The town of Parachute is named after Parachute Creek, which flows through town and empties into the better-recognized Colorado River. Legend says that a land surveyor in 1879 noted that the river patterns of Roan Plateau resembled lines of a parachute, giving this northwest town its name. Activities include fishing, rafting, and horseback riding. Not far from the modest restaurants and I-70 is a golf course. In addition, the Book Cliffs - a desert mountain range made up of sandstone - surround Parachute.

Property Ratings at Cottonwood View Apartment Homes
Overpriced for the “landlord special”. Cops are constantly being called on neighbors for fighting/abuse. Maintenance orders can take up to a year to be resolved. Management is joke
Have had a broken window since we moved in nothing has been done after several attempts to get it fixed. Meth head are everywhere. Front office is completely hopeless. Was hoping with new owner place would be better but so far absolutely not.
There are meth addicts every where; they are always finding needles every where. People are always fighting or partying or both. The apartment complex does not care. They told me I could just break my lease early and lose my security deposit... The apartments are not nice... There is no pool, it is filled with dirt... I highly recommend NOT living here.
Methlabs in buildings landlord says keep Windows shut if you don't want to smell meth. Syringes everywhere. It's a future apartment killer. Call any other apartment complex and tell them you are from cottonwood and you won't get in. Try it.
The land lord is great, he will work with you and hes very quick with repairs. We've been here a year and are going to renew. It's pretty quiet in the winter but not so much in summer. There are a few down sides. .. he lets people smoke in their apartments so when you come home the halls always reek of cigarettes and weed. there is a major theft problem from vehicles so always lock up. Overall if you keep to yourself it's a great place to be.
I live in a 3 bed 2 bath apartment w/fireplace. Love this little apartment. It is pretty standard but has made a home for me, my mother, and my 3 little boys. Big park, ball field, and the Colorado river in walking distance and a lovely view of the Colorado mountains.
