Property Ratings at Cottonwood Ridgeview
Lived here for 3 years after moving to Texas whiles saving cash for a house. This worst management staff I've ever had to deal with in any city I've lived in. The place is nice, the location's great, and the maintenance staff are generally friendly. The price for the apartment was generally lower than the surrounding area. It's still not worth it. Whatever you gain in these features you'll lose when moving out and dealing with the management. Seriously, every 3 months without fail, they would try to pull something and I'd need to waste my time arguing with staff who couldn't help. When I originally moved here from Louisville, I arrived here after driving all night. The management staff only then told me I needed a specific copy of my renter's insurance with their name on it. The day I arrived to sign my lease, my only options were to produce this paper right then and there, pay for their insurance for the first few months, or to sleep in my car "because our office closes at 5p." Fortunately, one of my closest friends is my agent, so he faxed them the info immediately. They immediately denied the paperwork claiming minor typos. My agent had to fax them a total of 3 times before they finally accepted I had renter's insurance. They also tried to inform me that my "apartment might not be ready yet" so I might have to find a hotel on what was agreed as my move in day! One year they refused to send me any renewal cost until I called their corporate headquarters in Salt Lake City to complain they were breaking the 65 day notice on the agreement. Another year when they were changing management companies, the emergency maintenance number they posted was a dead number. For a while, the only way to get the staff to show up at their office on time was to publicly shame them on Twitter. Another time, they left a notice on my door that said I was behind on rent and that I had 2 days to remedy this. This was weird because I never missed a rent payment. I went in to find out that they had started using a new website to track who had renter's insurance and they never transferred my paper copy of insurance over to their website. They gave no notice of this to anyone and just started charging me fines for not signing up on something they never told me about
Tried calling/emailing several times with no-response... no wonder why their prices are too low even though they are new built than others in same area.
RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! This place has the worst people working for them. They cant even honor their own words for 24 hrs . We had inquired about a very expensive apartment on Sunday 23rd July and the very next day when we went to book the apartment on Monday 24th July they refused to give the apartment on the rate that they had earlier offered (less than 24 hrs ago) and raised it by $100!!! I would have even paid that extra $100 but the lady at the front desk was so rude to my husband and did not even seem to be interested in giving the apartment. I would never go to place where they treat customers without any consideration or respect. Thanks Courtney Manor for raising your rates and saving me the pain of staying at such a horrible place!!!
This is a good apartment complex. All we need for a growing family of 5 is here. School with 10 star rating is within 3 minute walking distance. We choose to stay here because of the environment and good neighbor, and the convenience. Walmart, Rusell part, public library are within walk in distance (less than 5 minutes by drive). Being moving down here from California since 2015, this is a quiet and clean complex that we recommended for family. Very friendly front staffs and the management. Maintenance staffs are very responsive and quickly handle most of the problems right the way, even during the night we had the leaking from heater. Great living quality is important for my family.
I have been a resident in this complex for many years and I can tell you that the new management is horrible and just trying to extract as much money possible from the renters. 1) The previous management used to replace furnace filters with good quality ones, but the current management uses the cheapest available which will not filter any dust. My kids started having allergies and breathing problems recently. We never had these problems before. 2) Procedure to renew lease was a smooth one with the earlier management. The current mgmt tries to increase the rent by a huge margin by quoting exorbitant market rates. 3) Front office is HOPELESS!! We look to avoid having to go there as much as possible. I completely agree with the previous negative comment (paper thin walls, poor management, low quality appliances and cabinets..........) Be careful and shop around before finalizing this apartment.
Pros - nice neighborhood, good drive up appeal, nice workout facilities, parking, easy access to 121 Con's - poor management (don't respond to calls or emails, horrible customer service skills), paper thin walls (can hear neighbors conversations on both sides and lots of walking about upstairs), older fixtures/appliances, not much shopping (exa. grocery stores) in immediate area For me I can deal with most of the con's except the horrible management team. I've been a resident for over 3 years and am continuously underwhelmed by their service and competence. I will not be renewing and look forward to being able to spend my hard earned money at a place where I feel considered and valued. Don't believe me?...check out other reviews...seems thier poor service is a trending theme. Save yourself the headache and rent elsewhere...there are other nice communities in the nearby area.
Beautiful, clean & creative! I love the location! Long term living for sure !
