North San Antonio begins along I-410 and extends northward to roughly Ammann Road. The area becomes steadily more rural as you head north, with large ranches and farms dotting the country roads. Closer to the highway, you’ll find beautifully landscaped neighborhoods and terrific shopping areas mixing to deliver a much more suburban feel. The upscale North Star Mall is located here, offering stores like Dillard’s and Saks Fifth Avenue.
A variety of neighborhoods are contained within North San Antonio. The ones on the south end include Castle Hills, Oak Valley, Greater Harmony Hills, Hollywood Park, Hill Country Village, Lockhill Estates, and Whispering Oaks. Travel north past Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Camp Bullis to find spacious and elegant communities like Timberwood Park, Bulverde, and Fair Oaks Ranch.

Property Ratings at Costa Bella
Lived here for over a year and even got a larger unit because we are expecting. This place has gone down the drain, no working dishwasher, they "upgraded" before we moved in but they did it so fast we have loose outlets, some molding that is still the old color, peeling paint in both bathrooms, not to mention the floor is so thin that we can hear our upstairs neighbor every weekday morning at approximately 630, I work nights so this sucks. The tipping point to giving them 1 star was when I went out to my car and we had a lovely little note that stared because my registration is expired they will tow my car. Excuse me? Why is it any of their business what condition my car is in, not to mention they don't have parking permits on their cars so it's the property that is allowing the tow company to come in to tow their own residents car. They nickle and dime you for everything, even though most of the "amenities" don't work. They have smart rent but it took 4 months to get access, this is also supposed to work with the community gates but one gate is broken and the app you use to get access doesn't even work, that doesn't stop you from getting charged monthly for it though! Then the mailboxes have been broken into several times with a crowbar and the cameras they have are so low quality that they don't catch anything. For what they charge its just not worth it, find a better complex or rent a house.

The new company that now owns this property (bought by them over a year ago) has been nothing but a headache to deal with. Having to call every day for the same problem and being told different things from different people is frustrating at best. The gates havnt worked for 2 months now, and the prices have only gone up. AND NOW THEY ARE THREATENING TO TOW THEIR OWN RESIDENTS CARS. Do not rent here. they will make your life a living hell. now we are stuck here for over 6 more months... and can not get out

Good apartment, but just another reminder that even decent apartments now are rife with corporate greed. Apartment location, condition, and layouts are all excellent; a little pricey, but that's anywhere now. Apartment staff is very friendly and as helpful as they can be. Unfortunately, the apartment staff seems to have absolutely no authority, so their help is essentially just telling residents there is nothing they can do about anything. Not their fault, just another example of a cowardly corporation (GVA) hiding behind human beings that have to take the brunt of the frustrations from their tenants, while they rake in unethical amounts of money. When I resigned my lease, there were categories of improvements GVA would make to my apartment. When i went to turn in my application, the front office had never heard of any of these offerings, and put in a "request", that I have not heard anything about, a month later. So, they lie. Not really much wiggle room from them there. If they are so busy that they can't do what they say they are going to do, lower C level pay and give it back to the people paying them their unethical salaries. My dryer has not worked for about 3 weeks now (3rd ticket put in for this). I put in a ticket 2 weeks ago, and was told that due to a busy schedule fixing A/C, I'd need to be patient. Completely understood, only so much a short staffed group can do, and no fault on them. However, when I stated I shouldn't have to pay for a dryer (and subsequently, a washer I can't use without the dryer or a clothesline), I was told there is nothing the apartment can do. Apparently GVA is struggling for their $45/month. If you decide to move in here, you'll receive a nonnegotiable smart device package for about $35 a month. These devices are pretty old, and have little to no support from the company that sells them (Alloy). Lived here for a year now, which means i've paid $420 dollars for devices I don't use. I can get a smart thermostat/smart lock/and the 2 smart light switches that come with it for way under $420, for much much better product. But of course, the company before GVA probably massively overpaid to enrich their fellow corporate scum, and now have to pillage the average person's wallet to pay back their poor financial investments. If the devices have so little support, how can the apartment guarantee these devices are getting the proper firmware/software updates to ensure no one is hacking into your home.

We have a spacious three bed room apartment with two garages. The environment is quiet, clean and friendly. The maintenance is good. The location gives you immediate access to shopping and major highways. Very pleased with our choice.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a new apartment after we both graduated from Texas State University. We were looking for an apartment in The north side of San Antonio that was spacious, had a pool and weight room, and a patio or balcony. We got everything we wanted when we chose to sign at Costa Bella. Besides having all 3 necessities, it had a unique floor plan that no other apartments that we toured had. You can walk around the entire apartment without having to turn around and back out of a room. The apartments are far apart from each other and has beautiful green areas in between. Costa Bella sets itself apart from other apartments in the area. I think we have found our home. Thank you Costa Bella and Apartments.com
To be able to wake up in bliss is what every normal person craves. I live at Costa Bella Apartments, and I have too say that it is a blissful place. Neighborhood is nice and family oriented. Kids playing riding there bikes safely outside. You can feel safe because it is a gated apartment complex with also a security guard on watch. I dont have too wake up in the middle of the night fearful. To live in bliss is the way every apartment should be!
I have live in several apartments threw out the years but, Costa Bella apartments is a place I can finally call home. The apartments are spacious and the office staff is always very helpful and fast in fixing any issues. Also I have found that the apartment are very well made, they are well insulated, so your light bill is not extremely high, especially with the weather we have here in Texas. The property is always clean and the amenities are always available and clean. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.
I have lived here a little over a year and have enjoyed it! The community is great, the apartments exterior are beautifully well designed and the grounds are well kept, but the best part is the interior it has a great floor plans that is also gorgeous with a house size kitchens and master suites and master baths. The floors are solid and I never hear anyone outside of my apt. I love the way my apartment flows from one room to the next, it also allows for separation and privacy with the rooms on different sides of the apt. To top it all off.....the staff are friendly and helpful, whenever I had a problem (which is not often) maintenance comes by quickly the same day(in most cases.) The maintenance staff are awesome, polite, and they keep you informed through out the whole process. In a lot of way I forget that I am living in an apt. the best place I have ever rented.
Costa Bella Apartments are in a grest location in North San Antonio. I currently live in a 2 bedroom 2 Bath apartment. Neighbors are almost non existent considering this building sits above single car garages. The garages lead to your apartment. Cuts off noisy neighbors. This complex has a beautiful pool, 24 hr gym, grills, and tenants everyone could live around. Since ive been here i have yet to complain about anyone or even felt the need to. Price of this place is affordable and definitely worth the price. Garbage gets taken from your front door on certain days. No trips to the dumpster! Couldn't be happier!
I feel as though the rent is miss than reasonable. Ok gym. Good pool. Newer appliances. You can pay extra for covered parking or a garage. Only complaint is the maintenance response time. That is why I can't give five stars.
Costa Bella Apartments is beautifully designed but beneath the surface lies a dysfunctional, odd, and morally twisted staff whom are eager to serve you up a hideous experience. The staff was professional and pleasant during my paperwork stage but things quickly went downhill from the first day I physically moved in. I had odd upstairs neighbors who were intent on making my stay as unpleasant as possible. They made excessive noise by stomping, banging on cabinets and doors, running their large dog around the floor, and other strange things. The neighbors also brought their dog to litter my patio area with feces (I was on was on the first floor). I complained and things got worse and management said they couldn’t do anything about it. The neighbors began spraying chemicals in the venting ducts and other areas of their apartment so that it would seep into mine; and someone in the complex sprayed something on my vehicle’s wheels/drums that caused the ABS system to malfunction. The neighbors “followed” me around my apartment when I made sounds that indicated where I was (including the restroom & shower); they then made strange and loud noises directly above me. An apartment grounds keeper operated a leaf blower outside my apartment for 20 minutes one day after a rain. He wasn’t there to clear any debris; it was done to annoy me, and when I saw this, I knew I’d better get assistance because this complex had some very serious negative issues. The neighbors eavesdropped on my conversations which led to the final straw as far as I was concerned. During a conversation I had with the apartment manager, she repeated some things I had talked about while I was on the phone with a friend. I knew then that my problems were more than just terrible neighbors – it was terrible management as well. The manager had either engaged in eavesdropping or been party-to the eavesdropping done by my neighbors. I complained many times. My complaints left the staff accusing me of imagining these events so I complained to the corporate office and still got no assistance. The problems grew as I looked for a solution. A few of the agencies I made reports or consulted include the police, EPA & air quality testing, Federal Housing Administration, a military attorney (I’m an Air Force vet), and the Better Business Bureau. I’ve had countless apartments in my 25 years of travels around the world; including third-world countries. By far, this is my worst experience ever.
The location is right off the highway making it convenient to get on/off the highway with an elementary school less than 100 feet away. The rent prices fluctuate, so always check on the website for a good price point. The front office will honor their online price which is how I got a good deal on my monthly rate. The surrounding area is very quiet and everyone in the complex is very friendly both staff and residents. Every online maintenance request I have submitted has always been answered promptly with the maintenance staff readily available 24/7. There are a lot of big restaurants and bars nearby both across the highway and in the vineyard shopping center 500 ft away. I recently renewed my lease and would gladly do so again.
My girlfriend and I were looking for a new place to live after I found a new job in San Antonio as a Cancer Researcher. We lived in a San Marcos and both graduated from Texas State University. We were used to a small town and a simple way of life, so moving to a big city and finding a new apartment seemed stressful. Luckily we chose to search on apartments.com before any other site. Apartments.com helped us find out new home at Costa Bella. The online tools made searching for a new place very easy. I was able to find a new apartment within 15 minutes of my new job and within 7 minutes of my girlfriend's new job. We are ready to start out new lives together and we couldn't be any happier. Thank you apartments.com.
