during the cold months or late nights). Its also a great location - so close to so many restaurants, Chicago activities, and even the river walk. The staff at the building is so friendly and even more helpful. I love calling this place home.

An incredibly living experience in the river north area! I’ve lived at a couple places with 24 hour doormen/women and Cortland exceeds all expectations with their friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness when needed. Also the location can’t be understated.

I have been living in Cortland River North for about 6 months and I don't regret a single day living here! This is my first ever apartment post-college and I must say it's absolutely perfect and fits every one of my and my wife's needs. The apartments are big, spacious, and have a balcony; All for a great price! The building is always kept nice, clean, and tidy. The community team is always ready to support your each and every need. If you're looking for a new apartment or moving out of your parent's place, I would highly recommend Cortland River North!

I lived in this building for almost a year now and i really love it . The location is close to everything, the apartments are beautiful and the management is so helpful , especially Imani. I would definitely recommend moving here.

The appliances break regularly. One elevator during rush hours due to lots of moving in and out. Pool is small and rarely gets sun. For the pricing they are advertising you can find cheaper with better amenities. Management is just okay. Location is good, that’s the best thing going for it.

I’ve been here 4 years, never had an issue until new management (Oakwood River North) took over in January – extremely unprofessional and inexperienced. From living in the living room for 3 weeks because our bedroom was covered in mold and the floors were torn up, to 90 degree hallways, being treated like a “guest” not a resident because it’s now corporate housing with an 800 number, only one elevator in use during rush hour, you’re not allowed to use the A/C until June 1st due to “Chicago Law” (there’s no law), and now I can’t let my senior dog pee on grass that I pay a professional service to swap the grass weekly to prevent odor. BUT, if you’re a smoker and sign a non-smoking lease – guess what, this is your place! They don’t enforce it. They make and play by their own rules and could care less about residents. This used to be an awesome place to live, management rocked – felt like you were living in a boutique hotel. Now it looks like a cheesy club ran by immature, inexperienced, and rude management. So over it.

I like my apartment, great amenities, great location and they are always have events for us. Very entertaining.

I just moved in last week, but so far I couldn't be happier with the apartment. The space may be a little smaller than my friends' units, but I think it's very well organized and designed - it flows well between the rooms. The amenities are top notch, but marble counter tops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, and a Nest thermostat system. I think that my favorite design element is the kitchen - very sleek space that hides the microwave in the island and the countertop gives a lot of working space. The service is great too - I had an issue with my breaker and they responded within five minutes at 9pm on a Thursday. The view is spectacular (my unit faces South). The gym is solid with a solid amount of machines and free weights, and the pool and lounge area is very cool as well. More dog friendly than any place I've ever seen - have a dog walk and I've seen at least a dozen residents with dogs. The staff downstairs is very friendly. Location wise I don't think it could be better - 15 minute walk to the Loop or Gold Coast, and in the middle of a great restaurant scene. Overall, loving the place so far.

Moved into this building two months ago and I have to say it's been pretty close to perfect. The common spaces include the entry with 24 hour doorman, pool deck with grills, and the 25th (top floor) party space. All of which are so well kept by the staff. Apartments are brand new with dark wood floors, nest thermastats and white kitchen appliances. However, refrigerator, freezer and oven are a bit small. That has been the only downfall but overall, I can't wait to spend the next upcoming years at the Jones!
